This is an excellent hotel to staying to start your holiday before flying out on an early flight. The hotel is clean, very modern, lovely bar with great service and food. You can eat in the bar or the restaurant. The rooms are lovely plus bed is very comfy. Note parking in the NCP car parks across the road are expensive at £59 per night but the hotel give you a QR code to get 50% off. Next time i will include that one night in my car park package. Brilliant hotel and will stay again.

whats the point of having a gym that doesn't open until 8am? Not really helpful for people using it for business. at work for 8 also the lighting in the room isn't ideal

We stayed the night before an early morning flight. Computerised phone allows you to set an early morning call which is good. 3 minutes walk away from departures. Drinks in the bar are very expensive.

Hotel is lovely and clean inside. The staff and facilities were excellent. Food was reasonable and not extortionately priced. My only criticism was as you enter or leave the hotel, your immediately surrounded my smokers and are deluged with second hand smoke. Personally I would set up a smoking area for them away from the entrance. But apart from that I’d give the hotel 4.8 out of 5.

At the time of booking it said pets were welcomed and car park was available. We arrived to be told that we could not use the parking at the hotel and that we would have to use the airport car park with a discount that meant we had to pay £30 for a day. For our dog they said we needed to pay £28. A lot of hotels don’t charge but those that do, it’s like £6 to £10. When you are going to charge that much it should be stated at the time of booking. There was nothing to indicate how much would the car park or the pet. The gentleman at reception wasn’t nice about it there. Rather unfriendly. The hotel was nice enough but we won’t be using it again as feel tricked.

Clean, spacious room! Overlooked Birmingham airport. Easy to get to from train station. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bar is 24 hours also so was nice to be able to go down and get a drink then take it back up to my room. Swift check out. I also had a bath in my room which was lovely to relax in. Very happy with stay! I usually stay at IBIS next door so Novotel was new to me but I will definitely be booking here again in the near future.

No signage at front of building to show where entrance is. Could not find ( maybe my fault) info on website re car drop off. Had to walk quite a long way in a covered area on the heat with suitcase and rucksack. Exhausting in high humidity

I recived a very nice room, it was very clean almost everywhere, untill i saw the carpet, it had a huge spillage stain that could have been removed, but wasnt for some reason. The service in the restaurant and the bar area are way too slow, there are 3 men running aroud trying to serve tables, but obviously they need a bigger staff. I ordered a Buddha salad, with smoked tofu, the tofu tasted like it hasn't smoked but rather dranched in a liquid smoke which was awful. The lettuce was totally wet, no flavors what so ever it was a waist of money. I came hungry and left hungry.

Just avoid at all cost. The only upside is that is close to the airport. The place was just terribly busy and the staff not enough to assist the long queues of clients waiting to be served. They advertise £15 parking which is a myth, I paid £30 to park for 9 hours. The reception had not explained that you need to give registration car number, so I was stopped in the gates and asked to pay £ 25 even before getting to the parking area. Just a nightmare. The second bed was not made on arrival, being very tired at 10 pm we waited 1 hour for the bed to be made before we go to sleep. Finally and disgustingly there was urine residues on the toilet seat. For a price of £ 340 per night just not fit for purpose, never returning there.

Had a short stay at Birmingham Airport Novotel to recover from a night flight. Room was comfortable, spacious and very well appointed. Reception staff checked us in early and even took our trolley back for us as we wanted to turn in straight away. The room was very well insulated from the aircraft noise.

Hotel was spotless, restaurant staff very good my meal was good but my wife & daughter were very disappointed with there’s. But the real issue with this hotel is the soundproofing between rooms it was shocking!!! I heard hairdryers at 3 & 4 am walls were like paper… Avoid if you need a good nights sleep

It's a good location for Birmingham Airport and generally a nice hotel, but the bed was very hard, no give in the mattress at all so very uncomfortable and a poor night's sleep causing back ache. This maybe for some people but if anyone with healthy issues this may not be a good choice

Awful service both from Novotel and Hotels.com. I made a late night decision to stay at the airport hotel to avoid a 3am departure from home the next day. I booked and prepaid at 7pm and arrived at the hotel around 9.30pm (wanting to go to bed for a very early flight. I arrived to find that Novotel hadn't processed my booking and I waited 40 minutes. I wasn't even offered a drink while I waited and paid £8.50 for a small glass of wine: a reasonable hotel would have offered that for free for the confusion. Eventually the hotel gave me access to a room saying they would sort payment out afterwards. But Hotels.com on the phone were telling me that should not go to the room, and that I needed to start again and should be put through to their "relocations department". Awful all round.

What a great find! Literally across the street from the main terminal. Great staff. Great food. Excellent room. I needed help with my luggage as well as wheelchair assistance. They took care of everything. Will definitely stay here again.

Arrived at 1am following a flight to be told the key system wasn't working only to be walked around to an Ibis budget hotel which is smaller than my child's university form room. I complained and was told I would be refunded and not even that has been done. Appalling stick with Hilton next time.

We arrived at 1am. Having stayed at the hotel the previous week and received excellent service we were met by a non communicative unfriendly member of staff. Arrived at room to find sofa bed not ready for my child. Back to reception and advised room not made up for 3. Bluntly told the bed was there we just needed sheets which would be sent to room. No apology. I made it clear I also expected that someone would assemble the bed and make it up. Same person arrived a short time after and without words or any apology made bed up and left. I know that errors happen with rooms in busy hotels but I would expect some sort of communication and a welcome from a front of house member of staff and an apology when something is not correct

Our double room was a good size although it could have done with a worktable or bench for using a laptop. The food in the restaurant was excellent, with reasonable prices. I would happily eat there again, even if I were not staying in the hotel. This hotel is ideal for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. You step outside and the departures entrance to the hotel is right in front of you, just a very short walk away.

Couldn't ask for a better located Hotel, both to the airport and NEC, good transport links into Birmingham at not a great cost. Excellent breakfast and comfortable beds.Great overall.

The check in was busy so there probably should have been more than one agent on the desk. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and my partner ordered a burger without cheese plus fries and the attendant repeated the order back but as with many places we have been before the agent doing the order messed it up and it came out with cheese and the fries bought were cold. This is a basic mistake but instead of taking the whole order back and starting afresh we waited another 5 minutes for a burger to arrive and then another 5 minutes for another set of fries. If my partner had a serious allergic reaction to cheese i think the staff may have taken this far more seriously but instead tried to placate us with a free dessert or drink, we opted to take off the service charge which again should be optional and not an automatic right to add to the bill.

The hotel facilities were very good except we had a bad experience in the restaurant in the evening. We waited for approximately an hour for our food and it wasn’t until a waiter realised we didn’t have food that they had to reorder based on losing the order. Then when we waited to lay there was nobody available to accept our payment. They seemed to go to everyone else and ignore us. Shame because we have previously used this hotel and restaurant with no problems.
