Would have been nice to not be put on a floor that is under renovation with literally wet concrete that we had to step onto to get to our room. This was the most expensive room we got in Europe at over $500 US so very disappointed. I will say the location was very good to walk to things and the staff was very helpful

The area was fantastic. Within 5 minutes we were in Westminster, and within 15-20 we were downtown. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and the staff was super friendly.

Stayed here with the kids over Christmas and we had a lovely time. Facilities were clean and everything worked perfectly including the shower, fridge and chrome cast on the TV which made our stay much more comfortable than we’ve been at some other well known hotels. Room service was completed daily. Parking was easy to pre-book, plus it’s secured underground. The location was really good as the kids and I took frequent short walks and getting into the main tourist areas of central London was just two or three bus stops away. The whole experience was just stress free and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit London.

Nice property, lift being out of action created annoyance with long waits and walking past dirty trays left outside of doors was a little annoying. Watching a member of staff pour wine back in to a bottle from a glass as they had measured a large and not a small was a little worrying. Other than that it was very nice.

Bed mattress too hard. One elevator not working so only one elevator working, horrible experience. Front desk agent offered and mentioned free breakfast included, confirmed twice and later they charged it. That stealing money. I escalated to supervisor and no action.

This hotel was exceptional. Very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Location of this hotel is very convenient. It is very close (walkable) to many London sites but not in the busy tourist areas. Highly recommend.

I personally would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The room had stained carpet and was just okay. It definitely needs to be upgraded. In my opinion it reflects more of a 3 star hotel.

The carpet rugs both inside and outside the rooms are dirty. The carpet inside our room was smelly and with stains. The cleaning staff do a terrible staff because there were dark stains on the faucet and never got corrected even after two days. Overall I believe this place is run like a 2-star hotel. My allergies got worse inhaling dirty allergens.

The location of the hotel is good. Breakfast is average, sometimes with waiting times until a table becomes available. Our room wasn't particularly good. Window with a view of a house wall, carpet dirty, the toilet was blocked twice in 3 days. Luckily we were only here to sleep. I wouldn't choose this hotel a second time.

It was a comfortable stay and the breakfast staff were very friendly. However check in was very poor and took a very long time. We were also given the wrong floor number. Having checked in online as instructed to do so, I was hoping for a quicker check in process. Perhaps it was a lack of staff? The lady did seem stressed. The shower wasn’t particularly clean either.

The hotel hallway was not in condition it has water damage and the wallpaper was falling or damaged. Looks run down. In addition they never refilled the shower gel or other bathroom products.

Not bad, as compared to the bigger hotels on the other side of the river. Hotel in dire need of updates and/or renovation. Rooms very worn. Separated toilet from shower room makes no sense.

Good location, booked a room with 2 beds, came with 1 bed and 1 small couch that converts to a bed. Know that the shower is glass that can be seen right through from room, also the sink is directly in the main room. Fortunately the manager upgraded me to a room with normal bathroom. Thanks! Restaurant is dark and not always open.

The only issue was the bathroom configuration: there is no separate bathroom. Both shower and toilet are in the bedroom and sink too. As a result, the toilet has no proper door, it has a thin mirror in its stead which is not acoustically designed to give any privacy. The shower is also very intrusive. Surrounded by see-through (both ways) mirrors all the way around, you literally have no privacy from anyone else in the room whilst showering as you can be seen from any angle in the bedroom. Unless you shower in complete darkness, which you might end up doing if the other person is still sleeping and you don’t want to flood the bedroom and bathroom with light. For us it was not a major issue but it would definitely make us think twice about booking there again.

Unfortunately, I was unable to visit the Novotel London Waterloo due to an unforeseen fire at the airport that prevented me from flying. Despite the situation being entirely out of my control, the hotel handled it poorly and showed no understanding or flexibility. They refused to issue a refund, disregarding the exceptional circumstances. Based on this disappointing experience, I would rate the hotel zero stars. If you're planning a trip to London, I strongly recommend considering other accommodations.

Firat time out of Canada and we felt at home. Super friendly staff and just an amzing experience. My next trip i would stay there again in a heart beat.only downfall was everything was card and it ended up costing me more for.meals but thats not Novotels fault. Best experience. Will miss the staff. Wish i had gitten back early enough to say goodbye to the staff vecause they were just amazing.

Very disappointed in this hotel, as we were not able to travel to London because Heathrow Airport closed and our flight was redirected. They would offer any solution to accommodate this incident that was completely out of our control. They would not refund or issue a credit. Will not be staying here when we are able to get to London.

The staff of the Novotel London Waterloo are amazing. They provided such excellent service when one of the members of our group was not feeling well. Those extra caring touches meant a lot during a somewhat stressful time. Great location as well. Would certainly stay here again.

During check in it wasn't explained that the card needed to be put in the wall for the lights to come on. So after a long day and it was dark we had to wait for someone to come show us. When they did it took 10 mins or more for them to catch on. £21 for a breakfast was extortionate. When ordering a coffee on a separate morning the staff member wasn't friendly at all. Finally when I tried to check out the woman at the counter ignored me and took someone else when I was clearly waiting. Then the taxi ordered wasn't big enough despite knowing we had many suitcases and not from the country.

It was nice to go on foot to Westminster, Big Ben and Tate Britain.. The night view on Westminster Palace and Big Ben is marvellous! Easy access to busses (2 minutes) and Unterground (15 minutes).

Location is perfect for sightseeing catching a bus. The hotel seemed to beunderstaffed, but friendly. The bar and restaurant close too early in the evening. The rooms are clean. The morning guest breakfast is pricey and crowded and again, closes early.. so get up early if you plan on eating.

Location was great. Nice staff and clean property. Rooms could have better ventilation and better design and functionality . Electrical outlets are insufficient and there aren’t enough places to hang towels or leave things. For a small room finding functionality to maximize space is key. Restaurant food is good and the breakfast buffet is convenient.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We had never been to London and didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is SUPERB! Very kind and helpful. No concierge, but they are willing to help. Location is nice. A bus stop is right outside. There is also a convenience store within a 5 minute walk. Now for the down side - the restaurant is not good. At all. Eat somewhere else if you can. Bring food for breakfast. There aren’t any options near the hotel. And - the temperature in our room - we could not get it cool enough. There seems to be a lock that does not permit you to cool the room down below a certain temperature.

Stayed for two nights in a family room. Good value for a pretty central location in London and easy to access from the tube station at Lambeth North. Staff were friendly, everything was clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent. The only slight downside was buying dinner one night and it was about £30 more than expected. We made sure we found somewhere else the following night. I will say the food was good though so not all bad!
