Very very bad wifi

All services like pools and bar unavailable! Room not even decent

Entire building is contactless.. make sure you have change for vending machines as they don’t give change. We stayed sat-Monday, no cleaner in our room all weekend.. no towels changed or room cleaned or beds made. WiFi isn’t the best whilst we were in there,, actually blocked some apps. No bar staff on Sunday, had to bring in someone to man bar. No sky sports to show sports.. only TNT. Measures in the bar were skimpy.. 25ml of Disaronno.. £4:70.. no mixer.. joke. Room keys were a pain in the arse, anytime we left the building we had to go back to reception and get them re swiped.. awful set up. Men’s toilets had a code to open the door.. had to hope someone was in there to open the door so we could use them. Check out is 10am.. pretty crap when your return flight is in the afternoon/evening. I can’t see me ever using this hotel company again.. no matter where I’m staying.

Chose the hotel specifically as it had a pool. Told only when asking where to find the pool that it shut 4 years ago. For £200 for 1 night I'd have expected more. It wasnt awful just lacked the things it advertised. Also unbearably warm but our room had a window at least

No parking whatsoever and when enquired was told aboutva place 15 minutes walk away in the rain ..had to pay £24 to park a car ..also charged city tax per day to keep city clean whilstbhaving to dodge the rats runningbaround outsidebthe building ..andbpaid up front for breakfast to save moneybonly to find it even cheaper onsite..breakfast was nice enough but very limited choice of fruits etc

Convenient location and a fine room for the price. Heat didn’t work but I found a portable unit in the closet and was a suitable replacement. No free wifi in the room and limited tv channels.

I expected worse for the low cost. The staff were very polite and had security on the door at night to ensure only residents could enter. The hotel has a quaint sports bar inside, prices were reasonable for a city centre hotel (£5 a pint). The room was sufficient, clean and comfortable if a little small, the room was very warm and fans were provided, no air conditioning and I payed only £40 do didn’t come with a window, overall a positive experience.

Positive: Great Location. but, wifi service is terrible. How is possible a six floor Hotel can’t afford high quality wireless routers? During our 3 nights stay in the sixth floor, we only had wifi a few minutes a day, we had to go to reception or commercial locals around to search for wifi. They said they would fix it but never happened how is this possible if most of their clients are foreign people that need wifi? Also they don’t do room service unless you stay more than 4 nights. We had to ask for toilet paper and change of towels in the front desk.

The room was always hot made sleeping difficult. They provided fans did not help. A bar never opened . Ares lots os street people and open drug use.

The check in was slow and I was offered a room with a window for an extra £10. I declined this and still got a room with a window, which appeared to say the £10 was a bit of a scam. 1 of the 2 lifts was out of order. The vending machines were out of order. The hotel was at an uncomfortable temperature, very warm. This was commented on by everyone. The location is very good for shopping and bars. There was a lot of noise from other guests, which you can't blame the hotel for. Basically stay here if you're cold and on the piss, and you're laughing.

Excellent value for money, incredibly spacious room and the bed was super comfortable. Staff were efficient to check me in and out, the only minor issue was that there was more than one occasion where my friend who was not staying was put under scrutiny. I’m sure this is just for the purposes of keeping customers safe. Loved the mural on my wall in the bedroom and the building itself is helpfully close to all amenities.

With just a two-minute walk from Market Street and about five minutes from Piccadilly Gardens the location could not be more central. That makes it ideal whether you’re in Manchester for shopping, sightseeing, or simply exploring the city on foot. The rooms were perfectly fine for a city hotel at this price point. Comfortable enough with everything you need for a short stay. The bed was good, the room was clean, and the facilities worked without issue. It’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what you would expect and perhaps a bit more given the central location. The hotel overall felt both clean and well maintained. While it’s not brand-new, the common areas were tidy, and housekeeping did a good job during my stay. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was straightforward. Considering the price, the value is excellent.

Exceptional value in a prime location. Management are friendly and professional, cleaning standards are high and you feel safe as a solo traveller.

Upon arrival, i noticed dirty bathtub. Asking the reception to clean it, one of them came and rinse it by water. The room requires several maintenance Very noisy environment. Even on Saturday ans sunday early morning around 5 or 6 there is loud noises

Good price for a night. Room was really clean and tidy and bigger than expected, so great for the price. Decor is a little dated but for the price I didn’t mind at all. Was only there to sleep for the night!

Paid extra for windows which were nailed shut. A/C didn't work, room was 29.5 degrees. Uncomfortable stay.

There was no sense of urgency from the staff even though the line was nearly going down the stairs. We also found out once we got the desk that ALL guests staying needed physical photo ID, which we weren’t told beforehand. The room was tiny for £170, no window unless you pay extra. The room was boiling even at the end of November. There was no way to cool the room down - there was a fan in the room but 1) it was tiny 2) there was no ventilation in the room so it was blowing hot air around. The room itself was very basic - the TV didn’t work, no proper lighting (just 3 small lamps dotted around), bed was a small double, no plug sockets by the bed. The bathroom was very basic (you get better in a premier inn) Would not stay again, especially for the price.

The room itself is great. A good size. A little bit of bodge it and scarper when it comes to the maintenance. The main issue was with a VERY loud nightclub just below the room. At 12:10 AM there was very loud, terrible music coming from downstairs. Thankfully it didn’t last. More than an hour but it definitely woke me up! I went for a bath and by the time I had finished the volume had gone down to a level that was just about bearable. I was going to go to reception and complain but I couldn’t be bothered to get dressed and it did calm down.

No air con and a small plug in fan that made no difference. No windows in the room and blazing heat that kept me melting in November. The concierge was rude, clearly fed up and shouting at his colleague for a break while checking us in. It was an uncomfortable awkward stay.

The room was cheap and cheerful but if you opt for a room with no window, they are extremely warm. The air con is set to hot if you turn it on and cannot change the temperature as the control has been removed. There is a small fan but this makes no difference. I had to sleep with a wet towel on top of me, it was like being abroad!!

Room 207 ,lovely big room nice and warm , the bed omg very uncomfortable really old mattress by the looks of things could do with one of those form mattress to lay on the top. Overall its always be a lovely hotel for the price and location. I will be back. But not with a bad back.

Room with no windows - knew when booking. But no temperature control. So it was boiling even in March. Beds were cheap mattresses with mattress covers. Room not cleaned for 4 days so needed to act for supplies like toilet role. Member of staff woke us saying check out at 10pm even though we have a few more days left. Not enough plus near bed. Tv not in centre and small. But for budget hotel it tolerable just pay the £10 a night extra for the windows. On the positive, it’s fine for a night or two. Shower was hot. ‘

We stayed as a family of four. We found the hotel itself oaky to stay in as a base. Great location. Hotel itself is a bit dated. But for a base it was perfectly fine. Beds comfy. Check in was a bit of a faff, don’t understand why they need all photo IDs of everyone, including children. Check in staff were not very friendly. Although that’s not all the staff. The evening security guy was very friendly and welcoming, as well as the Tuesday morning staff.

Really bad hotel, one of the receptionist needs customer service training as she was so rude and difficult for no reason with people checking in, and to get back into the hotel you're quizzed a million unnecessary questions by security (but i guess at least they have security). The hotel room itself was a furnace which they did try to fix with fans but wasn't overly effective, the walls are paper thin so could hear everything around us. Overall, just bad in every aspect, its the cheapest place we could find but still felt like too much money given what you get

Staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. We were looking for a cheap stay for a weekend in Manchester. We booked a windowless room… and the heating/cooling had broken. Upon request staff inspected it and offered us a room with windows, but we had to pay the difference. Seemed unnecessary that we had to pay to switch rooms when it was the hotel’s air conditioning that was broken. Also there were European plugs that obviously we were not prepared for (we were expecting the UK power sockets). Really great staff and service though, I will say. Thank you to the receptionist, Mike, for making our stay enjoyable!

Wouldnt use this place again. Yes, its clean enough and yes its comfortable enough. But its budget accommodation in every sense. Very tired shabby hotel. Insanely long drawn out checking in process. Led to a super long slow moving queue.

Check in time was supposed to be 2 pm but they said that was wrong and it is 3 pm. The staff member checking people in was very rude and abrupt and after 45 ninutes which made it 2.45 pm I said I did not like her attitude and customer service was terrible so she said well im not checking you in. There is a notice to say treat our staff with respect but what about doing the same for the customers. In the end the nain manager sorted it and was very polite and nice. They say you get what you pay for and I've had bad experiences at Sachas and Britannia which are part of the same group. They just dont care about customers

Need to improve check in service

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! The moment we walked in this hotel the staff were so rude! We were checking in at 2pm for 2 adults and 2 children, as we were checking in they had us down for 3 standard room which we booked for a family room. They seen then that they had made a mistake but said we would have to wait for half hour for our room to be cleaned. Half hour to clean a room no way!! Anyway so we were asked for ID i gave mine also had to show some sort of id for my 12 year old daughter, done that. My friend on the other hand had her 12 year old sister with her but she wasnt aloud she had to be with her mother. So the staff asked if we could get id from the mother which we did. To then turn out we had do all the IDs again with a different staff member. He took my daughters id and because she had a different surname to me they then refused again and cancelled it. This was not stated while i was doing the online check in!! 2 and half hours we were in there trying to sort it the whole time the staff were so rude no good customer sevice skills whatsoever! The hotel itself looked so dirty it was HORRENDOUS. THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN, HOW IT HASNT ALREADY I DO NOT KNOW. Oh not forgetting they hadn't actually cancelled it they lied, head office actually refunded it. We were so stressed having 2 young kids coming from wales and not knowing if we would have a place to stay. Thankyou to the travel lodge we did and cant them enough how they tret us.

Didn't even make it to check in. The venue was surrounded by unsavoury people and I didn't feel safe even going in.

Rooms are good, comfy beds, friendly staffs but the location of the hotel is not good. People are smoking in front of the hotel. That's not good.

Loved the facility. The staff were amazing and location was perfect. Very walkable but my only concern was the safety around the hotel. Since it is in an alley it could feel a little unsafe at night

Short stroll from Market St Tram Stop

Shopping good. Did not take advantage as I did not feel safe. Lots of gangs of people hanging around. I would never suggest any of female friends or colleagues to stay in that area.

We stayed for two nights in Manchester for the 1st time. Hotel was actually better than expected and it has a fantastic location.

Brilliant for location

After reading the reviews i was dreading coming to this hotel, but were pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size and clean, beds comfortable, bathroom had bath with overhead shower. Breakfast great. The staff work tirelessly unfortunately the guests let it down. Strong smell of weed all the way round the 4th floor. All in all hotel nice and staff lovely.

Immaculately clean large room with large TV. polite helpfull staff. Carpets in corridors were not clean and no food available. Overall much better than I expected for the price paid.

Surrounding area was dirty, but it was nice and clean inside with brilliant breakfast.

Dated rooms, loud night from street and hallway noise. Cold eggs at breakfast. Would not recommend.

Stayed at the hotel last night. The room had no windows and was hot and stiffling. No air conditioning just a tiny table fan. Decor was old and tired.bathroom dirty. Breakfast was appalling with the cheapest of ingredients.the coffee was like used wasing up water and didnt taste much better. Definately not worth the money and will never stay there again.

55min waiting in line to check in 2pm we where there at 1.45 , The room was hot even with heating turned off. no window. breakfast just ok No Orange juice Machine empty only Apple juice.

Great cheap stay.staff were friendly and very accomidateing.Room clean and comfortable.Breakfast plentifull.If I had to state a negative.It would be the breakfast could of been warmer.Will return.

Pros: Few steps to shopping area (Arndale mall), just behind Debenhams Large rooms that were recently refurbished Reasonably priced Cons: Horrible breakfast with watery and tasteless scrambled eggs. Hot chocolate had no taste of chocolate, was just merely brown water from machine. Served oranges that were not cut. When i asked the waitress if she could cut it or pass me a knife to cut it, she said she cannot allow it and asked me to use the butter knife on the table which was extremely blunt and could not cut an orange. I ended up peeling the orange with my nails which damaged them. What a horrid experience, pls avoid the breakfast, its not worth it
