The hotel was convenient for transport options and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the hotel bar was closed and there was no in house dining available apart from take-away services. My single room was tiny, there was no conditioner or body lotion provided and anyone much larger than me would have had trouble getting in and out of the shower cubicle.

The hotel is a resident converted into a hotel, challenging to go up steps and narrow hallways to get to your room. The air conditioner thermostat was broken and the staff would not fix it. Rooms above us transmit every sound, and sleeping is tough when the neighbors are still awake. The front entrance parking lot is dirty with cigarette butt and garbage.

I’ve been to London a total of 5 times in the past year. My travel companion and I decided to book single rooms here since it was a great price and the pictures made it seem decent enough since we would only be there to sleep. Well even just being there to sleep was a bad experience. The room smelt absolutely terrible, like sewage. Upon walking into the room the first night it was hot and smelly. You couldn’t open the window enough to get a breeze and asking the front desk if there were any other rooms I could moved to they said no without even checking, I asked if at a minimum they could give me a disinfectant spray and was given glade air freshener which needed to be resprayed every hour for the smell to be tolerable. I figured out the smell was coming from the drains so they definitely need to do something about that. The next day after coming back to the room it felt like a sauna and that’s when I realized the AC was set to heater and I could not change it, I had to call the front desk and they had to remotely change it to the AC mode instead of heat. It took approx 15 min and I had to call back and check if they had actually done it because I was sitting in the smelly room sweating. The shower water pressure was absolutely non existent. The water was a slow dribble and I would have had a better shower just by using the bathroom sink if the sink was bigger. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially room M-5.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights in London during the New Year period, as part of our honeymoon, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. For three days of our stay, we had serious problems with the water supply in the bathroom. On two days, the shower only had a very weak drip of water, making it impossible to shower properly. On one day, there was no water at all, neither in the shower nor in the sink. Considering it was winter and very cold, not being able to shower was extremely uncomfortable. I booked a single room (M2) for single occupancy and paid £115 for one night. The room was very small indeed (upstairs, no lift access) and extremely noisy (flowing water noise from air con’ or something all night until it suddenly went quiet just after 6am). Temperature in the room was too warm and difficult to regulate with the a/c fan in the room. (Staff clearly aware, as they had left the window open when I arrived). The phone in the room was not functional. Maintenance staff said they would replace it, but they didn’t. (I had to call reception using my mobile phone). Bathroom tiny and drains unpleasant smelling. Shower cubicle tiny and shower not constant in terms of water pressure or temperature. (I had to cajole it into action and had no confidence in it).

This hotel is reasonably priced and is located on a charming block in Paddington, London. It is not handicap accessible as does have three steps to access the front door. It has very tiny rooms, soft mattresses, little or no furniture. We had a chair in the corner. To be fair, i do not know if other rooms were similar. Our friends who were also staying there, were offered rooms with stairs even though my buddy declared he had difficulty managing stairs. The bathroom was incredibly small and very difficult to maneuver in. We inquired about and booked two days of the buffet breakfast. They required payment with the booking. That is not a practice, I have seen anywhere else. The breakfast was just ok, with enough choices to get your day going. Coffee was awfully weak. We arrived about midday and they had our room ready even though check in time was 3pm. That was a blessing to get our luggage unpacked after traveling all night. Our friends had use of a hospitality room for their things. They seem to cram in as many patrons as possible without considering their comfort. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. We had single rooms which are small but had very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The full English breakfast was very good value with a great choice. All the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area very close to Paddington station. We would certainly book again if visiting London.

Rummet var okej standard för den prisklassen, vi letade inte efter något extravagant utan en plats att sova bekvämt. Sängarna var bra, det städades och bäddades varje dag vilket är ett plus. Dock var det inte lika fräscht på golvet då heltäckningsmattan i rummet hade behövt en extra dammsugning. Badrummet var fräscht men handdukarna kunde vara fläckiga. Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående. Ett bra hotell att sova på eftersom det var mycket nära till Paddington stationen.

The Park Grand Hyde Park was good enough for one night to catch the early train back to Heathrow. Although the staff was kind and helpful, I would probably not stay there again, especially if I had longer to stay. The room was very small. It was clean enough but maybe not deeply cleaned. When I got there the window was open and had no latch to lock it. It’s a shame these things weren’t up to par because it was really conveniently located to Paddington Station, and with some maintenance and cleaning could be much better.

The reception staff couldn’t find my Expedia booking and made me wait for 30 mins whilst they “integrated the booking”. The AC above my bed was covered in cobwebs. The room was tidied and fresh towels put down everyday but not sure if it was vacuumed as there was a scabby-looking thing near my door that didn’t move throughout my stay until I picked it up and threw it in the bin.

Room was clean, all items needed were there such as hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities but it’s the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. We had to lean back or forward to walk around the bottom of the bed as there was only a small amount of room to squeeze past the TV on the wall at the bottom of the bed. Curtains were quite dated but they blocked the sun out so managed a lie in on both mornings.

My room was very tiny, with just enough room for a twin bed and no room for luggage. The ventilation unit was noisy, and it was not possible to turn it off to eliminate the noise. The room was somewhat dingy and worn, but clean.

Fantastic location, right near Paddington Station. Very quiet overnight as kittle traffic. Room was smaller than I expected but still nice. Silly I know but had to sleep the wrong side of the bed due to lack of plug sockets.

I took a "deluxe single room" in December (outside temperature was low 40sF. TINY room, poorly laid out. No nightstand, no room to use the luggage rack provided, closet door hung to open the wrong way so nearly impossible to use. The "twin bed" was the narrowest, shortest twin I've every seen--feet hung over the end, (I am 5'5" tall) and the comforter was so tiny and thin that if you laid on your side, it left gaps. Room was in the basement and the hallways and room were freezing. It took HOURS for the tiny room to heat. It was clean, good soap/shampoo products. They could really step up their game with some small improvements if you can tolerate the cell-like size of the rooms. Suggest that you stay at the Athena instead--better beds/bedding, better layout, better breakfasts.

Room was clean, all items needed were there such as hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities but it’s the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. We had to lean back or forward to walk around the bottom of the bed as there was only a small amount of room to squeeze past the TV on the wall at the bottom of the bed. Curtains were quite dated but they blocked the sun out so managed a lie in on both mornings.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights in London during the New Year period, as part of our honeymoon, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. For three days of our stay, we had serious problems with the water supply in the bathroom. On two days, the shower only had a very weak drip of water, making it impossible to shower properly. On one day, there was no water at all, neither in the shower nor in the sink. Considering it was winter and very cold, not being able to shower was extremely uncomfortable. On one of those days, my husband went for a run around the city and came back to the hotel unable to shower due to the lack of water. We tried calling the reception several times, but no one ever answered the phone. Every time we had to go downstairs in person to complain. Although the staff apologized, they could not explain the problem or give any estimate of when it would be fixed. For a stay that was meant to be special, this situation was unacceptable and significantly affected our experience. Based on our stay, I would not recommend this hotel, especially during busy periods like New Year, as basic services were unreliable and support was ineffective.

When we arrived, several hours before check-in time, we were not only given a room immediately, but upgraded to a loft suite with balcony! When the friendly agent at the front desk overheard us talking about our difficulty ordering express railroad tickets to Heathrow, she said that she could order those for us.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. We had single rooms which are small but had very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The full English breakfast was very good value with a great choice. All the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area very close to Paddington station. We would certainly book again if visiting London.

The hotel was convenient for transport options and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the hotel bar was closed and there was no in house dining available apart from take-away services. My single room was tiny, there was no conditioner or body lotion provided and anyone much larger than me would have had trouble getting in and out of the shower cubicle.

Hotel was well marketed however was disappointing in reality. The room although a good size was very tired and in need of a deep clean. The bed however was very comfortable. Shower was powerful but towels the size of a postage stamp! Breakfast was disorganised. Multiple staff but nobody paying any attention to guests. Had to ask for a table to be cleared. Saw a member of staff being openly reprimanded by another member of staff in the middle of the restuarant which made us feel uncomfortable. Overall okay but not worth the money.

The hotel was tucked away from the busy roads which was nice. The receptionist who booked us in was lovely. The problem was the bright lighting which came through under the door and the room was very bright all night long so we could hardly have a good sleep. We could also hear the noises from the corridor. We tried the first and the second day to make tea or coffee and the milk was expired and lumpy. We were surprised by that. The bath towels were very small and the bathroom door will not close properly.

The location was perfect…walking distance to Paddington Station was a must when looking for a hotel and Park Grand is perfectly placed for that! We added breakfast to our reservation and I am so glad we did because it was delicious and the staff so accommodating!! Our room suited us and met our needs…very clean and plenty of space for us! The bathroom is small but I knew that when I booked and it was not a problem at all! I will definitely book again!!

This hotel is reasonably priced and is located on a charming block in Paddington, London. It is not handicap accessible as does have three steps to access the front door. It has very tiny rooms, soft mattresses, little or no furniture. We had a chair in the corner. To be fair, i do not know if other rooms were similar. Our friends who were also staying there, were offered rooms with stairs even though my buddy declared he had difficulty managing stairs. The bathroom was incredibly small and very difficult to maneuver in. We inquired about and booked two days of the buffet breakfast. They required payment with the booking. That is not a practice, I have seen anywhere else. The breakfast was just ok, with enough choices to get your day going. Coffee was awfully weak. We arrived about midday and they had our room ready even though check in time was 3pm. That was a blessing to get our luggage unpacked after traveling all night. Our friends had use of a hospitality room for their things. They seem to cram in as many patrons as possible without considering their comfort. I would not recommend this hotel.

Our room was clean, cool, and just barely big enough for two small people--the trouble is that I'm 6'5" tall and 200 lbs. The bed was so narrow that I woke my wife each time I turned over! The rest of our stay was great. And it is very close to Paddington Station, with easy access to/from LHR airport.
