The hotel was in a convenient area for the Natural History Museum and the V&A. Very friendly staff, nice area, quiet and well kept. Disappointing things were the breakfast (not very appetising), the heat in the room (we stayed in winter, fan was provided) and the lack of a bar in the hotel.

When I arrived at reception to check in, I was informed that the lift was out of order. I was also told that my room was on the top floor (4th floor and 8 flights of stairs). I pointed out that I had two hip replacements and required a room on the ground floor if possible. They were unable to change my room. Apparently, the lift had been out of order for a few days, even when I made the booking. As I pointed out, why wasn't I informed of the lift situation before arriving at the hotel. I could have then booked at another hotel. For all they knew, I could have been disabled and unable to climb 8 flights of stairs. The hotel was obviously more interested in getting my money rather than the welfare of its guests.

I had a nice stay here. The room I was in was quiet with the exception of one night when noise carried from the patio below, which is important to me as a light sleeper. Area is nice and convenient, less than 15 min walk to a train station with lifts and direct access to Heathrow and about the same to the V&A and Natural History Museums as well as Kensington Gardens. Only knocks were that the gym facilities were really lacking (3 machines and 1 was broken) and the layout means there’s no direct lift access to some rooms. I carried a heavy bag down a flight of stairs which was difficult so if you have accessibility issues, you should let them know so they can accommodate you. Overall wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I has stayed at this proporty in 2003 that was a nice boutique hotel. I made the mistake and came back to this propoerty on May 4 to find out that it ius run down, the hallways small , the carepoert in the room was stained and looked like had been cleaned many times, the windows do not close are the window handels are almost broiken, the towels are so work out , there is not even a small holder to put soap next the sink, the bathroom floors look dirty with cracks in the tiles. I can go on and on . When I told the front desk about all my issues they said they cannot change my room . What a waste . Will never go there. Trust me I travle a lot and had just stayed in nine hotels using Expedia booking and non of the hotels with the 4 to five star ranking had this proble. DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

The room was very warm at night, so we turned the cooling on and left for the day, hoping it would be cool when we returned for the evening. We returned to an oven! We were told at the front desk that the cooling was seasonal and we only had heating available in the room, so the best we could do was open the window, which only opened about 4 inches.....not enough to cool the room over night but enough to let the noise in and keep us awake all night!

The rooms are large and well appointed. The beds are hard but very comfortable. Everything you need is there in a small boutique hotel. We stayed there previously and found it to be a wonderful value. Located in south Kensington, it is a short walk to the Gloster Rd. tube station. Very quiet neighborhood.

Room 305. Air con not working even though the room was advertised as having air con. The room was right next to the lift which was in use all night. Bed was very uncomfortable, old mattress which dipped in the middle and could feel the springs. We stayed here as we had a family wedding over the weekend. We didn't have the rest we needed for the following day.

The room price is relatively ok. If your on the back side of the hotel, it's pretty quiet. The front side has noise at all hours from people talking after midnight to glass bottles being emptied out at 5:00 a.m. Also, you can hear emergency vehicles on Cromwell. Some rooms are a little newer, but we had newish one where the air conditioner did not work, but had a portable one, which worked ok (it was not extremely hot, so it kept us cool at least). It had a pipe going to the window, but there was a huge gap between the window and pipe flashing to the outside. When it was cool, the room felt kind of cold due to the big gap in the flashing. The breakfast at the restaurant was way too expensive for what you got.

Checking in was rough due to hotel sold out and the reservation we made many months ago didn’t exist. After the first day, we were moved in a better room with elevator and cleaning services every day. Gym was minimal, the restaurant partner was mediocre. Location was good, close to tube station with popular lines. Internet was weak. Overall, good price, good location, good cleaning. Everything else was not impressive

The staff was very accommodating & helpful. This location was great for the walkable area & proximity to a main tube line. Very easy to navigate the area. The room had a wonderful larger bathroom & was clean, with a safe & accommodations. I would stay again.

We could not have been happier with this hotel choice. Yes, the hotel could use some sprucing up. However, the location was wonderful. Walking distance to the tube, easy to grab a taxi or a bus. And, of course, what makes any service-oriented business special are the staff. The staff could not have been friendlier, more willing to help, and pleasant.

The man at the desk when we arrived was not very friendly, it seemed like we were bothering him. The only nice thing he did for us was the first room we had the air conditioning would not work. The man at the desk did give us another room. The same man was at the desk for checkout, he again was very unfriendly. He did not ask how our stay was or even thank us for staying. The other people at the desk were very friendly.

After a few snafus during check in, everything else was excellent. Cedric was going above and beyond to help situate the issues and make them right. Everyone at reception desk provided the best service and answered any questions relating to food recommendations, directions etc. The hotel is very close to both the Earl's Court and Gloucester tube stations. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. I can also mention as a woman traveling solo, i felt the area was safe. Even at night when i would walk to local gorcery store Sainsburys. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again

We stayed for 9 days. Located in Kensington, this hotel is not close to downtown, but we liked the area. It was very quiet and safe. There were not too many restaurants nearby and the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant. There is a restaurant on the bottom floor but it is not owned by the hotel. The food was awful. We ate breakfast there on our first day and never returned. The staff was very good. They keep the hotel very clean. There are nearby tube stations you can walk to. We would recommend staying if you’re looking for a quiet hotel.

The Hotel staff were very engaging and courteous. The hotel is clean, our room was large and very clean, we were very pleased with it. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the nearest tube station, not too bad. Breakfast is provided by a separate company with a walk through from the Hotel. We opted for the continental breakfast. Choice wasn't too bad but the cooked food was only luke warm and we found it to be not the best quality. Apart from this we felt the Hotel was of a very good standard, we were pleased with our stay and felt it was value for money.

The air was broken in my room, and I assume others. They shut the elevators down for maintenance but didn’t alert anyone. They also didn’t help w bags up the stairs when the elevator was out. The restaurant doesn’t include coffee with the breakfast buffet (which is already limited) and charged me 4 pounds for a simple cup of coffee, quite a bit more than a fancy coffee drink from a shop.
