There is nothing Royal about the Royal Lancaster Hotel anymore. It is over rated and over priced. The service by the staff in many areas was dreadful. Check in took nearly 30 minutes. The room towels were dirty. An omelette ordered at breakfast in an uncrowded restaurant took well over 30 minutes. The bar staff never bothered to bring a snacks menu or ask for a secondary drink order. A guest immediately feels as though one could cook and poor drinks with much greater efficiency than the staff we are paying for to perform these tasks.

We really were comfortable at the Royal Lancaster. The room was very new and clean. We had a great view as the entire exterior wall was windowed. The staff were polite, courteous, and very professional. The Hyde Bar was great. I enjoyed the bartenders and servers company very much. The hotel is adjacent to Hyde Park and a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station. There is a Tube Station right beside the hotel. This hotel was an outstanding choice for us. We will certainly book here on our next trip to London.

Fantastic stay - beautiful Park Suite with wonderful views of Hyde Park. Close to Lancaster Gate tube station as well, making it extremely convenient to get around London. Gym is a great addition also, including a Peleton and Technogym treadmills! We will be returning in the future. Staff are incredibly friendly and will assist in any way they can with your needs! Thank you to the Royal Lancaster Hotel team!

Thoroughly impressed with the property, beautiful rooms, fast elevators, nice restaurants, convenient to double decker buses, hop on and hop off buses, and subway just steps away. This is the place to stay in London if you are coming for holiday or business.

This is a beautiful property right across from the magnificent Hyde Park. The tube and bus stop are just round the corner. The staff’s friendliness and attention to detail is superb. We also enjoyed an incredible view of the city from our comfortable bedroom. The room was extremely clean. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee and biscuits in our room.

Everything very clean. Pillows one was very flat two was too high. Heating system was blowing directly at the couch sitting direction. Some days there was no bottled water and enough English breakfast and earl grey tea. Toilet flush very stiff difficult to flush. Shower door hard to open. Thank you

The air conditioning in the room was simy insufficient to deal with the high temps outside. We weren't sure it was working properly in the first place as it was as low temp and high fan as could be set and didn't seem to be blowing cold air. We called the front desk and a maintenance man came up to look, cleaned the filter, and got us a fan, but that really didn't help all that much and it was still uncomfortably warm our first 2 nights until the outside temp dropped a bit, even after we left the window blinds dhut with the AC on while we were out during the day. Between that and the bed being rather hard (and pillows a bit flat) we were waking up throughout the night. That aside the room was a very nice size and in nice condition, though the bathroom was quite small and the toilet paper was also unexpectedly rough and lower quality than i would have expected based on the rest of the room/hotel. But given that we had a couple of rather uncomfortable nights due to insufficient AC I can't say that we're likely to return, despite otherwise liking the hotel, room size, and convenient location right above a tube stop next to the park.

Loved our stay at the Lancaster. Modern, clean and helpful staff. We had a corner room so very bright. Loved the motorized shades in room and bathroom. Bathroom is small but functional and well appointed. Plenty of space in the room. Bed was comfortable and very nice linens. Staff was accommodating to our few needs and concierge was great. We loved the breakfast each morning, many options and great room with nice views of the park. We also enjoyed afternoon Tea which was lovely. Will come back to the Lancaster when we return to London next.

The room was extremely small — not suitable for travelers with large suitcases. There was no space in the closet to store them, and I found myself constantly tripping over my luggage, which caused a lot of discomfort during my stay. While the staff were friendly and the cleanliness was excellent, this was by far the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in across the UK and Europe. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re traveling with more than a carry-on.

It is in a quiet location but next to buses and the Tube, with Paddington Station a few blocks away, so it's easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is directly opposite, but you may only get that view with upgraded rooms. I would rather stay here than in more expensive hotels on Park Lane and Mayfair, as they are on busy roads and the traffic is horrendous. The regular rooms are small, with limited storage and closet space. You have to upgrade to get more space and storage. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. My stay went very smoothly.

A beautiful hotel - we loved our Executive Room which was very large and comfy, and had a lovely view of the city skyline. Sebastian, the concierge, was outstanding! A true professional - he answered all of our questions, going above and beyond to assist every day. Only downside- there are no eateries near the hotel - fortunately there is a good breakfast buffet at the hotel.

Crazy amazing property! Quiet quaint area just on the north edge of Hyde Park. The staff were incredible and the rooms were nice. If I were to give any downsides: the rooms were a bit small (but still very nice), and they put us on a smoking floor (I didn’t realize that’s a thing still). But, still, everything else outweighed it!

Accidentally booked the wrong date by a day(sometimes when looking at properties if you hit the back button it will revert dates to a previous booking) and I IMMEDIATELY—as in less than 60 seconds—made them aware and even offered to upgrade the room to make it worth their time, they absolutely refused to work with me in any way, shape, or form. No one I talked to would offer any help besides “we can add an addition day, but we will not refund or move that booking.” If this is the way they conduct business, can’t imagine they are honest in any other ways.

Luxury hotels can sometimes be uptight and stiff. The facilities and staff at the Royal Lancaster make guests feel welcome and at home, albeit a 5 star luxury home. I was there on an emergency visit to help my brother whose wife died while they were on vacation. The hotel staff bent over backwards to help us. Their efforts mitigated my brother's grief and greatly helped him tend to the matters he had to address even while he mourned. If I could give this hotel 6 stars i would.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Lancaster and the service from all the staff was exceptional. We were able to check in early and as my wife is a wheelchair user, they kindly gave us a complimentary upgrade, so there was more space.

In a very convenient location. Reception staff were very helpful. Did ask for some extra teabags and milk sachets for the room but didn’t receive any. At breakfast we were not made aware of a menu. Therefore I used the buffet English breakfast which was cold. When rest of our party arrived for breakfast, they were given a menu. Also no decaf tea. For a five star hotel these are quite basic expectations.

My wife and I stayed for one night and there is literally nothing that could have been done to make the stay better. After contacting a reservation agent a few days in advance about an earlier check-in time, we were able to check-in a couple of hours early since our flight was arriving in the morning. The agent informed us that this was not guaranteed but they made every effort to accommodate us and thankfully the room was ready. This made a massive difference in our trip and experience at the hotel. I would not have faulted them if the room was not ready, but the extra effort was noticed and much appreciated. The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was clean, visually attractive, modern, and comfortable. There was complimentary water and snacks provided in the room and the bed was great. After checking out, the front desk held our bags until we could retrieve them after the London Marathon. Every staff member that we spoke to was pleasant and helpful. To sum it all up, the experience and stay were 10/10 and we will definitely plan to stay here upon our next visit to London.

Located across the street from Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. So, has a great location. Lot to see. The staff was super helpful and friendly. This was by far our favorite hotel on our trip. The breakfast buffet was very good. There are also many good restaurants near the hotel. Then tube station is located close by. No ATM on site but within walking distance.

Good hotel in a great area for walking around Hyde park or shopping along Oxford street. Lancaster gate tube station underneath was a real plus too. The prompt room service and tasty food that came with it was also a selling point. Only shortfall we found was the limited options for food choices at breakfast as two individuals with specific dietary requirements. Also cost for breakfast is a little exoensive so food out nearby is probably cheaper; we did this on two days over our stay.

Great family friendly hotel! The staff were very accommodating and brilliant with our daughter. The breakfast was the only thing that slightly let it down, things seemed to always be running low and it would be a long wait for the items to come back out. We saw others ordering from a la Carte but this was never offered to us, it would have been much easier for us as we wouldn’t have had to leave our toddler at the table.
