We stayed in a family room for 2 nights. The room was a good size and on request a travel cot was supplied and this was in excellent condition, looked almost brand new. Hotel was quiet, had easy parking and the staff were friend and helpful. Down side food not great, very limited selection of snacks at the bar just crisps and as the meal service was limited the night we arrived as a chef had not turned up we really could have done with a better section of snacks. No vending machine either, normally I would be happy about that, but if the hotel isn’t going to be able to deliver food then it’s a requirement.

They show on the website that they have laundry but they did not. After biking 50 miles with 40 miles of it in the rain with 11-year-old twins, I needed to do laundry. The gentleman that checked us in was of no help at all. I ended up washing things in the shower and then needed a fan to dry them off. I used the only fan in the room to do that. I requested a second fan from the older gentleman that was at the front desk overnight and he told me that they had some on order waiting to be delivered but he could not give me one last night. I asked if one of the empty hotel rooms had a fan and he replied “no, you have the only fan”. When I asked around at breakfast, everyone is in headbands in the room. When I asked the lady at the front desk, the hotel was not fall last night. Yes, every room had a fan. We slept in an 80° room with no air movement as the fan that we had was needed to dry clothes so we could leave the next morning. Would not recommend this hotel or the staff to anyone.

Excellent stay, we are back again next weekend and already looking forward to it. Nice and clean, friendly helpful staff. Pity the hotel restaurant and bar are closed but the pub/restaurant opposite is excellent.

large modern built hotel located directly behind a pub but within its own grounds, centrally positioned between Doncaster and Rotherham. Clean and comfortable, no evening food so had to go to the pub. Pleasant staff and helpful. Breakfast served in the restaurant / bar area, self service but enjoyable and good options.

Room was nice, breakfast ok. Disappointed that we returned to hotel at 21.20 to find that the bar staff had closed up, had to use night porter for very limited drinks, Told if we wanted a drink we should go across the car park to the resturant bar.

The Bar shut (by 23:00) without calling "Last Orders", and as We were sat in the Reception, We were not aware of this happening. The Girl behind the Bar was just abruptly dismissive!! Not a Good impression.

The bars where well stocked with a good variety of beers and wines. You also had a choice of two restaurants to dine from. Plenty of parking spaces to choose from. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great, again good variety and choice to suit your requirements. All in all, good value for money and I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The seal in the shower was all mouldy there was cobwebs behind the storage heater in the bedroom the bed was so bad you could feel the springs digging in your back so bad I got up at 5am and drove home

Staff were wonderful. The room had a damp smell, the shower had a lot of mildew but shower was powerful and hot. Kept having to adjust the TV Ariel as lost signal. The breakfast wasn't the best but not expensive.

I chose Pastures because I wanted to stay in Mexborough. The room was good, very well lit, and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit tight and the floor got wet from the shower. Saw a few cobwebs and the room could have been cleaner but overall I would stay there again. The breakfast was good and so was the Pastures restaurant across the car park.

It was as listed and perfectly functional. Unfortunately the sink did have a sewage smell possibly due to the proximity to the local river. Not the first time we have stayed here and won't be the last.

The hotel looked lovely when we booked it on-line. Slightly dissapointed when we got there as wasnt cheap. It was a very basic room. The window sill was quite old and cracked wood. The towel rail in the bathroom was dusty. It needs updating and cleaning properly. The staff was really nice and polite and helpful.

only stayed one night en route to Sheffield for snooker. lovely looking from outside, lobby is nice, rooms are decent but can do with an update. bit older feeling. wifi is shocking, unable to log on, when reception aided this, it would never work, got advised it's because we are full and everyone will be watching Netflix. lol, no, it's just awful. breakfast however was lovely, we had to two hot options, I'm sure it was £11-£12 region. all items fresh and warm, and the ladies walking the floor are a delight. noisy room my side due to folks smoking at main door. thankfully the other side was my mothers and it looked over some grass and fields so she slept fine. they need more disabled parking spots. only had two.

The stay was ok stayed over on the 9th December.The noise from other rooms was disgusting partying till 2.30am in the morning . We was in room 17 . Room 18 and next door Banging doors talking loud shouting in the corridors did not complain because felt they would just make more noise .my daughter was working in the morning and thanks to the noise had very little sleep . Mentioned it in the morning to staff and said the night porter should of sorted the noise out and going to have a word with the member of staff . Said maybe if we book again they will give us a upgrade . Which I feel we will not go back to the hotel again so don't really help . I would like hotels .com to look into this .

One night stop over and was well looked after. Staff were fantastic from arrival to when we checked out. Room was clean and comfortable and the only down point was no air con on a very warm night making it uncomfortable. A fan was provided but just moved the warm air around. Great breakfast and overall would well recommend the hotel.

Over night stay on business. Very nice setting by the canal, sunny enough for a walk after work. Friendly team members, good size room. Windows opened - bonus! Rooms a little dated in terms of windows and hardware, but comfortable

I chose this hotel for its location. The rooms were good, staff were helpful. I ate the continental breakfast but the cooked breakfast looked good too. We ate dinner at the restaurant across the car park so that was very convenient. The only downside was that it was quite noisy. My room was close to reception so that might not have helped but you could clearly hear people in the rooms nearby.

Outstanding team which made my stay a pleasure from check in and throughout. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the general atmosphere around the place. I was working around South Yorkshire basing myself here. Unfortunately I took ill, was admitted to hospital and still not been discharged by check out date. The staff have stored all my belongings and given me peace of mind when I have enough stress with illness at the moment. Really nice to see a business show their human side. Really made me feel at home and I will definitely make this hotel my base when working in the area again in future.

Spacious, clean room with nice extras such as an iron and ironing board. Good shower. All the staff were very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Would recommend.

One night stay whilst visiting friends and family. Comfortable room which despite warm weather was reasonably cool as window could be fully opened. Clean bathroom with a good shower. The hotel also has a pub on site which does very well priced food, using a lot of local ingredients, although beer was expensive for the area. Breakfast was good. A decent selection of continental and hot options and nice to have tea/coffee made for you rather than having to use a machine. I would have no hesitation in using the hotel again if I am in the area in the future.

Great rooms with fluffy towels and super comfy beds. Breakfast may involve a bit of a wait as food is fresh and not congealing under a hot light! Worth the wait though
