I liked this hotel during my stay in Quebec City. There’s lots of parking available and the staff were great and friendly. The only complaint I have is the railings were loose in the pool and hot tub. The hot tub had a bit of algae growth on the stones too. Overall, I had a great experience and would stay here again if I was in Quebec City.

un seul ascenseur qui est un peu lent. Vu un deuxième ascenseur mais pas visible de la réception. Complètement au bout du corridor. L'attente est longue. Le personnel de réception n'a offert aucune instruction sur l'hôtel, la piscine ou le restaurant. Les chambres sont un peu vieille. Il aurait été bien d'avoir la piscine ouverte après 22h pour adultes seulement. Trop d'enfants à la piscine toute la journée pour nous qui étions un groupe de 4 adultes. Le sommier dans notre chambre était visible et complètement tâché. Dégoûtant à voir. Système de climatisation trop bruyant la nuit. Le seul vrai point positif est l'emplacement avec stationnement.

⭐ Avis Expedia – Hôtel Ambassadeur Québec Séjour en famille de 4. La chambre était propre, assez grande et les lits confortables, mais les oreillers étaient énormes, donc si vous êtes difficiles, apportez le vôtre. Un peu de bruit ambiant, mais rien de dérangeant, sauf la thermopompe qui démarre bruyamment à l’occasion. La salle de bain était correcte : pression d’eau faible mais bonne eau chaude. Le ventilateur ne fonctionnait pas, ce qui cause un peu d’humidité au plafond. Les installations sont propres et bien disposées. On sent l’odeur de la piscine en entrant, ce qui est normal, mais il faut savoir que la piscine avait une fuite lors de notre visite, ce qui la rendait très froide puisque l’eau de ville entrait en continu. Malgré ça, les enfants ont quand même joué plus d’1h30 dans la piscine et les jeux d’eau. Le spa est réservé aux 18+, mais le personnel, dont la sauveteuse, a été courtois et professionnel. Le service en général était bon : employés polis et rapides. Le stationnement est facile et l’emplacement est pratique avec un Cora et un Tim Hortons juste à côté pour le déjeuner. En résumé, pour le prix, l’hôtel offre un bon rapport qualité-prix et convient bien aux familles. Je recommande, mais si votre activité principale est la piscine, vérifiez à l’avance si la fuite est réparée.

This hotel has the potential to be amazing. The pool area was beautiful but needed some work. Railings were wobbly. Hot tub was scalding hot the first night. And the jets dont work. Felt like we were having a bath with strangers. The pool was nice. The ceiling had obvious water damage and wasnt patched up. The room itself was clean. The sheets were weird. No fitted sheet just two flat sheets and not a very big mattress protector. Comforter was very thin. But the AC worked. The door in the bathroom had visible water damage that was just painted over. The hotel looked nice but it definitely needs some work. Great price though and they allow dogs. So awesome.

Il est peut-être temps de faire un grand ménage coté piscine et le jacousi, c'est plus un bain chaud et la piscine n'est pas chauffée, l'espace pour les jeux d'eau pour enfants est usé et sale et la chambre est du pour quelques rénovations et sûrement les autres chambres aussi, les abats-jour des lumière sont jaunis et salles, mais on a passé une belle nuit pareil, je ne chiale pas, je constate que l'Hôtel Ambassadeur n'est pu ce qu'elle a déjà été dans le passé même si c'était ma première visite à cette hôtel, j'aurais aimé pouvoir répondre à des question en français, je parle de Hotels.com.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The room was ready by 3 pm and we went down to the pool after arriving. The pool area was nice but the jets in the hot tub didn't work. The most frustrating part of our hotel visit was the room key. Everyday the keys stopped working and we were there for 4 days.

We have stayed at the Ambassadeur Hotel multiple times over the years. It has a great location, under 10 minutes to Old Quebec and 10 minutes to Montmorency. Our kids love the pool, as the hotel keeps it nice and warm, not like many of the hotel pools we have stayed at which are absolutely freezing. Plenty of food choices nearby too.

Le plancher de la salle de bain était sale, cheveux sur le comptoir et moisissures dans le bas des murs. Ça sentait le renfermé. On entend les voisins de chambre uriner, claquer les portes et se disputer à 1h45 du matin. Et pour clôturer… ils décident de faire des travaux, donc marteaux, cris de travailleurs entre eux et déplacements de meubles à 8 heures le matin.

Beds were comfortable. Bathroom needed to be cleaned properly, dirty toilet. At check in.. gave us keys to an occupied room. Lucky we went in and only guest luggage was on floor and no one in room. No garbage can in room. Air conditioner was not working and was 29 degrees in room. No fan in bathroom. Staff were friendly, spoke English. Would not recommend or return.

When I checked in, the room was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned after the previous guests. I asked the front desk agent to switch me to another room, but he asked me to take pictures of the room and show him, which I found surprising. The second room I was moved to was clean, but the soundproofing was poor. I could hear the guests next door banging doors, drilling, and then laughing and drinking loudly from midnight until around 3–4 a.m. I was trying to call front desk but they did not response. Overall it was not bad, just these incidents made the stay not as good as I expected.

Des coulisses brunes sur les murs, de la moisissure a pleins d’endroits dans la salle de bain, beaucoup de poussières à des endroits faciles à nettoyer, un lit hyper inconfortable, aucun support pour les manteaux, un taux d’humidité dans la chambre vraiment inconfortable. Nous ne sommes pas difficile en herbergement habituellement mais cette fois ci c’était vraiment une expérience désagréable. Je ne conseils aucunement cet hôtel malheureusement!

Chambres très mal insonorisées, il y avait des équipes de jeunes qui courraient, criaient, claquaient les portes jusqu’à 22:30. Nos enfants et nous-mêmes se sont réveillés plusieurs fois. Aucune action n’a été portée à cet effet malgré nos plaintes. La piscine n’est pas accessible en fauteuil roulant. Le chauffage dans la chambre est extrêmement bruyant. Au milieu de la nuit de l’eau à commencer à couler des fenêtres comme un dégât d’eau potentiel. Nous ne remettrons plus jamais les pieds dans cet hôtel.

L'hôtel était overbooked, donc dès notre arrivée, ils nous ont dit que nous n'avions pas de chambre pour nous, malgré une réservation garantie avec Expedia. Ils ne nous ont même pas appelés, ni avisés. J'ai travaillé en hôtellerie pendant des années et normalement, l'hôtel doit relocaliser les clients en overbook. Eux n'ont rien fait! Et en plus, je dois me débrouiller pour me faire rembourser avec Expedia. Vraiment, je ne me laisserai plus prendre! Je ne passerai plus par Expedia la prochaine fois.

The recreation area is decent for children, with a small pool and hot tub, but the handrail to the hot tub is broken and unstable—dangerous on a wet floor where guests could slip. Room cleaning service was unacceptable. Despite placing “Please clean” signs daily, our room was not cleaned for five days, and no fresh blankets, pillows, or towels were provided. The cleaning staff could not understand even basic English, making communication impossible. At checkout, the front desk receptionist was unpleasant, unwelcoming, and acted as though guests were an inconvenience. While Quebec is primarily French-speaking, hotels in a major tourist destination must ensure front desk staff are bilingual, or at the very least friendly and professional. A smile and respectful attitude cost nothing but mean everything in hospitality. As a hotel owner myself, I consider guest service, safety, and communication non-negotiable—and this property failed in all three areas.

The staff was awesome from check in, the gentleman was handled the check in on Monday was great. The gentleman working overnight (Claudio) was patient and helpful,the housekeeping staff on the second floor also awesome and finally Emily at checkout. Overall great service and customer satisfaction. The only gripe was for a couple of days the pool was a tad bit too hot( almost sauna type levels).

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. When we arrived, there were no towels in our room. We called the front desk, and they told us to come get some ourselves. Once we got there, they informed us that there were no towels available at all, and although they said a request had been made to the laundry, we never received any during our stay. We had also requested a baby bed, but were given a playpen with hair and a sticky pink substance on the mattress. Needless to say, it was not suitable, so our baby had to sleep with us. The pool was dirty and was missing about a foot of water, making it feel poorly maintained and uninviting. On top of that, our room was never cleaned during our stay, and we were never provided with towels. We ended up taking some ourselves from the pool area just to be able to shower. Overall, we were really disappointed by the lack of basic service and cleanliness. We would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Location was fantastic. Just outside of the old City yet close to many good restaurants including the one in the Hotel. We travelled with our two Chihuahuas and being placed on the main floor at an end hall with little noise was very good to keep them from barking Although clean, the room was tired-peeling paint on bathroom ceiling, stains on walls, lifting floor, loose bath tap, furniture rough looking. Room could also benefit from having a microwave for leftover food warm ups. Would definitely stay at same place again as it was affordable, had a great restaurant and was in a great location.

great location just off the downtown (a $15 uber ride let you avoid any parking issues or driving in unfamiliar streets as well as lets you enjoy the many options of entertainment and pubs without the issue of driving)

The hotel stay was a pleasant experience. It was clean and conveniently located close to the Quebec City. The best was the availability of parking area and access to lots of eateries, making a late night return from the city convenient for me and my girlfriend.

Property needs major upgrades as it seems to be neglected. There is a restaurant in the hotel but they do not offer room service. The fries were inedible, the pork ribs tasted of rot. Spent 200$ on dinner and threw out half. The pool looked dirty. The birds were cute but the cages way too small.

At first when we got in our room, the a/c wasn’t working… it was a hot day and inside room temperature was 33 degrees Celsius. We asked the front desk if it was normal and they said no, it was fixed a few days ago. They sent someone to reset the thermostat! It worked fine after that. The only downside is no breakfast is not included with the price of hotel. TG there is a bistro, Subway, Cora and Tim Hortons beside the hotel. The jets in the whirlpool aren’t very strong, but at least there is one and pool and kids pool area are great too.
