Blandford Hotel

Clean and staff friendly breakfast lovely. We had a family room (double with single bed ) aircon did not work, staff where very good and came to room to help but in the end gave us a fan and gave my husband a single room with aircon which was appreciated.

The hotel was nice but should offer some facilities like a bigger seating area and a few more amenities. The shower also needs attention . It is very compact and easy to flood the floor so more room is required in a small cubicle. It is powerful but sprayed everywhere

Well, perfect location to visit London. It was awesome for all of us. Maybe we will return in the future. The elevator is quite small.

Perfect location. WiFi speeds were 60mbps. The only hitch was the AC not warming up the room even though it was set for 30°

Brilliant shower. Room was ok, bed a bit too firm for our liking. Good Nespresso machine. Very handy for Marylebone and Baker Street. This was the reason for our choosing. Good luggage service and reasonable price for London. Good breakfast included.

This Hotel was really excellent value for money, the room was well equipped with all the expected amenities including, a fridge (turned off when card not in door) and kettle and coffee machine, in addition we also had a microwave. The bathroom was very clean and modern, they provided White company products which added a little luxury. The bed was very comfy and the air-conditioning was working well. Breakfast had a good variety on offer. The only small negative was the plug sockets had been installed to close to the fitted desk meaning that you couldn't get plugs into them. however the bed side plugs and USB ports were fine.

The Blandford Hotel is in the perfect location! It’s a quick walk to the tube stop, and is close to amazing restaurants and walking. The rooms aren’t very big - it’s hard to lay flat 2 checked luggage bags in order to unpack. The elevator is also very tiny. Worth it if you want to stay in the Marylebone area! Will definitely return!

The 4 star rating must have been granted a while ago. This hotel was a solid 3 star - nothing particularly special. The room had no heating, only air conditioning; the lift door did not fully close; and there was significant wear-and-tear in the room and around the building.

TLDR: The AC in the rooms do not work well. Our experience was that it would work for 40 minutes, then system would error and shut off. We were in London when the temps were 84F/29C, so quite warm and necessitating AC. I would NOT advise anyone to stay here when its warm outside. Long version - I am from the US and accustomed to AC, so I made sure to book a room with AC when visiting London. Upon check in to the room, it was warm, but we turned on the AC, and it seemed to be blowing cool air, so we left to explore London. When we came back in the evening, it was well over 80F in our room, and the AC didn't seem to be working well. Asking the evening staff member for help was useless. She was disinterested and unhelpful. After googling the thermostat in the room, I figured out how to specifically turn on the AC (it was on fan mode). However, after approximately 40 minutes, the AC system errored and defaulted back to fan mode (no more cool air). I spoke with staff about this, was told maintenance would look in the AM. The next morning, was told maintenance isn't available (because weekend), so they moved us to another room. That evening, after the daily temps were 91F/33.7C, we came back to another hot room, that didn't cool off. The evening desk person wasn't even available to speak with. The AC acted the same as the previous room, so after approximately 2 hours we decided to leave and stay elsewhere for the duration of our trip.

The room was so small and the bathroom was not quite clean enough. The sheets had lots of small stains. Not quite was I was anticipating from reviews and the price. Staff were very friendly though.

Everything was very clean. Great shower, really powerful & plenty of hot water. Nice toiletries from The White Company. Hairdryer was missing from my room but was promptly supplied when reception was alerted. Breakfast is buffet style, lots of attentive staff refreshing the buffet. I have stayed before and recommended this hotel to others.

The breakfast was great. The reception staffs were lovely, good customer service. The toilet/shower was clean but I was grossed out by the bedsheets. Found a couple hair on the bedsheet and specs of dust, it just didn’t look it was clean. Didnt really sleep well because of it.

The bathroom was beautiful and the White Company toiletries a treat. We chose the hotel because of the easy links to Wembley Stadium as Baker Street Station and Marylebone were in easy walking distance. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of cereals, yoghurt and fruit and a cooked option as well. Overall, a great stay! We would definitely stop again.

Stained carpets in room, broken window latch, telephone not working. Small room for the proce tag (by London standards).Quiet at the back so slept well.

Lovely hotel in a great place, so near to Baker Street station for convience. Clean throughout and shower was lovely. Also breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold. Will be definitely booking here again

I would say the doors closed noisily and some floor board creeky. So if you wanted a lie in or a very early night, take ear plugs. Overall a very nice little hotel, i would definitely use again for budget yet nicer than a premier in.

The service, room and everything about the hotel was really great, however the room was the size of a shoe-box. So small that the the obligatory desk at the end of the desk was so close that the chair wasn’t able to be pulled out from under the desk, there was literally 12 inches between the desk and bed was unacceptable.

Decent location. Very small rooms that are a bit strange. For example the tap in the bathroom sink is so far back that you can’t hold your hands under the water and water goes all over counter. Also the curtains are not installed well. So when closed there is still a lot of light coming into the room. The breakfast is excellent

This hotel was in an excellent location - a very short walk from the Baker Street tube station with many shops and amenities in Paddington and Marylebone within close walking distance. Our triple room on the ground floor had three single beds and the room itself was quite small. There wasn’t much room to navigate and we had to put our luggage on the bed to unpack. The room had a closet with storage and a small desk, but it was a tight fit for three people. The bathroom in our room was quite large with a nice shower. The room had A/C so the temperature was comfortable (but the thermostat would only go down to 19C). The English breakfast was nice - there were eggs, ham, sausages, beans, tomatoes and a variety of cereal, pastries and yogurt.

Twin room was a nice size and great bathroom.

The room was very small and the TV was at odd angle for watching TV in bed

Loved the Blandford. Clean, friendly and wonderful location near lots of restaurants and Shops. Close to subway and buses. Jo and Sabrina were very helpful and helped us with transportation and recommendations. Nice morning breakfast too!

The staff is very attentive. Especially Mahesh & Antonio!. Housekeeping and the breakfast staff are commendable as well. The elevator is very small, however we never had any issues. Just had to make 2 trips to get 2 pieces of medium luggage up to the room & back down. Antonia was so helpful in moving oir luggage when we had a room. Change . Very safe area Chiltern Street in Marylebone. I highly recommend The Blandford Hotel for your London stay!

I chose the Blandford Hotel for its convenient location, as it was close to where I needed to be over a two-day stay. Check-in was smooth, and the room was reasonably clean. However, the temperature control in the room was unreliable. It fluctuated between too hot and too cold, which made it difficult to get a restful night’s sleep. The real disappointment came after my stay. I accidentally left an item behind and contacted the hotel to see if they could check for it. Unfortunately, the staff were unhelpful and showed little interest in assisting. They said they would follow up, but I never heard back. This lack of basic customer service left a poor impression and is the main reason for the lower rating.

Staff were not very welcoming on arrival and walked away from the desk when they saw us come in. Room had stains on the wall and not well maintained. Positive note is the breakfast was good and the location also good. Shower was very good but overall the rooms were small and not the cleanest.

The facilities are very good and super clean. The staff are also very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will consider to revisit it next time when we visit London.

Location is brilliant. Hotel is quiet and clean, with friendly staff. Rooms are smallish, but it’s London and I think perfect for a short stay. A really comfortable bed, all amenities you could possibly need (hairdryer, ironing board, safe, fridge, robes etc). Walking distance to restaurants and bars, the tube station is at the end of the street, and only a 10 min walk to selfridges. Our second time staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again. It’s my go to hotel in London. Really lovely and decent price. Breakfast is complimentary, and whilst I think it could be slightly better, there’s plenty of choice and a coffee machine etc, and it’s free, so no complaints.

Great location, perfect for walking distance access to many things. I was in a ground floor room which was attached to reception, it didn't feel very private and there was a fair amount of noise from reception. The room itself was good and had all you need. Comfortable bed. On my first evening the drinks / coffee bit was half full/ used up which was a bit annoying. The breakfast is OK, nothing to write home about. Eggs were all over done - would have been nicer fresher. Nice sausages. I would stay again.

Basic hotel in great location just yards from Baler Street. Room simple and cheaply furnished but clean enough. Breakfast pretty awful - save money and go out to nearby cafes instead.

The hotel was well positioned for the area we wanted to be in and surrounded by restaurants. A bit noisy as we could hear walking above our room. Breakfast was below average with some dried eggs.
