Hilton Garden Inn West Edmonton

Very nice hotel over all..staff was very friendly Only downfall was none of the ice machines on the floors were working so had to go to the lobby but not a big issue.

Hot tub wasn’t hot. Pool room noisy. Gym is cramped. Hilton used to mean nice…what happened?

The hot tub was not verry hot the water was cloudy, pool size was small.The elvtaor needs work at times it felt as if it was going to malfunction. Satff were friendly and accommodating.

I loved the pressure of the shower head eee! but on the down side... the elevators were down my entire stay :( I think I should have been offered a future stay with a discount.

Easy parking

Room was exactly as described. Elevators were a bit slow and bumpy. Ice machine was not working. Several sports teams were in the hotel and quite load as a result

Elevators both broken. Was told by front desk that there was people working on them, however, no one was seen anywhere. I think because it’s Sunday they simply hung an “out of order” sign and told guests they were working on it. At least be honest.

We stay here all the time! We love the pool, and the Breakfast, but what keeps us coming back over and over is the service in the lounge! Top notch bar tender!

Travelled 5 hours to sit in the hot tub, only to see it outta service. 😩. Then when it was up n running. It was luke warm water. Elevators scary and breaks down between floors. Parking wasn’t good. No room or too much snow. Maybeinsummer,they’llaccommodbigger vechiles

Great staff, but this property is badly in need of better maintenance: chairs in breakfast restaurant look about 50 years old, carpets in halls need cleaning, bathtub was PAINTED (and surface is peeling), shower head had two full-blast options, TV picture was crappy on most channels, bed frame corners whacked my kneecaps six times in three days (how about some protective covers?). Pool is very good, but moving from pool area to washrooms you get an ARCTIC blast of air.

No extra toilet paper. Stains, don't know if they are fresh or??

The staff are super friendly and helpful! The bathtub in our room could use a facelift. There are chips in the finish and there is black looking unappealing mold looking stuff around the tub/wall caulking.

The room was very clean, hotel staff were friendly and supportive. My heating wasn't working the first night and it was fixed ASAP.

Easy check in and clean rooms

The staff at front desk were rude, and unsure how to accept payments for movie rentals, or refreshments. Sleeping linens were not provided for the pull out bed, when asked if we could get some, the response from front desk staff came across as I was inconveniencing them. The pool area was filthy Room 621 was not clean upon arrival. I would like even a partial refind

The system was down--no key card so had to get someone to let us in our room each time we went out. There were a couple of things found in the room from previous guests. A barrett under the bed and a sparkly bear sticker on bathroom threshold. There was no instructions for room safe. Plus I had to get down on my knees on the floor to try and figure it out. With system down we couldn't call the desk. Not user friendly at all. Staff was great! They were friendly and tried to accommodate guests as much as possible.

Was not happy with this stay. The entrance is very nice and updated but the rooms are very worn and need repairs. First room we got smelled of mildew (even with the air off and window open). Got a new room only for it to smell like mildew and a heavy spray of air freshener. Which they assumed would cover the smell before we entered the new room. Beds were so worn that we would roll into each other, rusted bathroom fixtures, stained mildew tile grout, water damaged framing & baseboards. Bathroom door was tight we had to struggle to open and close it. Sink was plugged and dripping from the tap. All furniture was visibly worn. Woke up in the morning with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Definitely a place the is not on par with Hilton hotels. -positives were friendly staff and the lounge had amazing food. Save yourself the hassle, pay a little extra for comfort at another location.

For the price we paid, this hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean as well as the hotel itself. We have stayed wth Hilton before and were not disappointed with the care and cleanliness.

The hotel itself, and the room are very clean, staff friendly. I was very disappointed in the hot tub, it was not even half full, there was definitely black mold in the grout. The flyer for pizza take out was also another disappointment the food was terrible and very expensive. I know its not the hotels fault. the breakfast that you have to pay for was also not very good.

The bed was old and had a big dip in the middle and the Hot Tub didn’t have Jets, we were under the impression it was renovated and it clearly was not. Unfortunately will not stay there again

The bed was terribly uncomfortable, like sunken in the entire middle section. I had to sleep on the edge of bed and did not sleep well at all.

Noisy floor above and road noise

Rooms are tidy but due for a refresh.

The air conditioners need to be adjustable to a colder temp when it’s 30 degrees outside we should be able to turn the a/c down to less then 18.5

Poor wifi

This Hilton is showing its age, however it was clean and had the amenities we required. We stayed in a two queen room, which easily fit two adults and two children. The fitness centre was small, but everything worked, and our kids enjoyed the pool.

Great stay, bed was comfortable, it was quiet and clean

We stayed in a suite. It was average. Aging, but clean. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much sleep as the bed was super uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a hard, stone slab table. It felt like you were sleeping directly on a box spring - you could feel every spring. The bed is the most important part of the room. I am paying for a place to sleep. Instead I had a restless night that left my body tired and hurting.

I stayed at this hotel unexpectedly due to a family emergency, drawn by its proximity to Misericordia Hospital. When manager Subin learned of my situation, he kindly offered ways to reduce my nightly rate and included breakfast in the package. The staff checked in on me regularly and made several schedule adjustments so I could remain in the same room throughout my stay. The room was exceptionally clean and quiet, and the breakfast—served at your table—was a lovely surprise. Yes, some of the decor is a little dated, but the hotel is comfortable, well-kept, and staffed by genuinely caring people who go above and beyond. Five stars, without hesitation. Thank you, Subin and team.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had surgery they let us check in early brought extra pillows and towels and when I was able to get up they cleaned room right away. They have good breakfast available.

Was granted late check out, but maid service not aware as they entered room several times to clean while I was there

The staff was very helpful and polite. They made our stay very pleasant.

The hallway was noisy till almost 11 and the guest as soon as we get out of the elevator and in our room the guest is eating and they all setting in the hallway, parent and their teenage kids, i think they had a tournament somewhere but i couldn't believed seeing this. i contacted the front desk but no one answer the call, and no one also call our room back poor services and management. The cable not much show to choose. We didnt book this place again went back to Edmonton for holiday for 3 days we book another hotel.

Nice hotel to stay at , fairly central to most parts of city and west end area

For a Hilton Garden Inn, was definitely on the disappointing side. The area is rough, the rooms haven’t been maintained in a few years, and there are better hotels for the same $$ a few blocks West.

Was a decent enough hotel but wouldn’t stay again. For how much you’re paying I’d expect better service. There was no complimentary breakfast like other hotels; they charge you but don’t tell you till after you’ve eaten (there’s no signage stating the cost of breakfast) the waiter/waitress/hostess doesn’t pay attention to service needs (clearing plates or getting more coffee) just seemed more concerned with what room # you were in for charging. The pillows were so crappy. “Feathers” but you needed like 10 to make just one pillow. We were given 3 pillows for a king size bed; called down and asked if they had different pillows and and they gave us 2 more of the same light pillows.We went out and bought an actual pillow from a store for our stay. Bed was very firm. The room was okay. There was water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom and mold in the shower. Toiletries that are provided was crappy; the hand soap and body wash made you feel sticky afterwards; and they never restocked our coffee cups in the room once we used them. We had to keep asking for new ones. They have a pool and a “jacuzzi” but the jets are pathetically weak and it’s more consistent with a bubbling warm bath. No one restocked the towels in the pool ever so once they were all used up you try using the phone to call front desk no one answered for 15-20 mins. We finally left the pool area soaking wet to walk through to the lobby and the desk guy was just standing there looking outside at the rain clouds.

Hotel Wi-Fi not stable, choppy. Breakfast a bit expensive

The stir fry was overcooked and 5 sm. Pieces of chicken you could put it in a small bowl for 25.00 the seafood basket was overcooked the rooms where cold and they took way to much off m to credit card tried calling them but drove over there to fix it will I was on hold 30 min. Later I got there and I was still on hold never staying there again

Clean hotel. Excellent breakfast and pleasant staff.

Hotel is outdated but maintained well and very clean. Night staff was a bit rude but everyone else was very nice. Dining has limited hours and the restaurant looks more like a cafeteria that is essentially in the reception.

Room was extremely cold, we were traveling with a baby and it was quite uncomfortable. There was not maintenance people available to fix heating issue and all we got was an extra blanket and a space heater. Breakfast was very mediocre, i would not pay extra for that if i knew beforehand. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and i wouldn’t stay here again

I was very disappointed that the hotel was very dated given it’s part of the Hilton family. I was expecting similar vibe to Hampton Inn and Suites and thought there would be breakfast included but it was $18 charge instead. There was no water included unless you’re a certain tier in HH, no toothpaste even a small single use one for guests that forgot it. They had to charge for a tube. The faucet in the room had a lot of green gunk and the air conditioning in my room was so warm even though I tried to lower the temp. I was sweating all night. Will not stay there again.
