Good parking

Bed mattress should have been change 3 years ago. Spring sticking through. Bedding covers torn and should have again been binned ages ago. Carpet was beyond the magic of a vacuum cleaner or vacuum washer, unclean-able and actually nasty to the point I didn’t walk in bare feet on it. I’m an average man that’s happy to rough it but really there needs a little money spent on some basics. It seems that nothing has been replaced since day 1 of opening. If I was staying with wife or family it would have been a disaster and looking for refund as couldn’t have stayed. Breakfast nice but I made the mistake of having dinner there 1 out of 5 nights. Staff lovely but everything frozen, cheep and microwaved but costing the same and more than my 4 meals out/off site. The back rooms seemed quite insecure and lacking in obvious cameras in comparison to the show of cameras at the front. No phone communication with front desk. No fridge to even put a bottle of water in. Very limited tv channels and terrible mobile reception. A little money put back into the hotel and it would be a very different review as staff lovely and friendly.

It wasn’t too bad or too good. Just average. The socket was far from the bed and you need to pay £10 incase of damages at the reception (which is refundable within some days)

Overnight stay whilst attending an event at Doncaster Dome. Very convenient. Free parking on site and located within short walk to The Dome. Room clean but basic as expected for the price. Bed soft but had a decent sleep. Breakfast included

Campanile is like a US motel. The bedrooms are at ground level separate from the hotel which means that you can park right outside your room. Very handy. I didn't use any services so cannot comment. The motel is in a very handy area with lots of restaurants. a large lake and an Aircraft Museum. Well worth a visit. I will stay here again.

Just an overnight on business. Hotel tired and shabby. Bar food average and pricey. Not particularly friendly. Rooms feel dark and need a freshen up. Walls paper thin. Not good value. Dont like motel style rooms with door to outside.

Have stated here a numerous times over recent years. Never really complained as it’s budget class and you get what you pay for. The beds are crippling, really old and worn mattresses. I asked to be moved on my recent stay which fortunately was possible. However, I won’t be staying here again due to vehicle being robbed of all tools. I reported this to reception and they said that the cctv was very poor. I asked about security and they told that this particular week the security man was on holiday……make of that what you will. I would not not feel safe staying here anymore and would urge to think twice if you are a contractor with tools in the van.

Good location to shops and eating places, rooms cleaned daily and plenty of parking

On arrival I was surprised to find this was a motel not a hotel. Receptionist was good and process quick. Room was clean and in reasonable condition. All staff very friendly. Breakfast was Ok. Location is excellent, being surrounded by facilities and either a straight road to the town centre or direct bus. Anyone used to American motels will feel instantly at home, lets say its not a place for intimate relations..

Very clean, although TV had a big line down the screen, was still watchable, basic but exactly what we needed, bed was the most comfortable bed weve ever slept in. Easy check in ,£10 refundable breakage policy, shame have to wait 5 working days to get back, but over all we would definitely stay again

A budget hotel, but old, tired rooms. Mattresses were uncomfortable and the bed sheets didn't cover the whole bed. An old pair of socks found under the bed and the floor hadn't seen a hoover for a while. Far more hotels at this price offering a better standard. Cleanliness isn't difficult to achieve. Poor

Lovely friendly staff. I picked the hotel because I needed to be sure to get something to eat on arrival. Only told as I booked in ‘Sorry no restaurant service tonight.’ Much worse however was the large clump of dark hair in the bath plug -hole. Turned my stomach. I did inform the staff next morning -no offer of a partial refund for that and no food. Probably won’t stay there again.

Dirty and not towel not hair dryer working and smelly and dirty floors

The staff are very friendly, especially Karl, made me feel welcome, very helpful, polite and a great sense of humour. The room was extremely clean and warm, best value hotel in Doncaster by far.

Very basic, could do with a proper deep clean in the rooms ie scrubbing the grout on the floor, rather than just doing the bare minimum. There should have been consideration for people staying to the check out time (12pm). I was woken up twice by housekeeping knocking! Very annoying when I’d already said the first time I was staying till 12pm. Not just that, but someone decided to start scraping the paving at 10am, really irritating this scratching noise outside your room. They should have done this at 12pm. Housekeeping and the reception team should liaise with each other to determine which rooms have checked out - not knocking on doors multiple times to check.

Hotel was fine. Bit old but clean. Good price did the job.

It was very 70’s decor, carpet didn’t feel clean, not enough towels or pillows, lighting poor.

The hotel room was very clean. It could do with updating and the shower could do with a hand rail or slip mat as it feels unsafe getting in and out. Overall we felt happy with our stay and though it was good value for money.

Area is ok and good parking . Rooms need upgrading . Beds are soft and lumpy and could do with being replaced . Ok for a working man which it is mostly used by . Bathrooms are ok and showe fine . It is basic but very functional

Hotel was fine, but the matrass on the bed left a lot to be desired and disturbed my night's sleep. Shame, as rest was fair value for money.

Budget friendly, clean hotel. Only negative was that the noise carry’s easily from other rooms. I had a very disturbed sleep due to the room above arguing for most of the night.

Stayed at campanile Friday 3rd Jan,the staff were very friendly the room clean but could do with a new mattress as the one in hurt my back & sleeps important when stay at a hotel. The heater was only warm & the temps had dropped to below freezing so was chilly in the room

Absolutely horrible bed, springs popping when I wasn't even in it, no evening meal, one electric plug-in, 10. Ft away by the window, bathtub very small.

Very basic, and dated, but cheep however not so cheerful, paper thin walls, could hear other people arguing, shouting, doors slamming and loud music into the early hours, cannot dispute the cleanliness though

You pay for what you get. Budget hotel and a bed for the night. Hotel in general felt a little tired. Quiet enough and good WiFi. Only downside was the mattress felt poor (when I sat on it it felt like my backside hit the top of the divan), but got a good night sleep which is priority when working away

The mattress you could feel the springs & so old a divert where people sleep. Noise of a large extraction system on the roof, purring all night.

Nice pleasant staff near everything we need to use walking distances ,just had to re tune the tv as it has no signal

TV didn't work no signal High dusting need doing ie picture frames full of dust on top

I must today give it an additional accolade, as 2 of the staff were most helpful and concerned when I tripped on a mat as I was going to check out! No harm came to me, but I was a little shocked, and most impressed by their helpful attitude!

Staff are rude had an issue with my booking and they just didnt care. Dont get any food from the all cheap tatesless frozen food at top prices. The rooms are dindgy. The bed had a big dip in the middle ao when you rolled over you felt like you was in the ditch. Poor at best the prices are still expensive for what you get

Had a issue and nothing was resolved

Staff were excellent - super helpful, kind and professional - and the beds were clean and comfy. There are some aspects in need of refurbishment but the rooms were spacious and clean in spite of this. The location is ideal for events at The Dome, which is why we were there.

wasnt what i was expecting when first saw location was very impressed though with how quiet area is and friendliness of everyone good location with lots to do in such a short distance for all ages

Very close to Doncaster Dome and Doncaster Racecourse, Room was like a motel type thing! Very small and basic and abit old inside but was comfortable and had everything we needed!

The hotel was in a great location, near food outlets. Wasn't too far from Yorkshire Wildlife Park which was amazing. The hotel itself was clean, tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again

Absolutely fantastic!! Great location close to leisure center and food and shops but also very quiet and tranquil brilliantly done recommend to everyone !

Basic accommodation but clean 10 mins wslk to doncaster race coarse which was good as no taxis available coming out iff the racrs

Although clean it was disappointing as it was advertised as doing evening meals but on entering the bar at 7pm Saturday evening we were told food was Monday to Friday only , the bar was card only no cash whatsoever and the mattress was extremely lumpy and so not even a good nights sleep ,will not be returning to this ‘hotel’

The hotel is very good close to down center But the breakfast was horrible. Black mushroom suggy hash brown Will not recommend talking breakfast there

Lovely quiet stay, and all staff are superb had an error on my own behalf and was sorted from the manger with no fuss. Had a delicious meal at their french themed restaurant, all reasonably priced. My stay was worth every penny and more

what you get for the price - basic room that was clean but the mattress was old and needed replacing. We arrived at 2000 and the restaurant was already closed so we had to go elsewhere to eat. Breakfast was fine and there was little noise from outside
