The Novotel exceeded our expectations. Everything seemed very high-quality and high class, and we were treated with the upmost of respect. It was very easy to get to with the free airport shuttle bus Or an overhead skytrain. The included breakfast is absolutely incredible, I would go there simply for the breakfast! They also have 2 Awesome swimming pools And very friendly staff. We were even invited to return at the end of our Egypt trip to spend a few hours there on the way back to the airport if we needed to. Highly recommended if you want a hustle and hassle free way to start and or end your trip, Because believe me, you’ll need it.

I called the day before my check in go confirm if they have a shuttle. I was told yes, and to call when I arrive to book a pickup. I called when I arrived and was told the shuttle was coming and they were told what I was wearing. The shuttle arrived 30 minutes later and drove right by me. I called and was assured they would be there in 5 minutes. 30 minutes went by and nobody came. I had to take an Uber, and ended up waiting 1 hour at the airport, and the hotel is 5 minutes from the airport. I arrived after 10pm and wasn’t able to use the gym because it was closed. It didn’t open up again until 8:30 and I needed to be at the airport for 7AM. What use is a gym at an airport hotel if they are closed from 10pm to 8:30am. The front desk staff gave me a voucher for a drink to say sorry. The room was really clean and the air conditioning was great. If you need a bed and that’s it, this place is fine. Anything beyond that, I would pass.

I love the fact that it’s close to the airport.. there’s a shuttle that dropped me off the airport.. I took the taxi to go over which wasn’t that bad . The facility is very clean and very lively.. 2 pools and 3 restaurants and a cafe inside the hotel. Love it

When one takes shower the water comes out forms big puddles over the years it has damages the door and frame, the management should address it. The gym is so old and opens at 10 am! The shuttle will stop very far from the door u will be dragging your luggage through rough road after you do all the work the staff smartly shows up to help!

This is a large airport hotel with all the facilities one could hope for. The lobby was busy at all times but there was always someone around to answer questions. There are several restaurants adjacent to the lobby and 2 outdoor pools. Our room was typical with 2 twin beds even though we were told we would have one larger bed. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size. The holel offered a free shuttle service to/from the airport.

A nice hotel. We have not tried their food this time, but it was excellent in previous visits. The restaurant by the pool did not seem to have a specific well-defined schedule. Would be nice to improve on this one. Staff are generally friendly and professional.

The Mattress, blanket and pillows were old and smelly, covered with fresh sheets and cases, still the bad odour was coming through, And there was loads hair all over I only slept there for about 4 hours in the hotel room because I had another flight to catch and was hoping not to become sick It looked good in the pictures when I booked it online best to let people know that they get a smelly beds in a good looking hotel. I will rather sleep on a bench in the airport next time for 4 hours than paying for a smelly dirty hotel I do Not recommend this hotel even to my enemies.

The location is good, very close to the airport. Free shuttle to the airport. The rooms are very old and sofa in the room needs a revamp as it looks quite dirty. The beds and pillows are ok, not the most comfortable. The room is very tight. Its ok if you have one night for a limited hours before a flight but not for anything more than that. Whilst we were told the shuttle is 24 hrs we had to wait for a long time and make several visits to the front desk to ask where the shuttle was! Looks like they call the driver once people have come down for the shuttle!! So plan in advance and dont leave it to too late!

Long wait time to check in, staff not very proficient at multitasking. Hotel was very noisy I was on the second floor and could hear the party on the first floor, other tenants were very loud after midnight, did not get a good sleep. I booked a superior room with a double bed, I was given a room with 2 twin beds without informing me; I was told there is no rooms.

Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement , also WIFI is useless, you cannot do anything with it. Poor communication, sent multiple messages through expedia to the hotel and they never replied. Rooms are too small. Some of the staff are really rude specially at the restaurant. The only good thing about it is the airport shuttle.

Close to airport is positive. Property is dated and not looked after properly. Toilet papers holder is broken, so rolls left on the water tank. Securtity interior lock is not aligned properly. It appears the room was occupied by smokers earlier.

The property is next to the airport which makes it very convenient if you have a very early morning flight. The rooms were comfortable. I did not necessarily enjoy a carpeted room due to my allergies but was ok for 1 day. The building itself is a bit outdated.

Customer service from staff was very poor. Rude and unattentive to queries. Arrived well past check in time and was made to wait for a room for over 40 minutes. When finally allocated a room, was placed on the ground floor next to staff room with loud noises at early hours of the morning. Would definetly not recommend this hotel.

Reception doesn't like to pick up the phone. We called almost 50 times to get to the reception to ask about the shuttle service. Even after we got to the reception, we were told to call that same number when we arrive to get the shuttle to pick up. Little that we know that shuttle runs on schedule every 30 minutes. So when we arrived, we called about 20 times to get through the line only to be given wrong info again that we had to call 15 minutes ahead to get the shuttle. There should be a clear message on the website, or hotels.com, or any sites providing info about the shuttle schedule so people don't have to call the number that no on respond and have to pay for international call. The hotel receptionist should be trained to give us the right info instead of sending us in a loop. At the end we were scammed at the airport by some gov. official pretended to help us call the hotel driver and ask for tip, while the shuttle eventually showed up and the driver told us about the schedule. Otherwise, check in process was slow and inefficient. there were smokers in the lobby. Not a good experience for Novotel brand

Check-in took far too long as the receptionist (Mostafa) served other people at the same time as checking me in. I was given a room which was already occupied and when I open the door to the room at 01:00 the poor lady in the room must have been terrified. I was offered no apology when I returned to reception to request a new room. I had to ask for an apology which was not given with any sincerity. Room was 25.5°c when I finally got there. It took 30 mins for the aircon to cool it sufficiently for me to get to sleep. Not a good experience.

The staff was rude, and non communicative. They gave us a room key for a room that was occupied and we walked in on people, we felt horrible to intrude like that. The staff didn’t even acknowledge it when we came back to the front desk and let them know they gave us an occupied room. They just walked away and came back to type on their computer for 20mins with no updates. They offered a different room with too little beds for our group. After another while they gave us the proper room. The “non-smoking” floor corridor was filled with smoke and stank of cigarettes. This was only for a one night stay before a flight but I would not do it again.

Stayed for one night before a connecting flight back to the US and was pleasantly surprised by how nice and relaxed this hotel was. Had great amenities, options for dining, very close to the airport with a shuttle provided to and from. While it may not be the best to stay at if you want the action of the city, I would highly recommend it if you want to be close to the airport and want a quality stay for the price.

9.5/10. Was well taken care off during my short stay. I arrived at the hotel early hours of the morning and the staff were cheery and happy which I love to see. I requested a late checkout as I arrived later than expected and the wonderful man checking me in didn't bat an eye and said it's done. Amazing! Breakfast was amazing, a buffet with a wide range, there's something for everyone. The room is compact but has everything you'd need, modern in design. The grounds are lovely and large. The gym well equipped. The free shuttle was a great perk, leaving every 30mins and running 24hrs a day. The one negative I have is this; when I was at the airport it wasn't easy to find where the shuttle location was not was there a schedule as to when the shuttle departs. I tried to call the hotel for guidance but no-one picked up. Arriving at 04:00 and being met with unscrupulous taxi drivers who lied about the shuttle being closed and charging extortionate prices for a 5mins journey. Eventually found the shuttle location and arrived quickly at the hotel.

Clean modern airport hotel, with comfortable beds. It was badly let down however by 2 issues - the shuttle and the food. Shuttle - advertised as free 24 hour service. On arriving to Cairo however it is extremely difficult to actually use it. You have to ring the hotel reception and wait 30 minutes, which isn’t easy unless you have an Egyptian mobile. They ignored my messages sent in advance with our flight details, so we had a stressful wait in the blazing heat with our toddler. The Italian food (Primavera restaurant, beside the pool) - the pizzas had NO tomato on them so were basically cheesy bread with toppings, and the “tenderloin” beef was inedible. The “risotto” was just plain rice in a bowl served upside down. We tried to highlight this to staff but were ignored and had to pay the full amount.

Shower gel container was empty, towel shelf very high, if I was Anya hotter I couldn’t have gotten bath towel down, one short towel rod, had to hang on hanger to dry. Best hotel in Cairo! Nour at front desk was the sweetest, super nice, super helpful and made our experience even better. The personnel is very friendly in the restaurants, bar, and pool. Felt super safe! Enjoyed smoking a shisha in the pool and resting while we were off from touristy activities
