For the price, this hotel was very disappointing. The advertises a top-rated breakfast, but in our experience it wasn’t even worth €5. The scrambled eggs were contaminated with pork juices because the same serving spoon was used for both the eggs and the bacon. In a country like Belgium, where halal options are widely available, I expected better attention to avoiding cross-contamination. The amenities were poor. There was no YouTube or Netflix on the TV, and when I mentioned it at reception, the staff member simply shrugged and said he couldn’t leave the desk to help. The air conditioning only worked at certain times, which was very odd. We stayed as a family of three with a toddler. Despite requesting extra towels on the first day, we kept having to ask. We had also booked a twin room with a sofa bed, but were moved at the last minute to a room with only one double bed, so all three of us had to share. The balcony was filthy and had loose, dangling cables, making it unsafe to use. Overall, the hotel was overpriced and poor value for money. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for families with young children.

Although I have already paid for the hotel accommodation, a further €200 remains reserved/held on my bank account. This is unacceptable given that the accommodation charge has already been settled. Please arrange for this hold to be released immediately and confirm in writing when this has been actioned. In addition, the room allocated to me was beside the lift shaft. Throughout the night I could clearly hear the lift operating every time it was used, including a loud squeaking/mechanical noise. This materially affected my ability to sleep and fell well below the standard reasonably expected from a hotel stay. The disruption continued the following morning, when power tools were being used from approximately 7:00 a.m. This compounded the issue and meant the stay was not restful or fit for purpose. Taken together, the experience was poor: I paid for accommodation but was placed in a room exposed to persistent mechanical noise overnight and then disturbed by works early in the morning, while a further €200 remains unnecessarily reserved on my account.
