A clean modern hotel in the city center. The breakfast is amazing, full spread continental with quality produce. Something for everyone. It's the place to stay in the Venice of the North (Brygge/Brugge). Beds are comfy. Parking under hotel. Improvements are on the tech level. The Tvs should allow for hdmi and streaming services as you might want to flick something or watch photos at the end of the day.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel right in the heart of Brugge. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the clean, modern design and the warm welcome from the staff. The location is absolutely ideal—situated in the city centre, it’s perfect for exploring the sights, yet the rooms remain peaceful and quiet despite the bustle outside. One of the standout features was the secure on-site parking, which made arriving by car stress-free. The room itself was large and spacious, with thoughtful amenities including a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The en suite bathroom was equally impressive—well-equipped and spotless, making for a very comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. There was an excellent range of choices available, catering to all tastes, and everything was fresh and well-presented. The downstairs bar was also a great touch, offering a wide selection of drinks at very reasonable prices—especially considering the hotel’s central location. There were just a couple of minor drawbacks during our stay. While the hotel advertises a gym, it’s not available for use until 8:30am, which might be inconvenient for early risers looking to work out before starting their day. Additionally, the mattress in our room felt a little saggy and could probably do with being replaced soon for improved comfort. Right in the city center with a lot of restaurants in walking distance. Room was suprisingly spacious. Breakfast with a lot of options. Parking garage is small and the parking spaces also very small. Hardly enough space if you drive one of the newer larger electric vehicles. Note that you will to reserve and pay for it.

Excellent stay... only had one night and wish I had more. Excellent breakfast, nice location next to Love Lake, close to the center, small but decent gym, nice staff, and very clean room. You're also greeted with free water and a chocolate biscuit in the room.

The hotel it self is really beautiful, they have put a lot of effort into it. The room was just like a premier inn. The bed was superb, extremely comfortable. The shower space was small, kinda had to stand in the open (away from the wall) to fit which made the floor get very wet. Breakfast was very nice, however there are a lot… and I mean a lot, of fruit flies flying and landing on all the uncovered food. Parking is EXTREMELY TIGHT. I drove an MG HS 2023 in there, and got it to the back of the parking garage. It was a very tight fit with a few 10-15 point turns just to get around the pillars which divide all the parking spaces.

We stayed in a three bed room which was clean, spacious and well equipped with toiletries. The decor was fresh, the staff welcoming and all within an easy walk of the station. The bar was slightly limited with offerings but the hot drinks were presented nicely and made for a nice treat at the end of the day. Would highly recommend

Room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated with a view of the courtyard. The bar and other general areas including the courtyard were lovely and relaxing. There was on site parking which was excellent but I would book that ahead to make sure you get a space. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is in a quiet area and really stylish, the room was spotless, the breakfast was abundant and the bed super comfortable. Cracking hotel!!

Room cleanliness left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Our sheets smelled damp, to the point where I had to put my pillow inside a tshirt because it was so pungent. There were stains on the bed sheet, the wallpaper was peeling off and our bin was full to bursting with the previous guest's rubbish. Reported it to reception the next day (we arrived late) and the sheets were changed... which also smelled awful, and were also stained. Mentioned it again, and they were changed again... smelled even worse. The bed felt dirty and you could smell it when walking into our room. Went to our car in the hotel carpark on day two and realised that the big trolleys they have down there are where they keep all their bed linen. They were uncovered, next to exhaust fumes in a dark and damp carpark. So if anyone is sensitive to damp or sensitive to this idea, please be aware of it. You can only get breakfast from this hotel. No room service, either. The outdoor area and lobby was lovely. The location couldn't be any better. It's more like a three-star than a four-star, to be honest.

Beautiful lobby and bar area. Reception staff were ok. The rooms probably need a bit of maintenance. Some dark spots on bathroom walls looks quite unsightly. Pillows were a bit lumpy. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Lovely setting, relatively close to the railway, quiet, cobbled street and close to many places of interest. Nice room, bed, amenities and breakfast. Daily drinking water was appreciated. Only grumble was a bit of mould in the bathroom - likely from a faulty extractor fan. Easily fixed. Will likely return

The hotel is very pleasantly decorated, clean in appearance and the staff personable. Breakfast was a lavish spread, well made and very good. The water pressure was good in the shower as well, with towel heaters functional and very comfortable beds. On the downside, the entire hotel periodically smelled strongly of sewage, which seemed to seep from the halls into the rooms themselves. With the exception of the smell, I'd stay here again.

Fabulous location, a short walk to train through quiet streets. Extremely close to a few great restaurants and a few blocks to a laundromat. Best breakfast bar of 30 day trip around Europe. Wonderfully large bathrooms, but with a whiff of sewage most days if door not left shut. Apparently the shower drain may not be placed well after cleaning??? that was explanation. Room overlooking the small street was quiet at night.

Not their fault that we arrived for the hottest nights of the year, but they didn't admit our room had no AC, then apologized on the second night but couldn't repair. We had to sleep all night with the windows open, with 2 major drawbacks: Street Noise (Belgians party all night on Friday and Saturday night) and worst of all, Mosquitos. I got bit at least 10 times over 2 nights.

Our stay at the hotel had several highlights, but also some important drawbacks. Before arrival, I requested garage parking several days in advance, as it was essential due to my husband’s illness and the main reason we chose this hotel. We wanted to avoid dragging our suitcases through the city. Unfortunately, the request was not granted, and we were only informed upon arrival. There was no prior communication by email, which was disappointing. The hotel itself is lovely, and the room was clean and nicely presented. However, having paid over €40 extra for a higher-category room, it felt rather basic, quite small, and comparable to standard rooms elsewhere. It did not fully meet expectations for an upgrade. A major issue was the temperature in the room. It was extremely hot upon arrival, and despite lowering the heating, it remained uncomfortable throughout the night, resulting in poor sleep. Each time we returned, the air felt heavy. Due to my husband’s condition, opening the windows was not an option. On the positive side, the location is perfect, the staff were friendly and professional, the breakfast was excellent, and the complimentary welcome sweets were a thoughtful touch.

Breakfast was wonderful. The room was good, but noisy, as walls are thin and you can hear everyone nearby talking and doors slamming. Staff assistance was excellent.

Location is fantastic, with a secure parking. Very friendly atmosphere, and comfortable room. But the building is a bit tired, so it was also quit noisy and difficult to control temperature. Wifi not great either. Reasonable value for money, but needs updating.

Overall, a really enjoyable stay. The breakfast was nice and the location was really good. Room was clean and refreahed daily. A few areas of particular annoyance: there is little soundproofing between rooms so we were regularly woke up via talking, television and snoring in adjoining rooms. There is a light sensor in the bathroom, but due to its location, it didnt know if anyone was on the toilet and kept turning off. The only way to get the light on again was to get up and walk around after 2 minutes. This was extremely poor and annoying. I didn't expect to need my phone for light when using the toilet in a four star hotel.

Very smart hotel, with a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The only slight criticism of the room was dust on the mirror and the LED lights switches are so bright, it makes it difficult to sleep due to the light they emit. Fantastic breakfast. The underground car park was a bonus.

The hotel was very well located and within walking distance of all key sites. Staff were friendly and the hotel is in good condition. However rooms were very hot even though we could open the windows. Air circulation and air conditioning needs fixing.

The hotel itself is really nice,good size bedroom and good breakfast and location. However, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed - could hear talking,curtains being closed,shower etc Also shower was in a very unusual place over the bath

Amazing staff and service, They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The personalized touch is second to none and I only have positive things to say about this establishment, I would definitely recommend this place to others, and especially to friends and family. Loved this place and would definitely stay again, hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for making Brugge a wonderful experience. We loved it! Thank you so much!

Very clean centrally located hotel with great rooms and friendly staff.

Excellent, friendly staff welcomed us with a speedy check-in process. They answered all questions as well as made serval recommendations for restaurants and tours. Our room was very clean and updated. Will gladly recommend Dukes’ Academie to other vacationers.

Não tivemos uma boa experiência com o Staff, tanto antes como durante a estadia. Vale destacar que as informações do Trip sobre o hotel omitem uma informação importante, a saber, há estacionamento, mas este possui poucas vagas, e nenhum lugar informa isso no Trip. Pior, eu reservei e enviei mensagem apontando que iria de carro, mas ainda assim, ao chegar, fui surpreendido com o fato das “vagas limitadas” não reservadas. Isso criou um imenso aborrecimento e transtornos na busca de um estacionamento privativo fora do hotel e tomou muito tempo nosso. Além disso, as outras 3 vezes que fomos até o Staff solicitando reservas de restaurante ou outro pedido, apesar de haver um sorriso no rosto, não havia, de fato, uma verdadeira intenção de ajudar. O principal aspecto positivo do hotel é o conforto do quarto e o seu tamanho. Além disso, o café da manhã é excelente. O prédio também é moderno e bonito. Em relação a localização, há também um fato distorcido no anúncio e nas avaliações, pois as principais atrações ficam no mínimo a 10 minutos a pé e as principais a 15 minutos. Então, não entendi a nota de localização tão alta. Essa mesma rede (Dukes) possui outro hotel que está, de fato, ao lado da praça central, aquele sim possui uma localização perfeita.

Staff were excellent, hotel was in a great location and room was very well presented. Everything you need for a break in Brugge.

We have stayed at Dukes Academie before and it has always been excellent; this time was no exception. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very good and the breakfast superb. It is in an ideal location- near enough to the centre to walk there easily, but far enough away to be quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby and there is so much to see & do.

Most of the staff was excellent. We had to catch a morning taxi to Brussels and wasn’t sure if it had been arranged the night before. The lady working the front desk at 6:00 couldn’t have been more rude to us, said she had no “notes” on our reservation and didn’t seem to care if we made our flight or not. Management has made the right decision to put her at the desk overnight when least interaction with guests is possible.

Awesome support, centrally located, service was provided on directions needed, breakfast was a very great surprise! Plentiful and savory!

Great 4 star hotel in a lovely quiet street, walkable to train station & all of Bruges main sites. Very decent buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Excellent and good value hotel in the heart of Brugge

We thought that the location of the hotel meant that we were just a few minutes away from the centre of Bruges, we benefited from a quiet location. The welcome was great, the breakfasts superb and our lovely room had everything that we needed.

Great area to be in. Not a bad walk from train station. Close to all tourist sites and walking paths. Lots of restaurants nearby, plus a pharmacy and near a grocery store.

Very quiet hotel, walking distance to the main square. In about 10 minute walk to the train station.
