The garden in the back is absolutely beautiful, with a playground for children, plenty of tables and a wonderful garden area. The bar area and breakfast is good, not amazing considering you have to pay for it (not included). Parking is per visit not daily which was a nice change from other hotels in the area. It is super close to the arena (literally a fifteen minute walk down the street).

The hotel was nice, the staff were great and the room was lovely. Problem I had is I thought that there was safe/secure parking on-site due to the ANPR and barrier systems in place. How wrong was I… whilst I’ve been told the ANPR got a registration (probably cloned) the exit barrier was left up which enabled the thieves who broke into and stole from my van, leave. The on-site parking is far from secure!! Very disappointed

According to the receptionist, I could have diner until 9pm at the restaurant. When I arrived at 8:30, it turned out there was no chef and the restaurant was closed. Had to take an Uber into town. The location is quite convenient for the football and the motorway. The breakfast was nice, the pancake maker was great! The bread and sausages also really nice, no other egg choice than scrambled. The breakfast person was not particularly suited to customer service. The bar staff however were lovely and friendly. We ordered food at 9pm and took it to our room but they coyld drliver for £5. The room was clean and spacious, with a big bed and a single. I'd paid more for the extra bed for my son but the bed wasn't made up, the receptionist had to do it as there was no housekeeping or maintenance at 3pm on Saturday. I offered but she did it when we wete out. She said it has to be requested at booking (no mention of that on the site) but surely if I've paid extra for the extra bed I want to use it. Anyway, problem resolved. No information given about any hotel services or restaurant times at check in or in our room that we could find. I'd called the day before to check we could have breakfast brought to the room and they'd said yes but the receptionist said they didn't offer breakfast room service. If I needed to contact reception I just called the hotel as there were no instructions in the room. The gym looked really nice and modern and the parking easy enough, you just register at check in. Overall it was a nice enough stay and I'd stay again if needed.

Stay was great. Disappointed with the cleanliness of some parts of the hotel. Room was clean but walls near the bin and the toilet could use a bit of attention in most rooms as I had friends in other rooms and they were the same. The carpet in the hallways could use hoovering, lots of stains and spills that weren’t tended to.

Only problem was I stayed two weekends Sat/Sun/Mon. The cleaning staff on the Sundays did not make up the room both weekends. I was left with no clean towels and no clean cups for coffee etc. Some parts show signs of aging and need renovation/ updating.

Receptionist pleasant enough, the room however was a major let down for the £110 paid. My 4 year old son got hold of some rubbish under the bed which had not cleared before we got there. Some small pieces of bubble wrap which thankfully my 1 year old daughter didnt get hold off!! Followed by an empty 1lt bottle of juice drink and a silicon wrist band. Such a poor level of cleaning to start with, which made us feel like the room was dirty and not been cleaned, let alone my annoyoce that our daughter could have swollowed the bubble wrap if we were not paying attention. There was dust everywhere including the glass shelving in the wardrobe next to the tea and coffee tray, which again made it feel dirty. The iron burn mark upon entering on the carpet, the bathroom silicon was showing mould, the walls where grubby particularly inside the seperate toilet room. The television remote was not working with the TV either. The bed was comfortable enough and the sheets felt and looked clean. We were very tired and if I am honest as it was only the one night stay, we just slept and got up and left asap in the morning but we were pretty disgusted. Everything beyond the reception area looks so tired and run down. The car park and hotel outside area looks unkept and first impressions were poor at best. Not impressed by this hotel chain that I once considered to be respectable and wished I had booked somewhere else.

The Novotel was lovely. I had an initial issue with my first room and Shakira on the desk very quickly moved me into another room. A better view on the back too. Be aware, if you are over 6ft3 you will struggle with the showers, as my head was just underneath it. Easily access off the motor way. Clean and tidy, with a great size room. Happily stay again.

I booked through expedia and the advert showed and stated a deep soaking bath which was a major factor in booking this hotel. Unfortunately when we arrived it was a shower only room and was disappointed. The room itself was nice, modern and clean and we were impressed. However it had an adjoining door to the next room which offered no soundproofing what so ever, noise from their TV and conversations would often drown out our own TV. Unruly guests were allowing there children to run up and down the corridor screaming and shouting for most of the evening. If you love the sound off slamming doors day and night every 2 minutes then this is the place for you! When we left in the morning we could clearly smell cigarette smoke and weed from other rooms as we passed them. So to sum up, nice room but everything else let the hotel down.

Thought the Novotel was very overpriced for what we received! The pull out bed was seriously uncomfortable! It really isn't a bed by anyone's imagination! For that reason alone I wouldn't choose this again. Saying that though reception staff were lovely and helpful and housekeeping good, but we've stayed in much cheaper competitors accommodation with much better put up/single beds.

The noise from the corridor is terrible. The doors are so thin and have gaps underneath so all noise is heard. Guests who have no respect came in at 12.30 shouting and slamming doors. This went on for over an hour. To be honest anyone coming it at my time will be heard.

I stayed for work and the bed was comfy and I liked the toiletries and shower. Breakfast was nice. Restaurant in the evening wasn’t great, not a lot of choice and small portions for the price. The servers got the order wrong and took a while. Light coming in the room from the corridor was annoying when trying to sleep.

Easy to find, just off M6. Comfy rooms with separate shower room and separate toilet. Modern decor, comfy beds, wardrobe space and desk and seating area. Good WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking is £6 a night which I begrudge! Good choice of food and drinks in the bar/restaurant and great breakfast. Have stayed a few times for work and would definitely stay again.

Hotel is fine. The bar and food areas are ok . The rooms are large, firm bed, lots of pillows, plenty of towels, iron and kettke in room. Decent shower. Carpets need replacing. No real public transport links , nearest bus is a ten minute walk. No shops nearby. If you drive its fine as its very close to the motorway. No HDMI slots worked on the TV. Windows are a bit draughty. Lots of noise from the floor above late at night that went on for an hour or two. Some of the staff were new. One didnt know what almost any of the drinks in the bar were and another dished out one sachet everytime when you asked for some coffee for the room. The breakfasts were good. Plenty of everything. Would stay again at the right price although walk ins can be very expensive.

Booked and paid 2 months in advance for a concert in the area. 2 and half hour journey, five minutes away from the hotel recieved a call to say thryd overbooked and had to cancel our booking, but bit to worrg they found us a room in the ibis (2 stars!) and theyd cover the cost! Laughable. Course thed cover the cost - it was bloody cheaper! Had to find our own hotel at a ridiculous cost becase everything was booked, more frustrating was that my sister went down to reception to find our what was going on and they were checking people in after we'd been cancelled?
Booked and paid 2 months in advance for a concert in the area. 2 and half hour journey, five minutes away from the hotel recieved a call to say thryd overbooked and had to cancel our booking, but bit to worrg they found us a room in the ibis (2 stars!) and theyd cover the cost! Laughable. Course thed cover the cost - it was bloody cheaper! Had to find our own hotel at a ridiculous cost becase everything was booked, more frustrating was that my sister went down to reception to find our what was going on and they were checking people in after we'd been cancelled?

According to the receptionist, I could have diner until 9pm at the restaurant. When I arrived at 8:30, it turned out there was no chef and the restaurant was closed. Had to take an Uber into town. So far the worst stay we had considering it is a novotel. We always prefer to stay in novotel during our holidays for the last 10 years but this one is an exemption. The first room was dirty, fair enough they transferred us to a different room but still dirty and sofa bed for the kids wasn’t made. Few minutes after settling in the room a couple opened our hotel door, maybe a double booking. Went to the reception loads of times to remind them about the beddings for the sofa bed and said they will sort it out but never came until 10 pm when they decided to to give us the linens and the kids are already sleeping and were waken up considering we had a long day and travelled for 4 hours. Not to mention hearing few knocks on the door and someone even tried to open the door knob. Due to our frustrations we left the hotel first thing in the morning.

The stay was great until the fire alarm had gone off at 3 on the morning, there was no procedure for that as everyone was standing in the building and the staff hadnt informed anyone what to do and where to go. Other than that the stay was great.

Visited and asked for a different room front reception decided they would sort it,manager came over and shouted at the employee making her feel uncomfortable,manager complained saying it was fully booked where as reception had said they had rooms available,manager was very rude to staff and definitely shouldn’t be managing a place like Novotel speaking to his staff in such a disrespectful manner.

Hotel was a convenient walking distance to attend the Ricoh arena. The room was a good size and the bar food was good. The breakfast was excellent as well. I found the staff very friendly. I paid £5 for 2 nights parking and there was plenty of spaces .

Quick overnight stop on way to Woburn. Not greatest of looking buildings, but once inside you don't see that. And what looked like a nice garden at the rear. Friendly and efficient check in. Separate bathroom and toilet unusual for these days but worked quite well. Reasonably convenient to M6.

Easy to find, just off M6. Comfy rooms with separate shower room and separate toilet. Modern decor, comfy beds, wardrobe space and desk and seating area. Good WiFi. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking is £6 a night which I begrudge! Good choice of food and drinks in the bar/restaurant and great breakfast. Have stayed a few times for work and would definitely stay again.

Hotel is fine. The bar and food areas are ok . The rooms are large, firm bed, lots of pillows, plenty of towels, iron and kettke in room. Decent shower. Carpets need replacing. No real public transport links , nearest bus is a ten minute walk. No shops nearby. If you drive its fine as its very close to the motorway. No HDMI slots worked on the TV. Windows are a bit draughty. Lots of noise from the floor above late at night that went on for an hour or two. Some of the staff were new. One didnt know what almost any of the drinks in the bar were and another dished out one sachet everytime when you asked for some coffee for the room. The breakfasts were good. Plenty of everything. Would stay again at the right price although walk ins can be very expensive.

Check was fine. Then we went for a bite to eat and was told that the kitchen would be closed until 1930. We went to the bar to wait, due to a private function, waited 10 minutes to eventu5get served, as the bar is tiny and only a few staff on. Went to restaurant, sat down, no staff, eventually managed to ask a staff member to order food, as by this time the queue at the bar was now 20 people deep. Food arrived, not what we ordered and missing items Breakfast was meh, coffee machine not working, dirty cups and again no staff at all to assist. When we checked out, no staff about, the hotel was like a ghost hotel, just us guests and no staff. A very disappointing visit and stay at the Novotel.

The room was pleasant but the lack of a washbasin in the separate toilet negate it usefulness as I had to use the one in the shower room. The dining facilities were nice but the food was poor very gristly steak. Breakfast was ok but at 9.30 a bit overcooked.

Receptionists brilliant, the room was ok bed very comfortable .only bad thing was the breakfast dont waste your money food cold service terrible a half harted effort i watched as a lady asked if there was any more cornflakes as the container was empty the girl waitress just ignored her, she repeatedly passed the container never once filling it up.

I stayed for work and the bed was comfy and I liked the toiletries and shower. Breakfast was nice. Restaurant in the evening wasn’t great, not a lot of choice and small portions for the price. The servers got the order wrong and took a while. Light coming in the room from the corridor was annoying when trying to sleep.
