Beautiful hotel with great facilities- pool, range of restaurants, gym, hairdressers and spa. The breakfast was plentiful and all freshly prepared, definitely worth getting. Staff were very friendly and helpful, however service was breakfast slow and often staff forgot your requests. We travelled around Cairo using Ubers as the hotel services were far too expensive but I think that is to be expected with a 5* hotel. We felt very safe in the hotel, thorough checking of all guests into the hotel. However, there wasn’t a lot of shops/ restaurants in walking distance to the hotel, just a lovely park.

This is not worth staying in. They have 3 restaurants and they have the same menu at each location, the pool is the smallest I've ever experienced. It shouldn't be considered 5 star hotel, maybe 3!

Das Hotel ist schön und an einer besonderen Stell in Kairo platziert. Sehr zentral und dadurch mit kurzen Wegen zu den Museen. Leider ist der Poolbereich viel zu klein und voll mit größeren Männergruppen, die extrem viel Rauchen. So das es wirklich schwierig war für uns und unsere Tochter überhaupt eine Liege zu kriegen. Hier sollte das Hotel schauen, dass jeder mal die Möglichkeit hat den Pool zu genießen.

Very nice room with Nile view. Aircon was a bit temperamental and at night it was rather hot especially as there was quite a heavy duvet on the bed. Breakfast was good and the coffee very good! We ate at Kebabgy on two evenings and the food was interesting and very well cooked. We enjoyed it very much. Parts of the pool area do need attention. Around the edge is broken in places and could be dangerous. However, the temperature of the pool was perfect.

Very pretty place! Loved having a meal on the River Nile. Vibe is awesome. You can have drinks and hookahs till 2am and watch the boats float by. Fantastic service. The spa was amazing. We got massages and took advantage of the awesome sauna and steam room. They even have a casino onsite.

The hotel, the place and the view are amazing . The staff is very kind ans attentionned. Restaurants La Palmeraie and Kebabgy are delicious. The club millésime have also a very high level of service. The breakfast in le Sud was goergous. The Spa, the swimming pool and the fitness are fantastic.We had really a very good experience with a spécial touch with the concierge who helped us also to have very good time outside the hotel! We will definetively come again.

The grounds are beautiful, right on the NIle River. All the restaurants are very nice. Our room was very clean. Its an older but very clssy hotel. For the price we paid, about m280 per night I felt it was a good value. The staff was very friendly. The spa is very nice, dry sauna, steam and a large jacuzzi area looking out at the NIle that they only allow 4 people to use at a time. Gym area also very nice. Enjoyed the view of the Nile from our room.

Spa was great, massage exactly as I requested. I thought the pool was on the roof, so being right on the main wakway by the restaurants was a bit overwhelming and bot as relaxing as I would have liked. Also the staff was very pushy about making sure we gave them a good review.

Sofitel is amazing. I would go back for the view alone. It was breathtaking. But, the staff were also amazing, so friendly and helpful and always a cheerful smile. They make the stay perfect. My room on the 9th floor was fabulous. Spotlessly clean and a good size. The pillows must be the softest in the world. I had the best sleep ever. I loved looking out at the city and the Nile in the morning and at night. It was truly amazing. The food and service at Sofitel is second to none. And to dine right by the Nile, 👌. I didn't get to the spa this time round but there is so much on offer I will definitely be booking a few treatments on my next visit. I did spend a little time by the pool which was fabulous. My trip was short but I enjoyed every minute of it thanks to the team at the fabulous Sofitel. I will be back.

The hotel has a good location and great view to the Nile River, but the room smells and hotel smells like cigar even the towels in the bathroom. Good restaurants and the tour to the Nile in boat was great !

The grounds are beautiful, right on the NIle River. All the restaurants are very nice. Our room was very clean. Its an older but very clssy hotel. For the price we paid, about m280 per night I felt it was a good value. The staff was very friendly. The spa is very nice, dry sauna, steam and a large jacuzzi area looking out at the NIle that they only allow 4 people to use at a time. Gym area also very nice. Enjoyed the view of the Nile from our room.

Excellent location, nice and clean room. Only 1 issue: the electric outlet should be updated .me coming from the state finding hard time charging my phone. The staff at the club lounge were amazing, very professional, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Mrs abd el moneam and hana bishay’s dedication,knowledge,with a great care etc…. Room is very outdated. Furniture and carpet doesn’t match no headboard. Bathroom needs renovation.bathroom floor grout needs to be redone.very ordinary room not Sofitel standard. We have stayed in so many Sofitel in other countries this one is worst.

The rooms were clean but a little dated. The rest of the hotel is wonderful, particularly the complimentary breakfast. The staff are excellent as well. Highly professional. The location cannot be beaten. It’s just wonderful to sit with a drink or have breakfast next to the glittering Nile.

The lobby & grounds are very nice and well kept. Our room was on the 12th floor. There are probably 24 or more floors. The room was a very nice size but the carpets were really dirty. The shower/tub drain wasn’t working properly. The biggest issue was all the noise coming from parties or weddings, they go on until 2-3 am every night. So sleeping was an issue. I paid for a High Floor Premium Partial Nile room…. NO EXPEDIA VIP perks here. As I mentioned I was on the 12 floor with partial Nile view mainly facing a parking lot. Yet, I was told that was an upgrade 😆 So, if you’re looking for VIP perks, you won’t get them here. On the positive side, breakfast was awesome and staff extremely pleasant.

We had a great stay at the Sofitel. Friendly staff, nice rooms and a fantastic view over the River Nile and under the right weather conditions also the pyramids. With a room facing towards south we had direct Nile view all the way around us with a nice long distance to the busy streets of Cairo. The room was nice a cozy. Definitely not brand new, but clean and spacious. Only downside is the poor noice insulation of the balcony door. The party boats can be quite loud - so bring your earbuds! The fantastic view more than made up for that, and enjoying your morning coffee on the balcony is something different!

It’s a beautiful hotel inside and the outside areas, with an amazing location on the nile - and fantastic facilities. The real only (but major) downside was that there are some nightclubs very close and the room soundproofing is poor, with the level of music I didn’t get a good nights sleep either night (as they pump out loud dance music until 2am). Which is a real shame.

Comfy beds, great security, excellent view, friendly service. Only two caveats are the hair dryer in the room was super weak and many tour companies do not offer pick up from hotels on Gezira island for some reason. Fortunately we were able to call them and they did agree to come get us for our tours.

I had an amazing stay at the Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah. Our room was a nice size and we had a view of the Nile River. The staff was so gracious and courteous and made sure our stay was pleasant. I think I loved the staff the most but I would want to mention it was in a great location with easy walks to dining as well. I loved my stay so much I can’t wait to go back and when I go back to Cairo I am definitely staying at the Sofitel.

Schöne Lage mit Ausblick auf den Nil. Emfang und Mitarbeiter lief reibungslos und freundlich. Zustand des Zimmer etwas veraltet und renovierungsbedürftig. Service in den Restaurants und Bars war freundlich aber unprofessionell und langsam. Nach dem Abendessen bei Kababgy hat das Retaurtant um 0Uhr angerufen da die Rechnung nicht auf dem Zimmer gebucht werden konnte. Anscheinend wären die Mitarbeiter nicht an der Rezeption gewesen...Sie wollten unbedingt sofort bezahlt werden. Auswahl am Frühstück nicht 5-Sterne Wert. An der Bar später mussten wir ewig auf die Getränke warten und noch länger hat Rechnung gedauert. In summe würde ich sagen, gutes Hotel aber es gibt bessere

When critiquing a property I always put context first. Cairo is a large, bustling, in-your-face city. An assault on your senses in every way. So of course, keeping in mind that in mind when assessing the hotel. At the same time, when you deem yourself a 5 star hotel and charge prices higher than most hotels in Cairo, that comes with a set of expectations. And those were not met. The service has A LOT to learn. Bags were misplaced, orders and requests needed to be put in 4-5 times before they arrived, half the time the staff was somewhat nice (although incompetent) but there were more than a few occasions where they were flat out rude. Especially waiters. As a group of women at a table, we noticed groups of men getting much better, timelier and more attentive service. Female staffers were better. Male staffers, mostly rude. I would think twice before staying here again. Overall, I feel like the entirety of the staff needs to be retrained.

Hotel is nice but definitely outdated or difficult to navigate. Restaurants are nice and food was good but staff was average at best, at least our server was. You meed reservations for all the restaurants which is nice but can also be difficult. Room service staff was great!

Repeat visit and consistent high standards. Helpful staff. Great breakfast team, including Ahmed and Ramadan. Location on island has better air quality and less hectic, which for me is differentiation from other hotels in Cairo. Reception area is good for getting in/out car service.

Ahmed Rafat and Ihab really took care of me. They made sure all my concerns were addressed. They did an amazing job cleaning my room. A special thank you also goes out to Sandra at the Check in. She made sure my experience at the hotel was amazing. She provided me with great customer service and I truly appreciate all her efforts. The location of the hotel was also perfect. It is in the heart of downtown with easy access to different parts of the city. The views in the restaurant are equally as breathtaking.

The staff were incredible throughout and made our stay great. The hotel itself could probably do with some refreshing, with some areas looking like they haven’t been modernised in decades. That being said, the lobby is very nice and the pool is decent. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range and there were egg/pancake stations providing freshly cooked meals if desired. The chef cooking the omelettes did a particularly good job. Location is good for exploring the tourist hotspots. Traffic permitting, it’s about half hour to the Giza pyramids, 5 minutes to the museum (although that’s soon to move) and 15-20 minutes to anything else like the market. Overall, very happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel for someone looking for a base to explore Cairo.

Comfy beds, great security, excellent view, friendly service. Only two caveats are the hair dryer in the room was super weak and many tour companies do not offer pick up from hotels on Gezira island for some reason. A nice hotel, just too noisy for a good night sleep. To be clear the noise from outside. There were two other restaurants near by that parties till late, like 4:00 AM. Over all was good. Great staff and good amenities. Get a room on a higher level. The noise might not be as bad.

I think I loved the staff the most but I would want to mention it was in a great location with easy walks to dining as well. The hotel facilities and views from this hotel are amazing! Still, I wish we would have known that the hotel is close to many night clubs in the area so you could hear the music all night long. If you would like to party this is the best place to be, but we came with a small child and had troubles sleeping.

I stayed at Sofitel Nile El Gazerah for 10 days . We had the most nice vacation at this luxurious hotel . Every thing was great from Dining option . They have a breakfast buffet many delicious option from ethnic Egyptian food , health Mediterranean diet , Coffe Coffee here is the best . Samy at the hotel reception is a very nice gentleman man . He found my wallet in the hotel’s bathroom immediately he maid international phone call to let me know he found my wallet , Ahmed at housekeeping is also nice , all the hotel security staff are very helpful, definitely I recommend this hotel because it has the most swimming pool looks directly on the Nile .

The Breakfast was Amazing, so was the Dinner Restaurant right beside the Nile. Only the quantity of the Meat was a little to less I would have liked more Meat on the table. The bread is House Made and fresh therefore the taste is great. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay.

We cannot recommend this property any more highly! Absolutely stunning location (walkable to the Egyptian Museum too), lovely and helpful staff, delicious dining options, nice room, and great spa/pool services. We hope to stay again one day!
