Came back from watching a show around 11pm and went for a drink in the bar. We were told the bar had shut for the evening, staff said because “it was a back holiday” - looking on the information in the room it said the bar shuts at 11.30pm, rather disappointing for an international hotel, when guests are in a hotel they should be able to have a drink pass 11pm

The location is great if you are working or playing in the city center. A couple of blocks from the tube, nice restaurants near. Staff is great and friendly. Cons: The room was super chilly. Near 0C outside, and couldn't keep the heat in. No one big thing wrong with the room but lots of little things. Soaps are difficult to rinse, super shallow sink, half-door on shower, and glass shower door as a bathroom door. Gym was small and one of the two treadmills didn't work. They had construction going on. Had I know prior, I may have booked elsewhere.

Victor and the team made our stay absolutely magical. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with spacious rooms, wonderful breakfasts, friendly staff (shout out to Jason and his impromptu cocktail class) and just a few steps from the tube. Can’t wait to return!

The hotel location is good, but the hotel is missing essential facilities like the fridge in the room. The TV Chromecast was not working and was down for almost 24 hours. The AC was not good as well. I will not come again and I don’t recommend any one to visit them else they fix all issues

Friendly staff and a beautiful room with lots of space! Room was right by the lift so only minor disruption from the noise of other guests at times. Cleaned to a high standard and a comfortable nights sleep!

The property had a lovely reception area and staff were really nice. The room was a little tired, there were a couple of marks on the sheets, the carpet stained and some of the furniture. The panel for the plugs came away from the wall a little when you unplugged your items which didn't seem terribly safe. Had to move rooms from the first room as not all rooms have a window..... for how much it was I would have thought a window would have been as standard even a tiny one! I have stayed in several other Malmaison's and they were significantly nicer so this doesn't reflect the brand fully.

We enjoyed our stay at the Malmaison Charterhouse Square very much. Staff was uniformly helpful and cheerful, our room on the 6th floor was quiet and comfortable (especially the not-too-soft, not-too-hard bed), and all the facilities were spotless and well appointed. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant as well. Lots of little extras, like tea- and coffee-making facilities, biscuits, and lovely toiletries, plus quirky decor details made the stay especially nice.

Very warm welcome on arrival, given room 105 which was on the first floor directly over the front doors.Room looked lovely on first impression came with all the extras you’d expect with a delux room . That’s the pros , the cons a couple of times in the early hours someone decided to empty bottles into the recycling bin and numerous deliveries were made directly under my window through the night complete with reversing beeps and hydraulic platforms raising & lowering added to that this made the fact that the mattress was really quite hard …..overall maybe I was just unlucky with the location of my room but I was disappointed for the price I paid

Great hotel at a good price for London. Was disappointed that the fridges had been removed from the room, but apart from that the room size was great. The bathroom was massive but the taps twist the wrong way which was a bit disconcerting!

The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of buffet/continental options and individually cooked dishes made to order. The hotel location is excellent, just round the corner from Farringdon tube which offers excellent tube/Thamelink services. Hotel is fairly small but more than adequate. The rooms are well furnished but the showers in both our rooms were a shambles! Impossible to get to e decent temperature and for a large shower head the power was a joke!! Really need changing. Left us with a bad experience.

Rooms clean and tidy, front of house staff in need of training and some help. Reception when we arrived was over run and they didnt really know what was happening. Restaurant and bar was good. Wouldnt stay again, would look elsewhere as didnt have the personal touch

Fantastic hotel and location Fantastic Hotel.We stayed for 2 night’s to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday and couldn’t fault a thing.The staff were incredible, polite , helpful and very informative.They decorated my daughter’s room with balloons , card and even a cake which she loved, and these little touches make all the difference.Rooms were as per the images on the website , clean , comfortable with everything you needed.Breakfast was really tasty and plenty of choice.Location was perfect for all the attractions and the centre of London.A 5 minute walk to Farringdon station and only a 2 minute walk to Barbican station. We drove down from the Midlands and even managed to park the car right outside the hotel , but these spaces are limited so would advise you call when an hour or so away.Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely by back the next time we pay a visit to London 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From check in to check out the service was excellent. The lady on reception was a little stressed as I think it had been a busy morning. We left our bags as we arrived early. We had booked for 2 nights but under separate bookings. On check in the lady was very helpful and for an additional £10 we were able to keep the same room for both nights. The room is one of the best we’ve stayed in at Malmaison as it was in a quiet area and we didn’t hear anything. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. Look forward to visiting again

My husband was in St Barthomolews for heart surgery and the care from the staff at Malmaison was beyond amazing. The Reception and the bar manager were so supportive and will never forget this. We will definitely return yo stay, when we come back to London for his check ups. Thank you

A great hotel- in a perfect location. We had 2 tube stations nearby and were able to get almost anywhere in London from there. The hotel is next door to the charterhouse and across form a park- so it is really wonderful and quiet at night. the room was great, clean and all the features you could need. Would recommend and stay there again.

Loved this hotel, only a few minutes walk away from the tube station but such a nice quiet area and easy to forget you were in London! Staff very friendly especially Victor and breakfast in the hotel was lovely, but a bit expensive. Can walk to St Paul’s Cathedral from here and the Millenium bridge. Would definitely stay here again.

Property & room were actually pretty nice. The metro station is 1/2 block w lots of vagrants wandering around. While walking to the nearest store (1/2 mile & closed) we witnessed a driver & pedestrian (& husband) get into a screaming match that escalated into men bumping chests screaming obscenities while the woman had to be subdued while kicking & screaming obscenities. Just that creepy vibe you get when you think bullets are about to start flying! It was also over an hour from the airport. No decent restaurants nearby & it didn’t feel particularly safe walking anyway. Only convenient for business people wanting to work 24/7. Victor was very nice, restaurant staff were very nice & blonde German girl who checked us in was very combative & abrasive. We didn’t consider this a particularly good or safe neighborhood outside the hotel & will definitely never stay there again.

Typical service from the Malmasion hotel chain; poor customer service when checking out. I stayed at this hotel for five nights and during my stay the service was satisfactory. When I checked-out I asked for a VAT receipt but it was too much trouble for the receptionist. The rooms are good but rather small. Avoid breakfast, I tried a full English (veggie) and the sausages are disgusting and the spinach was over cooked - every day! Eggs benedict - no flavour and very stodgy. Salmon and eggs - gave me an upset stomach. Every time I had Salmon from the restaurant I was ill. If you order a full-cooked (non-veggie) breakfast you do not get real sausages; they only offer veggie sausages and they are extremely bland and stodgy. The hotel is over-priced and considering breakfast is £27 - it's simply over-priced and flavourless. I won't be returning!
