The greatest hotel in Tyne and Wear..Shiremoor etc..Fantastic rooms,extremely spacious comfortable and absolutely quiet..The bar/restaurant is fantastic..nice and relaxing..Big tvs and cinema like seating,for a great sport occasion..Staff are amazing,confident and extremely pleasant and helpful..Pool gym facilities are out of this world..Great to have a break,date night or few days away with the family..They cater for all ages..The Starbucks has out of this world drinks and pastries etc..Food i s wonderful,drinks great and as a gym member 20 percent off..Best sleep ever..Parking exceptional and close by to other nightlife events..They host exclusive parties etc..Well worth a night or ten there..Five out of five..The meet and greet staff are beautiful and very prof..

The room was clean. Good gym and sauna facilities. I stayed in a club room. The access to the room involved walking through the restaurant / bar area. In rush hours it's challenging to walk through narrow spaces between chairs and tables with luggage. Probably making a different access way to the rooms would be a good idea. I am happy with the helping attitude of the staff. A great place to stay

The 1st time ive stayed at this hotel . I was very impressed. On arrival I was greeted at reception and the hotel layout and facilities explained . A lovely modern hotel room , spacious bar and a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices . The star of the show for me was the health club. The range of facilities and classes on offer is probably one of the best that I have experienced. Absolutely top class . Followed by a beautiful breakfast the next morning . I will definitely be going back.

We held our wedding reception yesterday and what can I say but the venue, staff, amenities were absolutely fantastic! Very helpful and attentive staff, nothing was too much bother, ample parking with first four hours free, very clean, comfortable beds, unlimited choices for breakfast, very large pool and hotel was very clean. Would highly recommend! The staff ensured our big day went like clock work 😃

There were nail clippings on the carpet by the bin near the tv! I found this disgusting, not sure how your housekeepers missed them! I told your receptionist and she was very inexperienced and said nothing to me. My room (114) was next to a staff room, 1 guy just talked none stop from about 5.45am this morning. The worst stay I have had in 1 of your hotels.

I have stayed in Village hotels all over and this one was by far the worst, unhelpful staff, unclean room, windows that wouldn’t open and unsettling stains on the sheets

Our room 104 was disgraceful and in our opinion not fit for use. The bathroom sink was cracked from one side to the other with dirt trapped in it, the mixer tap was crusted with limescale, the hot tap could barely be turned on and only cold water came out. The wall of the shower had a clear Perspex sheet attached and water had penetrated it leaving the wall in a completely filthy state. I was so appalled with this I didn’t use it the following day. The floor to the bathroom was black with dirt in the corners due to shoddy cleaning over a period of time. The view out of the window was a brick wall with two huge fans attached which made the opening of the windows for fresh air impossible to do due to them blowing goodness knows what out and also the noise. The two pillows consisted of one that was rock hard and the other felt so soft as if it was stuffed with a bag of cotton wool balls. Overall not a pleasant stay and we would have mentioned this when checking out but there was no one to be seen therefore we had to just leave our key in the box. I don’t know why you charge for parking at £5 overnight, you didn’t use to and nothing has changed so why now, if it’s to make money then you definitely arent putting it back into the hotel.

Staff excellent, breakfast pretty good and the rooms are pretty good too, what let's this hotel down is the fact it has no air conditioning and the rooms are super hot. Plus thirty degrees in our room with windows that open approximately four inches. The hotel does however provide electric fans to give some comfort though. Probably will not stay here again.

Decent hotel but no air con in the rooms. Windows open about 10mm so can get a bit sticky. The rooms do have a fan but that only does so much. Clean bed. Clean bathroom. Good food in the bar, drinks expensive. Gym and pool also but didn’t use as I’m fat. But they are always busy.

I enjoyed the stay but was very very disappointed at having a room above the gym as was woken at 8am on a Sunday morning with very very loud booming music coming from a fitness class. This was unacceptable and spoiled my stay.

Club room was right outside the lift so very noisy. Also there was a huge gap under the door. Check out was 11 oclock but we were woken up suddenly by housekeeping knocking on the door at half 9! This was a rare night away from kids and getting a lie in so was not happy with that.

Can’t really complain for the price paid and the inclusive use of the gym and pool in our room rate was fantastic as the facilities are brilliant. I unfortunately would not book again though as although it was quiet in terms of other guests , the noise from the fan in the bathroom led me to lye awake for over two hours before being able to fall asleep. It is really quite loud and you can only close the bathroom door from the inside so there’s nothing you can do to try and lessen the sound. We asked at reception about this who told us it would go off in the night which they must have known is clearly untrue. It’s also sadly put me off booking other village hotels as although the facilities are first rate I wouldn’t want to risk the issue of the unstoppable fan again.

When I checked into my room, it was either still occupied by another guest or the room want made up. When I approached lady on reception she said how strange, no apologies or anything if the sort. Stayed here about 7 times this year so far, but probably won’t stay again now.

I am a regular at the Village Hotel Newcatle. I stay there at least 5 nights every 2 months and have been for the last 2 and half years. On Wednesday evening I asked if I could have one of the Football games on to watch. The Bar Manager Steven let me sit there waiting until 7.30pm and then sent one of his staff Sam over to tell me he was not putting the game on as he was going to show 2 other matches instead. I was very upset by this being a loyal customer and regular visitor I felt let down. As a Bar Manager I feel it his responsiblilty to inform me of the situation. In the past when there has been more than 2 games on he has compromised and said he would put one game on for the first half and the other for the second. He did not offer me this as an option. I am aggrevied by this matter as I thought loyalty was inportant to regulars. I feel I cannot recommend the Hotel to anyone in the future as a result of this as I would not like anyone to have a negative experience.

Kath, Hannah and Andrea (the breakfast team) were very friendly and helpful and always had smiles to greet me with. The evening meal team were equally friendly and helpful. The reception team (Rebecca and Katrina to mane just two) at Check-in and Check-out were very friendly and when I raised an issue about the hot water in room 235 in the morning they got it sorted and informed me when I came back in the evening. The food was good with fast service and a good atmosphere. The gym staff were friendly too and Vanessa always had a smile on her face and made you feel welcome. I've stayed here on my previous trips to Newcastle and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. All departments were exceptionally pleasant and professional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. My only slight concern is that the room locks are slightly temperamental. Very good value and will be back

Hotel located in an out of town business area and not ideal if you don't have a car. Virtually no facilities in the area. Room was good with great bed. Surprisingly, no anti-slip mat in bath and extrator fan not working. Coffee cups appear to be washed by cleaners in the hand basin in the bathroom which is is a potential health hazard. Food standard and service is good but large TV's dominate the bar/restaurant area which impacted the dining experience.

This is quite a way out of town, on an industrial estate. However, we've stayed there a few times as the accommodation is clean and comfy and there is a lovely pool, sauna etc. Good value for money.

very hany place to stay for using it as a base,we visited lots of places in and around the area, the hotel was clean but a little tired, the staff were so friendly and help full. some information leaflets of things going on in the hotel and around that area would be helpful. breakfast is great every thing you want is there if not just ask the friendly staff

I'm beginning to really dislike Village hotels.They're a hotel right? So, you'd expect that if you turn up after 9.30pm, due to thats when you're flight gets in, you'd be able to get some food. At least room service. Hell no, Plus the breakfast really is very poor.

Rooms although clean were too warm and stuffy. They are in need of a freshen up ovetall Upon arriving back from an evening out we were unable to have a drink at the bar to finish our night out. As this was 10pm on a Saturday i found it totally unacceptable. No actual bar times are displayed so closure is left to the discretion of the bar manager which is not good enough.

The gym facilities are excellent, so if that’s something that’s important for your stay, then this might be a good place for you. I couldn’t get the room service function to work, meaning I had to go down to the bar to order something, which was packed with football fans. The room was a little past its prime but largely comfortable. Breakfast was underwhelming.

Had a brilliant time went on a Sunday night unfortunately the restaurant was a bit of a let down with a very poor menu and very expensive. We had to drive into Tynemouth to get food. The breakfast was brilliant and the room was fantastic.
