Firstly we thought paying for parking was unnecessary especially as the car park was never full during our stay, £10 a night is far too much. Our room was ok and clean but very small and the decor was tired, didn’t follow the modern feel you got when entering the hotel. Our first morning at breakfast the coffee machine was broken, we later saw there was another machine in the bar so the staff could have used this. Day 2 the machine worked but there was no bread for toast or beans, my husband had nearly finished breakfast before the beans were brought out. I had the avocado on toast which was lovely. We enjoyed using the spa facilities, nice pool, the spa pool was disappointing as no pressure from the jets, staff were friendly and helpful, my husband had a massage which he was very happy with. We liked the fact that the hotel communicated using WhatsApp, great service from housekeeping. Overall we enjoyed our short break, just a few things that need some attention

Loved this hotel! Great location, lovely garden. The breakfast was fantastic and the spa was very good! Particularly loved the Whatsapp service where you could contact the property to ask questions and make bookings, reply was always prompt and helpful. Liked our balcony too- just could have been cleaned a little more- very cobwebby and some Prosecco bottles left outside.

We have visited this hotel a few times as we love the spa and bar. The staff are polite and the hotel is clean and worthy of its 4 star. They have a great range of gins and lunch was delicious. However… The bathroom in our standard room was tiny!!! It was like an aeroplane toilet and the shower tray was slippy and so small that you couldn’t even step back to wash your hair. I wouldn’t recommend room 34. The spa no longer has loungers which is a big shame as I love relaxing on them and they now have chairs. I don’t think this was a good upgrade. I had a massage which was excellent! It was expensive but worth it and I believe her name was Keesha. We will be back but in a different room for sure!

Very disappointed in this hotel. Not great service at reception, not particularly pleasant. Room very dated, pool not in great condition and a very dated and dirty gym.£10 to park in the hotel car park. Swim times restricted for kids but have to click through 3 pages on their website to see this.

Welcome water nice. Check in efficient and friendly once several others dealt with. Night porter helpful. Room was spacious but stuffy and air con didn’t work/ no instructions. Didn’t have time to sort it. Bathroom tiny and a large person would have trouble with toilet and shower. Mainly clean but leisure facilities a bit tired.

Great location for minutes walk to the beach and shops/restaurants albeit all accessible down steep hills not a problem for us Down the bottom of west hill road at the sea front is a funicular We stayed in room 7 a standard double Small but suitable for us and equipped for out 1 night stay The pool jacuzzi sauna steam room were an added treat Will be back

Looks lovely from the outside, but very dated. We were overlooking the courtyard, when there was a wedding at the hotel… very noisy until late into the night. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna were very basic and could do with an update. Plus side, great location.

Alot of the hotel was tired and dated. The bed room appeared to be clean but, then noticed dust on the mirror and dressing table. There was abit of limescale in the kettle, no tray incase of spills while tea making. The matress sagged in the middle and was flat, pillows were similar. The bathroom had peeling paint on a unit next to the toilet. There was congealed soap stain on the base of the dispenser. Bath was fitted with a shower curtain. We had the worst nights sleep as kept being disturbed by a frequent noise. Couldn't make out what it was and where coming from, sounded machine pump of sorts but, it continued all night. When we returned to the hotel after a show the bar was closed and it was only around 10:30 pm! Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We only stayed one night so didnt complain but made them aware on check out.

Hotel was really good for the price I paid, the room was very clean, bedding and towels spotless, staff were very friendly and it was in a good location. I would stay here again for sure. Only slight negative, the shower was a little disappointing but not enough to stop me coming back.

A nice hotel that is looking tired. Our room was rather dusty with cobwebs on the balcony. It feels like no investment has been made in this hotel in a long time, which is a shame. Great location though and nice spa. Lovely breakfast and the staff at breakfast were great.

The hotel was dated, the room was nice and spacious with dust everywhere.First day we opened the bed and found hair and a butterfly in the bed that was made up, this was really off putting.The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.There is no refrigerator in the room which I thought it was standard for the price of the room, but the website does not state that there would be a refrigerator in the room, which is fair.Breakfast was a standard buffet with English breakfast and continental dry breakfast.There was no pancakes and if you require fancy, eggs Benedict, its £5.The garden is beautiful and the spa and pool is inviting but the hotel lacks atmosphere and needs updating.For the price, I could have stayed somewhere else in Bournemouth with a better experience.I would recommend The Marriot hotel or Hermitage hotel.

Hotel was conveniently located and a good standard of cleanliness. Room was small but comfortable. Service from the operations manager was exceptional - very friendly and attentive, thank you. My only gripe would be with the cost of parking as we booked through an operator. A further £24 to park for two days is a bit steep considering the cost of the room and other services.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We could not fault them, lovely people. Breakfast was good but room awful. Nothing in shower gel dispenser, water pressure in basin non existent, light bulb gone, controls to alter shower head ceased up and not moveable, chair under desk covered in other peoples hair and door handle to balcony door coming to pieces.. Car parking on first come first served basis, which was not in original advertisment. Obviously no management checks.

The hotel looks good from the outside, and the public areas like bar and restaurant were modern and welcoming. However, that’s about where it ends, the room was a little dated, hallways scruffy and the pool and spa is need for modernisation. The steam room has a smell and is dark and dingy, the sauna is unloved. Overall I felt the hotel wasn’t overly clean, a lot of dust in areas and a general sense of lack of care. The food in restaurant however, was very good and presented well. The menu was interesting and featured nice options. At the price I paid, I wouldn’t stay again, it would need to be cheaper. £122 for a superior room where the toilet fan was noisy and the floor creaked, the bed hard and the bathroom shower with black marks, is a little overpriced. There are other options in the town at a similar price for better quality.

Staff were friendly and our executive room was spacious. Management communication with guests was via WhatsApp and was timely. A wifi issue was sorted appropriately. The spa area is a bit dated. There isn't much room for chairs so perhaps the large chairs should be replaced with smaller ones to accommodate more guests. Conveniently located for walking into town, to beaches, etc. We would stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and found the communal areas — reception, bar, and dining room — to be pleasant and well-presented. However, our experience with the room was disappointing. We booked a double room, which was very small and in need of an update. While the curtains, carpet, wallpaper, and general cleanliness were good, the furniture was overly large for the space and looked dated. The bathroom was especially tired, with a very weak shower over a high-sided bath. The bath was slippery to stand in, and the rounded base made it difficult to balance. The bathroom floor was damaged and became slippery when wet, making it hazardous. It would be very difficult for anyone with limited mobility to shower safely. There was also a persistent mechanical noise in the room — a loud sound every four minutes, like a coffee machine. We initially thought it was the air conditioning, but it continued even when the unit was off, making it hard to sleep. Floorboards in our room and above were also extremely squeaky, adding further disturbance. Breakfast, at £17.50 per person, was poor value. There was no fruit salad or crusty bread, and the hot buffet kept running out. One guest had to wait over 30 minutes for scrambled eggs to be replenished. Overall, we felt the room was overpriced given the quality and condition. The noise issues, tired bathroom, and underwhelming breakfast left us disappointed, and we honestly wish we had chosen somewhere else to stay.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the hotel reception/ bar areas are lovely and well presented. The hotel has a small car park that they charge £8 for which was not made clear on here. We booked an executive room which was spacious but dated. We were expecting a free standing bath and waterfall shower... this was not the case. The bathroom had paint chipped everywhere and a very old bath/shower. The bed was comfortable and I really liked the coffee maker. The hotel pool was lovely, as were the changing rooms. The gym was dark and had leak marks and mould on the ceiling. It was small and cramped, which was a shame. Overall I was really disappointed in this hotel which advertised itself so well.

We stayed in room 16 the window was broken so couldn’t shut it properly and right outside the window was a huge vent from the kitchen which was vibrating from late at night until early morning hence lack of sleep

Liked way our issues were listened too and compensated in the end . Did not receive notification about no room service and a large party ( they did show mail but I did not receive it) so no meal that evening Humming nose room19 all-night ( air conditioner unit outside) No soap in shower Had to check we had booked breakfast (?no record) when we knew we had . No decaf coffee machine or sachets at breakfast , kind staff made us 2 coffees Staff did listen and helped

Slightly outside of town so limited selection of restaurants and cafes locally (recommend Goat & Tricycle pub down the road), but most of what you want is within 10 minutes' walk. Breakfast is fairly expensive for a standard hotel buffet. Okay if staying for a night or two, but would suggest skipping the buffet and going to a local cafe if staying longer. Much better food (and better value!).

When I arrived the hotel at 11:00 Pm, Nobody was at reception, necessary to call him from the telephone of reception to come in front desk, when he came was so sad and spoke loudly with no polite shouting front of my face and he looks so sleepy. That was so terrible and i never see employee like him he was Disrespectful and inappropriate for this place. Described the man he was bold and fat, white, didn’t wear the tag name. Never try to go to this hotel without any respect of tourists. I recommend to not try to visit this hotel as well.

The breakfast was varied and fresh. The staff were excellent, Yuko on reception and Tom who looked after us with afternoon tea, where both exceptional and a credit to the hotel, both were very professional and polite. The afternoon tea was superb, and the bar lounge area was very comfortable in front of an open fire Parking felt safe, we had a Horsebox which was cater for.

Very disappointed with the room and bathroom not like the pictures advertised, poor quality for a superior room. Also a loud noise coming through what i assume was through the aircon kept waking me up even though it wasn’t turned on. Very disappointing breakfast, I asked the lady who was serving the hot breakfast if they had a vegetarian option and she said she didn’t know and told me to go and ask the Manager. So I ended up paying the extra price of breakfast just to eat a croissant.

Property was classed as 4 star but was dated and the standard was nowhere near what the photos looked like. Floorboards creaked. Rooms had a musty smell and the air conditioning unit kept making noises even when switched off! Walls were very thin and we could hear the TV next door. Breakfast was adequate. Spa was good and had a large pool. Location was good but area a bit dodgy at night. We could access the beach via a walkway down the cliff. It was fine for a wheelchair getting down but getting back up to the hotel was a problem. The area is a bit hilly so would recommend staying elsewhere if you need to use a wheelchair. The accessible room was ok but located on the third floor. Staff were helpful Overall would class the hotel as a 3 star

Very convenient for beaches, short walk to town centre and onsite parking is good value. Room just okay for an executive room and overall everything is a little dated. Some noise in the eve (nearby club) but does stop before midnight.

This is a nice hotel, the staff were really nice and accommodating. The property is a little dated though and corridor carpets could do with an upgrade. The Spa area I understand is being refurbished soon too, so that's good. I would stay here again.
