Didn't realize that a concert was on the night we booked so it was very busy and was kept awake by people partying in the rooms on our hall. Our room was very out of date and our room keys had to be replaced constantly. Staff was very nice and helpful though and we enjoyed our dinner in the Chop restaurant. Was looking forward to the pool on the top floor, but when we saw it, it was quite murky so we didn't go in it.

We stayed in a premium king room on the top floor and it was perfect! Great view of the city, very clean, bed was super comfy with a variety of pillow choices. The hottub and pool on the top floor were very clean and well maintained. Location is great, just 5 min walk to Rogers place. Will definitely reccomend this hotel and look forward to another stay!

Parking is now a total sc.m We previously paid through hotel and it was for 24 hrs type thing . Paying through the machine the told us to do it through 28 got us from 3pm to 6 am. Got up at 6am to do a few more hours till 10 and had to pay 30 more ! So we paid 58.00 for less then 24 hours to park below .

Clean room, friendly helpful staff. The wifi kicked in and out. The gym is absolutely terrible- its hot, small with too much equipment in a small space. Downtown Edmonton is shady and the parking lot is expensive considering you don't get a reserved spot as a hotel guiest even though you're paying for it.

For the price of this hotel per night I would expect to be staying in luxury. The furniture is old, the decor is old and tired, there was a layer of dust over all the hard surfaces. I actually used the word “ashamed” when I was describing the hotel and the price they are charging for game day stays… they should be ASHAMED of charging this much for this sub par room.

we booked a two night stay at this hotel and it wasn't the greatest! our room was hardly cleaned; dust on the tv and bar fridge, the bar fridge also didn't close properly, there were cobwebs in the corners of the windows, the curtains were so sun bleached and the lock on the door was super janky. our sink didn't drain properly; we cleaned it ourselves and pulled a massive hairball out of it.. gross. the shower squealed so loudly and the faucet isn't secure either. there was a orange/pink earplug in the corner of the room as well; how does cleaning staff miss that?! apparently, bottled water is complimentary but we didnt find that out until the second night but like, why not have two or four bottles of water in the room UPON arrival?! Chop restaurant adds an automatic gratuity (almost 20%) to their room service order and then has the audacity to have a tip option .. LoL! we ordered steak bites and a sandwich and it was $66 .. wild. the staff member on nights was less than friendly and then we were charged parking for the two nights as well; any other hotel I have stayed at has FREE on site parking. the pillows were somewhat comfy, so there's that. I guess.

Check-in went well, the staff was friendly and helpful in explaining parking, etc. The room appeared nice with a good view from the 14th floor. The bathroom wasn’t very clean with a used makeup wipe laying on the floor beside the garbage can and a clump of someone’s hair falling out of the hand towel when I unfolded it. There were candy, peanuts and dust bunnies visible on the floor indicating the floor behind the sofa hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

We booked for three nights. First night we found multiple long strands of hairs on the shower wall indicating the shower was not cleaned. We needed an outlet to plug items in and followed the lamp cord that was on a night stand between the two beds, the outlet was behind the bed frame so we moved it a little in order to get to it and we discovered a gross amount of chips and dirt. This was all discovered later in the evening but we did go to the front desk to inform them, the gentleman was very nice and gave us a $50 voucher to use at The Chop restaurant (very expensive place, $50 paid for one person, our bill still was $100+ after the voucher for three people), he said he would switch our rooms in the morning and would make sure the housekeeping management were aware, asked me to forward the photos (I emailed them immediately) he said our new room would be thoroughly inspected. The next morning we went down, got the new keys activated to our new room. Upon arriving to the new room we found a dead fly on the desk, right in the centre very dried up you could tell it was there for a while. Bedding had a black mark that was able to be scratched off a bit, not washed. Cabinet to the fridge had missing handles. We put our food in the fridge (app $100) then the next night we went to eat it and the fridge was warm, it wasn’t working! It was plugged in, just not working. We complained, showed photos and received a $91 refund and free parking. Oh and vending machines didn’t work.

When I checked in and went to my room given to me the room hadn’t been cleaned yet. Messy room, stunk. Went back to front desk and mentioned it and was given another room. Later on had to get cleaning staff up as the bathroom was disgusting and not cleaned. The manager at the front desk gave us a 100 dollar voucher for the restaurant there and apologized. The rooms need renovated as it’s an old place.

The front desk clerk was super rude to me when I needed my room card re-done. She acted like I was totally stupid even though it had worked the entire day before. When I got back to the elevator, the whole elevator was full of people whose cards did not work. I also was given a parking ticket before I left, so I had to go back to the front desk to get it voided. Very disappointed in the service at this hotel!

Our favorite place to stay when staying downtown Edmonton. Comfortable beds & pillows. Easy indoor access to the arena, great that we can avoid walking outside if needed. (Homeless people loitering outside, and sometimes in the indoor tunnel) Wouldn’t recommend walking alone in the tunnel at night.

This was a beautiful property and that part of downtown is really nice since the build of Roger's place. Gorgeous bar and restaurant in the lobby. My only complaint is that I was there during an oilers game and had a hard time getting a good night sleep. Great place for anyone going to the game but not for medical appointments (the Royal Alex Hospital is just down the street). I would still stay at this hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious and clean. Service was excellent at check-in. Pool was amazing and I enjoyed the eggs benny for breakfast. Just two small concerns. The chain on the toilet came off so you had to life the rubber stopper every time to flush. We were only staying for one night so I didn't mind. I reported it to the front desk. The only other concern was the parking. We checked in at 3pm and paid $28.00 at the Impark parkade terminal, which was only good til 6am the next day. It was Impark and had nothing to do with the hotel. I was provided with an app from the front desk called Hang Tag Parking. I would have to wake up at 6am to add more time. They wanted $43 for 5 hours!!!!! No thanks. So I went down to the parkade terminal and paid an additional $23 for the entire day. That was the best choice. Oh well. Most hotels charge around $60/night. Plus I drove my wife to her morning meeting at a nearby office and when I returned the gate to the parkade wouldn't open. I had to go back to the front desk where they provided me with a key card to get into the parkade. Wee bit of a pain. I think the hotel needs to make the parking situation better. Other than that a great hotel. Oh, the attached restaurant Chophouse was excellent. Beautiful room and great food. They also make a damn good old fashioned.
