Since before arriving, the manager was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food from the restaurant smelt delicious. Our fur baby loves the quiet and window seat from our room. The room was neat, tidy, and functional. Every staff member has made an effort to say hi and to ask if if our stay was enjoyable. Very happy to recommend the Rose Hotel to anyone.

The room of clean from bed up , but the terracotta tiles on the floor was very very dirty lots of mole on it ,we were down near the laundry and was very noisy . If I stay again I would ask for room up the front of the building may be floor would be cleaner and not so noisy , breakfast was ok

The motel was very clean but old really needs to be renovated to make it more modern. The staff were very lovely & friendly. The bed we slept in was amazing so comfortable. But the sad thing for us with our stay was neighbours up fighting all night which kept us awake a lot. Not the owners fault.

Ok. No information in the room on what was available, ie wifi, breakfast and where to get it. No window glass just wooden slats, no privacy curtains, so if you want fresh air you don't get privacy.

Economical stay was ok. We went for breakfast at 8.30am but there were a lot of crumbs and untidy looking. We couldnt find pancakes or many options at that time. The young guy didnt ask if we needed anything. The oldee guy at check in was friendlier.

Out dated motel, door handles broken, ceiling stuck together with heavy duty masking tape, arrived to have to ring a number and told lift the key mailbox and pick a key to whichever room. When departed got phone call hours after we had left accusing us of taking the key when we left it in the room in front of the tv.

When I stayed at the rose Motel I woke up at 4am to find the entire room was flooded after heavy rainfall and it was freezing. I waited for the office to open in the morning and went to the front desk to advise them, they simply asked was the roof leaking I explained no and they they're response was I'll check it out. No apologies no refund. I later realised that not only was my entire handbag wet but so was all the contents in it purse, paperwork etc. I contacted them again by phone and asked if they had checked the room. They said no but that they were informed by the cleaners that, that room had a shower leak. I once again stated this wasn't the case the room flooded from rain. They again replied they would check it out, never offered a tefund or compensation for my damaged property I would never ever stay at this property again. Not only that the rooms had not beencleaned properly beforehand. I wasn't the only guest there with an apparent shower leak either. If you looking for sewhere in Mackay to stay I would avoid this Motel! Dirty, poor customer service amd my property was damaged

Room not 5 star rating , needs maintenance and fridge wasn’t working well but was attended to after we arrived at the motel. Breakfast inc in fee was a choice of boxed cereals , toast and spreads and self serve made pancakes and tea coffee , not wonderful. We won’t stay there again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was yummy, a nice variety of toast, cereal, pancakes and juice. The rooms were dated but for the price definitely worth it. My bed didnt have wheels at the head of it so it was on a noticeable angle, i improvised and made some adjustments to make sure i was sleeping level. the bed was comfy enough and the room was otherwise clean and a reasonable size
