Standard rooms, clean and comfy enough. Nice bar area. Friendly welcoming staff. Close to the venue we went to for a gig. I would not recommend booking the parking under the hotel though. There had to be like 20-25 spaces and it was super tight to get in and out. I struggled in a hatch back. Ok if you have a tiny car. There's a big multi story next door, wish I had parked there.

Everything was superb. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the parking space. It was extremely difficult getting out of the car park... luckily my partner is an excellent driver.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a lovely hotel, in a great location with good facilities - comfy bed, great shower and good breakfast. Our only disappointment was the bar service when we arrived back at the hotel after a concert, around 1045, and found that cocktails were not served after 1030 and many of the items we enquired about were not available and snacks could only be ordered at reception? As hotel guests, we felt that we were not particularly welcome to stay in the bar area and we left without finishing our rather expensive drinks. The bar experience was the only negative from an otherwise excellent few days in Birmingham.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Located near the busy nightlife of brindley place. Hotel was clean spacious and the room quite comfortable. With on site laundry and gym, more than happy to consider staying there again should the option be presented.

Stayed for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn to attend the British Athletics. Cleanliness: Requested for a change of bedding- the duvet/duvet cover was covered in stains. Staff was helpful and changed the bedding. Bathroom: Shower- no hot water, luke warm, kept changing temperature. Comfort of bed: Very uncomfortable, solid, hard bed, poor nights sleep. Room comfort: Thermostat was faulty, would not change temperature, stayed at 25 degrees and was really hot and uncomfortable. Noisy room: Lots of outside noise, could hear outside the hotel. Overall an average hotel stay, not a 4 star hotel rating, same as a basic Travelodge stay but triple the price.

The room and hotel were spotless. The bed was super comfy, room had great amenities like mini fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. Could easily control the room temperature too. Breakfast was fab - lots of choice! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend 100%

The bar, reception area and restaurant are clean and modern, however the room was very old and worn and smelt fusty. Definitely not what we were expecting and will not be staying there again. Most of the staff were friendly however one member of staff when checking into the hotel was very uninterested

The room was dirty, there was crumbs and a small bottle of chilli oil left under the dressing room draws, I only saw it what I sat down. The heat and ventilation authentic was noisy, I turned it off at the thermostat but I carried on rattling away all night. It’s a good job I had had a few beers to help me sleep….

Lovely breakfast with lots of variety…but it wasn’t free (as the previous screen suggests)…we paid £12 each! Staff were friendly. The carpet by my side of the bed (next to the bathroom) got wet…as did some of my clothes. I imagine the shower is leaking into the bedroom. The room smelt a bit fusty. As did all of our things when we left after 2 days…which we didn’t realise until we got home! So I think the problem was a lot worse than we thought it was (we didn’t report it and should have done!).

Room had dirty cups and had to call to replace them as soon as we arrived. Shower is tiny and has sharp metal parts of old fixings sticking out in the room, also seems run down with flakey door and sink unit, beds are rock hard and keep moving when getting on and off them. I could hear noise from next room and banging in the night. The tv remote didn’t work and I had to ask for another one. Other than that staff were friendly, however took several attempts to answer reception phone. Ordered room service and the chicken strips were all batter and barely any chicken and the loaded waffle fries were cold! There was also dust in the air vents and I am asthmatic with heart failure. I was not impressed at all this time and only booked here again having enjoyed our last stay but now will look around for alternatives Much as I don’t expect it to be brand new I do expect a certain standard when it bares the Hilton name.

The bed in room 209 was so hard I couldn’t sleep. I will never stay in this hotel again and will certainly remove it from my companies list of hotels to stay in as a result of this. Completely unacceptable level of comfort

AC wasn’t working on a hot day. They charged me twice and said there was nothing they could do. The next day and after hours spent on the phone -they ‘found’ the double charge to reimburse me. The hotel itself is not bad, but I had a terrible experience and found some of the staff useless and not willing to help.

This Hotel is well situated with lots going on around it. My room was a little disappointing, in need of a refurb and no AC and window that only opened slightly. For £160 i would have expected more . I have stayed in alot of Hotels in Birmingham and this was not great. On a positive, breakfast was good and staff were helpful and polite

I booked a room at this hotel weeks ago and it was confirmed. After queuing to book in I was told l didn't have a room and would have to book in at another hotel on the other side of Birmingham. This was not only inconvenient but the hotel did not even have the courtesy to inform me by email.

First class customer service. I stayed here for 5 nights recently having expected to only be at the hotel for two. My partner had an operation at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital and ended up staying in longer than we thought. The hotel could not have been more accommodating or kind. I ended up checking out on 3 occasions only to have to check back in again because my partner wasn't coming home. The hotel took great care of me; gave me my old room back where they could: and a few little extras besides like some chocolate and a nice card. The hotel is perfectly situated in Brindley Place and close to coffee shops, bars, restaurants and only a short walk along the river to the Bullring. But it's the customer service I will never forget. From reception to the bar staff to housekeeping to room service. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Birmingham in the future.

I stayed here for a short break with my 7year old son, and would come back in a heartbeat. He has a dairy allergy, and we were treated amazingly by Anoushka, Sophie and Gigi, who went completely out of their way to accommodate him without me even needing to ask, which is so unusual and made him feel so special and welcomed. The room was lovely, the bed amazing and comfy. Location is great even for the maze that is Brindleyplace. A great stay for Sea Life Birmingham and the Lego discovery centre. Please pass on my thanks to the people mentioned above, they really made the stay memorable for my son, and deserve so much praise.

All good - as expected for a Hilton. Only feedback i would give is that more staff needed to cover breakfast. Guests had to wait to be seated, tables not cleared, no cups, no teabags waiting for hot food that had run out. It was chaotic!

Quite a long queue at check in, but pleasant staff Lovely room, very clean and comfortable Well equipped Not too keen on the pillow though! One not high enough 2 too high! I booked for me and 16 colleagues to stay at the hotel, choosing the pay at hotel option with Hotels.com. By midday on the day of check-in the hotels had taken 16 separate payments from my credit card. Hotels.com took no responsibility for this and passed the blame onto the hotel. The hotel weren't in the slightest bit apologetic and stated that it was their policy to do this and it would be refunded in 24/48 hours. It would appear "Pay at Hotel" is not a literal term. Hotels.com whilst willing to engage via live chat on the topic offered me no satisfactory resolution and could not provide me with the T&C's where i had supposedly agreed to this. I will be reviewing my legal options for recourse.

Perfect location to access Brindley Place, Mailbox and the City Centre, car parking really handy at the q park nextdoor. The bar staff over our two day stay were excellent, very attentive and great service even whilst busy, a real credit to the venuw

Perfect hotel if you are attending a concert at the Utilita Arena...literally a 5 mins walk. Really convenient bars and restaurants also a 5 mins walk away. If you fancy a stroll into town it takes 25 mins max. Perfect!! With parking available under the hotel it really is a totally stress free option.

Stayed 1 night to watch a show in the utilita arena. It’s a 5 minute walk to the arena, very easy to walk to & plenty of parking right next door to hotel. Definitely stay again, loads of restaurants & bars in the area too all walkable

Great stay in great location, easy walking distance to city centre, with loads of bars and restaurants on your doorstep! Hotel was great, staff were very polite and helpful and breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice! Car park discount given with booking and safe secure car park next to hotel. Will definitely stay here again

Brilliant easy check-in, my wife and I arrived a little before three o clock but very helpful receptionist allocated us a room early. Room was fab, really simple perfect shower. Highly recommend breakfast! Buffet - but all fresh, all hot and a freshly cooked egg station fried, poached & omelettes! Brill!

The food delivered to my room , was under cooked as in club sandwich . The onion rings over cooked . The work that was going on near my room made it impossinle to sleep and work . The curtain in 711 wouldn't close all way and let in the light. There was music playing loud at one point. I had traveled 4 hours to get to the hotel and i lt was of a poor standrad for Hilton .

Hotel was very nice comfortable and clean great location near to Utilita arena and sea life centre. The only main issue was the totally exorbitant price of food and drinks and absolute rip off £27 for one glass of wine and one whisky????? Are these prices picked out of the air because I can buy a bottle of whisky and a reasonable bottle wine for that price. Bring your own refreshments that’s all I can say. Unless you’re happy with being ripped off

The Hilton is not quite as nice as the Hampton by Hilton on broad st. The breakfast was very poor. Mainly for Americans with sliced potatoes and not a great choice. Would have thought this would have been better than its cheaper sister.

The room was lovely and the receptionist at check in was wonderful. The whole experience was let down by a member of staff in the restaurant at breakfast, I was looking to grab what I thought was a boiled egg ( not realising it was the egg station as there was no signage). The waiter must have assumed I was going to try and cook myself an egg and aggressively asked me ‘what I was doing’ and very directly informed me that it wasn’t an area for people to help themselves. I felt very very uncomfortable and embarrassed as I was dining alone. The gentleman was clearly stressed and overworked but no excuse to make me feel completely humiliated in front of other diners. Could have been done with a bit more discretion so I wasn’t left feeling like a naughty child.

Great location for the utilita arena, easy check in and great rooms. Breakfast poor again lack of staff replenishing items, tables not cleaned quickly enough ended up sitting up the bar.
