The bed was clean, bathroom clean but with tiles falling off wall, door less wardrobe full of dust, carpets very dusty in corners and the room ...hardly enough space for two thin people to pass each other., Anyne big/ fat would have no chance. Room 15 should be a single with a single bed for chrissakes. Nobody on reception or in sight to complain to when we left at 1030am. Never again and a ripoff for the price. Avoid.

The hotel is on a lovely leafy and peaceful street and is a nice old Victorian building. It’s a bit shabby otherwise sadly! We would be ok to stay here again though. Member of staff tried hard to please and was friendly. Lent us a hairdryer etc. Another plus for the location is walking distance to Lark Lane nice cafes and bars. We didn’t try the breakfast. On the 2nd morning there was no hot water. You can register your car to get free parking but there is free parking I think on the road anyway.

The hotel was extremely disappointing and the whole experience has severely tainted my first ever trip Liverpool First room I was allocated, had two issues: - missing TV remote control; - faulty toilet flush that was constantly running. Upon raising these issues, the manager transferred me to a second room which initially appeared OK. However, this room too revealed some issues over the course of the night: - having dropped some coinage that rolled under the bed, I had to pull the bed away from the wall which revealed debris under the bed including used condom wrappers and toiletries; - there were very limited toiletries found in the bathroom: - empty dispensers for shower gel, shampoo and handwash. Only two small sachets of shampoo and soap provided; - vanity basin shaver light not working - faulty pull switch - the curtain was missing hooks so that it didn't close properly to cut out all light. When inspecting the issue it revealed extensive cobwebs behind the pelmet; - signage in the lift indicated that breakfast was available everyday from 7.00am, although when visiting the dining room shortly afer 7.00am there was no evidence of breakfast or staff. Uoj contacting the unmanned reception, I was informed that breakfast was only available from 9.00am. Upon returning to breakfast, despite there being a number of breakfast choices listed, only one was available.

Amazing support from the manager after I had a tyre blow out on the way up to daughter’s graduation. He literally took care of everything involved in getting my car picked up from the hotel after the AA dropped it off there, which helped me concentrate on the big day for my daughter and our family. Lovely, lovely man
