The best thing about the hotel is the location. It’s very central and everything is in walking distance. The room was fine, but a little clinical and lacked character, and there was zero tea/coffee facilities or even water in the room. They claim that it’s for the environment, but the reality is so they can sell it to you in the small shop downstairs. Ironically, they didn’t even have any still water there in the shop’s fridge when I went to get some! The bed was comfy, and the room was quite quiet and the AC worked well. The shower pressure was good, which was nice as it can often be hit and miss in hotels. I can’t comment on the breakfast, though it did look nice, as did the bar. The parking spaces were quite tight (as was the entrance to get in) and very limited. In addition the elevators were like something from the 50s, and in fact when we called one of them it came up to our floor, the doors half opened, and then it just got stuck there. So maybe request a ground floor room! :)

Check in is slow and you can’t do it early. The pillows are extremely small. The elevator broke we had to take the stairs multiple times, they lost hot our last day in the morning and the breakfast is very average. Only positives is it’s clean and very close to the Christmas markets

Perfect hotel if you are traveling with a car. The hotel is in the heart of all the action and has easy underground parking.

The location to the main area of Brugge couldn't be bettered. Lots going on around but the bar doesn't open on Sunday and Monday and there is no restaurant on site.

The location is perfect, right behind the main market square and the Christmas markets. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy although the room could get quite hot at night. The bar in the hotel was really nice to sit in the evenings. There’s a Starbucks coffee machine and a small tuck shop. I’d definitely stay here again for a comfortable, convenient stay in Bruges.

A very central and convenient modern hotel with underground car park. Publicity should draw attention to need to register vehicle at the reception desk on arrival to avoid local fines for daytime driving in town centre. No restaurant, but a comprehensive buffet breakfast at 20 euros is cheaper and better value than local cafes, bistros, etc.

I had to change the room three times because of the ac that not working ! Another room the window was so small I felt like I can’t stay in the room ! The third one was on with high ceiling but the AC was super noisy though it was operational They need to work on their maintenance department

Excellent location that is close to everything including the Christmas markets and walking Christmas light trail. The hotel was very nice and quiet with excellent amenities. The parking garage was great and fit a Jeep Cherokee with no issues. Highly recommend

Wonderful location, great breakfast, nice/clean room.

When we checked in the Hotel Reception placed us in Room 722 which i had to ask to be moved due to the Smell of Damp. I was then offered a further room which was disgusting and smelt extremely badly of a Drain Issue. The Reception said it was a Brugge! thing which i wasn't very happy with and they decided to move me to room 824. The Room 824 was a lot better and i had to subsequently ask for my Son and his Girlfriend to also be moved due to Dampness. The Standard in the Hotel was very disappointing and caused me a lot of stress on the day we arrived when we were due to be going out. I feel quite aggrieved with the Hotel as the Rooms shown on their Website are clearly not the Rooms they tried to place us in when we first arrived and they were trying to fob me off with poor quality accommodation.

Hotel tre stelle senza grosse pretese, ma con un grande punto di forza: la posizione centralissima, perfetta per visitare Bruges a piedi. La colazione è buona, anche se il buffet non offre una vastissima scelta. La camera è pulita, anche se si notano piccoli dettagli da migliorare (qualche capello o schizzo sulle porte). Il letto è abbastanza comodo e garantisce un buon riposo dopo una giornata di visita in città. Nel complesso, una scelta pratica e funzionale per chi cerca un alloggio semplice ma ben posizionato.

My room was not easily accessible by elevators alone and had small flights of stairs to navigate. The room was overall clean, but my bed linen had dried on filth. The staff replaced it. The room is not very soundproof. I could conversations from adjacent rooms and noise from the street. In the evenings there was often a stench in the hallways.

TV and mirror should be swapped around. Drainage in shower needed resolving. All in all great value.

The hotel was very clean and stylish. The staff were very polite. The breakfast was very good. A couple of things for the hotel to consider: The pillows were really uncomfortable. The room was also very hot and the only way to make it cooler was opening the window or turning on the Aircon. The hotel prides itself of its eco friendlyness but this felt like a waste of energy.

Best hotel in Bruges. Walking distance to everything and you can hear the bells from the nearby tower in your room which adds a nice touch. Clean, easy to park and just all round good.

The room was small but clean and adequate for the price. I did find it hot and it was October as the ventilation was poor. We opened the window once the evening noise settled down and that was fine.

Helt fantastisk placering og virkeligt dejligt hotel. Der var meget lydt - så man kunne høre alt fra gaden udenfor og naboerne. Men det er også det eneste man kan sætte en finger på. Personalet var meget venligt og servicemindet. Kan kun anbefales.

The carillon bells were also noisy, although pleasant. The breakfast was good, we had a pleasant drink in the bar and our room was cleaned daily. Only real negative is the lack of tea/ coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.

Room was spotless and soacious but very stark

A very nice hotel in the medieval part of Burges (wonderful!). Clean, modern with helpful staff. Our room was a bit tight - no drawers on the small night stands beside the bed was an annoyance. No room fridge (for green reasons) which would have been handy as my wife has dietary restrictions and uses them to store some food she can eat. 20 Euros each for good breakfast buffet was a bit steep. We should have gone to a bakery, waffle shop or street food restaurant for better value. There was plenty in the immediate area, so do a reconnaissance before dining in. In all, we would stay there again.

Immaculate room but a little small. No amenities (kettle particularly) in the room, and whilst bed very comfortable it was noisy when immediately next to the street Breakfast very nice, and staff were very friendly/helpful. Great base to explore the city

Lift was broken and had to lug our luggage up 4 flights up a medieval staircase. Staff could care less. Room was looking at the Church bell tower - which was nice - except when it goes off all day. Could barely stand up in the room near the bed because the ceiling slanted. Parking was 'full' - had to park over a half mile away - again - very unhelpful staff. Would never stay here again.

My key take always: Great location. Room security concerns. Poor customer service with evening staff. Overall decent accommodations, read reviews and know what you’re getting into. Full Review: This hotel is in a fantastic location, and Brugge itself was wonderful. The convenience of being able to stop into the hotel throughout the day really enhanced our trip. We had a romantic getaway and would highly recommend spending several days in Brugge. The mornings and evenings, when the crowds thin out, are magical. Getting up in the morning when things start to open to get coffees at izys and a waffle was an incredible start to the day. We’ll definitely be back to Brugge itself. At first, I thought we’d happily stay here again. I was ready to give Martin’s Brugge a rave review for its location alone, but unfortunately our experience with room security and customer service on the evening shift left a lasting negative impression. One evening, while we were in our room with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping scanned in unannounced around 6 p.m. (an odd time for cleaning). I was about to shower and my partner was napping. The deadbolt is the only lock, and it did not prevent entry since it was overridden by the housekeeping card. There is no latch bar, peep hole, or other safety features. We had to rush to stop housekeeping in the doorway. We were really alarmed that someone could so easily enter our room. Room was fine. On checking the young lady .. long blond hair. Was not interested in checking us in … I like to see people happy but laughing with a co worker when customers are waiting is very poor behaviour .. there was even a lady behind us also waiting to check in Other check in staff were all courteous and helpful

Location and rooms were very, very good - highly recommend this hotel. We needed two rooms but only one was ready on arrival at 3.00 and my room wasn’t ready until 5. A bit annoying. Only real negative though was the two young girls on reception who just chatted to one another and made no effort to engage with us as one of them checked us in. Said she had allocated us rooms next to each other but when I checked in at 5 our rooms were on different floors. Not a huge problem but more their attitude that was below standard. I must say during our stay we had wonderful service from other staff on reception. It is a great hotel very central in the old town.

The Martin’s is a great hotel; very friendly and helpful staff and so close to the main square of Bruges.

Unhelpful staff at reception on arrival. Lift was not working but no warning or help provided. Signage to rooms very poor and misleading. Room cold on arrival and heating control info not helpful.Noisy ventilator provided heat, but in order to be able to sleep it was turned off , and the room cold as a result. Wall TV badly positioned so it caught your shoulder on leaving the bathroom. Hotel bar not open on Sunday. Good location however!

Centralt läge, men väldigt svårt att ta sig dit med bil. Vi fick parkera 10min bort och bära väskorna. Många trappor på hotellet, hissen fungerade inte just då. Rummet hade ett väldigt litet fönster.

We were very lucky and had an A frame room. It felt like a little cottage. Location was fantastic, right next to the Belfort tower, in the centre of Bruges.

The Location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing, dining and shopping as it is approx 200m from the city's beautiful main square. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious. Breakfast wasn't cheap but of excellent quality and plentiful. Really friendly and helpful staff on Reception. The only problem we faced was actually getting to the hotel by car in the first place. Brugges doesn't really welcome cars and there are many 'no go' areas at certain times. You will need to register your vehicle to avoid a fine. The one thing that we didn't have, but would have liked, was a kettle in the room to enable us to make a hot drink at any time of day but there is a chargeable drinks machine (and small snack shop) in Reception. All in all, a fabulous place to stay.

Excellent central location & short walking distance to attractions, shopping & restaurants. The hotel & room were both clean and smelled fresh. The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable; happily assisted with scheduling taxi transportation to the train station. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend selecting the breakfast option. Items were fresh & there was an abundance of options. There is also a self-check/pay area for snacks & beverages in the lobby area. Would definitely stay here again!

Eigentlich ein tolles Hotel, aber das Frühstück war eine Zumutung. Eine Leistungsschau der Lebensmittelchemie. Ich glaube selbst das Rührei hat niemals ein Huhn gesehen.
