Wonderful location and well maintained rooms. Only concern was the lack of an elevator.

Perfect location, but parking is not guaranteed, so you need to be open to parking in a nearby parking garage if you cant find a place behind the hotel.

Everything is old, no elevators you have to take your luggage upstairs 😞

The website says it has parking. But upon check in they say it is a first come first serve basis. It is very hard to find street parking.

This property charges $25.00 to use their outside parking lot. Not a secure parkade but their parking lot. We’re traveling across Canada and this was a first.

Very close to old Quebec .. walkable which was nice! Stairs to rooms and no elevators !

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The hygiene standards are clearly lacking: • The ceiling in my room had dirty and neglected fixtures. • The bathroom was in terrible condition, with a stained faucet and visible mold on the walls and tile grout. • The overall level of cleanliness is completely unacceptable for an establishment claiming to host guests. I absolutely do not recommend this place and suggest the management seriously reevaluate their cleaning standards. For the price paid, I expected much better. An experience to avoid.

I stayed in the room for two nights, but I was bitten by bed bugs. Please pay more attention to hygiene.

Vraiment malpropre, vieux et mal entretenu. La pomme de douche utilisable a 10%. Les coins sales, les murs sales, le sol avec des mousses et des cheveux. Peinture laisse a désirée et faite à la debarasse. Dailleur elle serait plus que prête à renouveler. Le bruit du detecteur de fumé qui manque de pile.... ne vaut pas son prix malheureusement.

Great location. Very walkable. Room was not clean. Staff is apathetic to help you find your way - they literally watched me climb 3 stories up the wrong stairwell on their security cameras without coming to tell me I’m going the wrong way. Then rudely telling me it’s my fault for not reading a poorly placed sign. Ah well you get what you pay for.

The hotel was in a great location for restaurants and attractions The hotel wasn’t very clean. The bed wasn’t comfortable and comforter was dirty. I don’t think that the floors were washed. Hall ways weren’t vacuumed or cleaned. Cleanliness was very bad. Yikes

The room was spacious. It was made up of 2 well sized rooms with a door to seperate them. The bathroom was small outdated and not very clean. Bath towels were yellowing and sheets had mark on them. It did not have air conditioning and was very warm. 2 fans were supplied. Very convenient location and walkable to all sites.

Great location to so many historical sites of Old Quebec City. Totally walkable, just know the sites are down the hill towards the river. So it is uphill back to the hotel. Many well priced restaurants on same street. Room was large, clean, nice beds, good temp control.

Easy check in and check out, nice and helpful staff. Convenient location for dining and visiting the old Quebec area. Very slow wifi internet. The condition of the room was only OK, the bed had a broken leg and other appliances were also in bad condition. Parking also OK. Not to lowd. In general terms, the place is good enough to stay for a short period of time.

Pros: -great location being close to the Plains of Abraham and the old town -Very fast response time for maintenance and housekeeping -the fireplace -friendly staff Cons: -a lot of maintenance required (e.g. overflowing and clogged shower, dim lightbulbs in the bathroom, the jacuzzi tub malfunctioned) -maybe too good of a neighbourhood on the weekends if you like to fall asleep before 3 AM, as there is a loud club across the street -the mattress was very small and possibly a double rather than a queen. It was also very lumpy with springs poking us, and we had to sleep on top of the duvet. -there are very thin walls and about an inch gap under the front door so you can hear everything. One of our neighbours seemed to be an opera singer and sang beautifully so that was actually a bonus. -very poor wifi Overall not worth it for the price (CAD$380/night) for what was supposedly the best room in the hotel. Stay elsewhere if you can.

Great location, many restaurants on the same strip and walking distance to Old Quebec. Its a charming older building but nothing fancy. Beds were uncomfortable and lumpy mattress. I would recommend for a short stay if you're looking for good location and good price

Clean but worn out. Old building, but very bad renovation. Very loud music from the street until 1 a.m. We had to keep blackout curtains close even in the day time because no privacy screens were provided.

The location was great, we were OK with no elevator. It’s only three flights of stairs, but I noticed others coming in with large luggage and they struggled. The biggest thing and the reason why I gave it three stars it was loud all three nights we were there till three in the morning couldn’t tell if it was coming from below us or across the street. On the last night, I looked out the window around one in the morning and there was a bunch of police officers just hanging out on the sidewalk. Also, I knew they did not have breakfast, but I thought maybe they would’ve had at least coffee in the lobby, which they did not the closest place was down the street which was a subway. They did have a small one in the room. I can’t say I would stay there again because of the loud music all night other than that I would stay again.

Loved this property. Two bedrooms separated by a sitting room. Very unique layout. Walked out front door and had lots of options for dinner. Walking distance to boardwalk and Fairmont Hotel.

If you have travelled Europe you will be used to this type of property. Don't expect anything fancy as it is old. However, the rooms were fine and the bed was so comfortable. The location to old downtown was also a huge bonus. The room doors were a bit beaten up and could easily be forced open. The showers were great, as long as no one else in the suites were using theirs. Serious scalding if someone else turned their water on! Overall, for the price, the rooms were fine.

The hotel staff gave a personal touch that made the experience welcoming and friendly.

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage! Das Hotel als solches auch in Ordnung. Leider hatten wir ein großes Problem mit dem Check in. Wir wurden mittags nach der Ankunftszeit gefragt (offiziell darf man bis 23 Uhr einchecken) nachdem wir diese mitgeteilt hatten erhielten wir keine Rückmeldung mehr. Als wir bei der Unterkunft ankamen war bereits alles verschlossen und niemand mehr vor Ort. Unser Glück war es dass eine andere Bewohnerin und mit reingenommen hat und für uns eine Notfallnummer angerufen hat. Dabei kam heraus dass unser Schlüssel in einem kleinen Zahlenschloss Tresor aufbewahrt war. Am Ende hat also mit viel Glück noch alles geklappt. Jedoch sehr schade dass wir im Vorhinein nicht darüber informiert wurden und keinen Code erhalten haben.

Staff was lovely and check in was quick and easy. Room was large, bright and clean with everything needed. Loved being able to walk downtown Quebec City and see all the city has to offer. We will be back! Merci beaucoup!!

Perfect location

The location is perfect… a 10-minute walk to the Old Quebec entrance… a five-minute walk to the Parliament and city convention centre. This small vintage inn is right on the lively Grande-Allée restaurant strip, around the corner from les Plaines d’Abraham. Limited on-site parking is available on a first come-first served basis. Nearby convenient municipal parking is only a two-minute walk away. The street is front of hotel was closed to through-traffic, so we unloaded from the backyard parking area. The guest room had lovely high ceilings and spacious walk in closet and huge bathroom. The room was clean with two large windows overlooking the restaurant terrace (a Persian restaurant). The stairs to upper levels might be hard for people with limited mobility, but ground-level rooms can be requested. Hallway carpets were tidy, but there was lots of dust in corners. I highly recommend this ideal location with onsite parking. It’s a great value and gives you a feel for the vintage architecture that makes this city famous.

Great location on Grande Allée.

Room was clean and quiet. Hotel is right on Grande-Allee which has many patio dining options for a summer evening just steps from the front door. 2 min walk to Plains of Abraham park with great views down to the St Lawrence river. Parking is not the nightmare everyone makes it out to be - you can park at the large hotel on the corner (less than 500m walk) in their underground parking. $25.00 CAD per night. Not out of the ordinary in a large city with a location so close to major tourist sites etc. The hotel is a renovated older building and there are a lot of stairs if you're not on the main floor (for those with mobility concerns). No counter in the bathroom made it a bit difficult to get ready, jetted tub bubbles did not work for us, though the tub is nice and deep for a soak. All in all it was great for our overnight stay on our way through to PEI.

We loved all of them. The service was excellent and the outside was nice and walkable.

Great location. Lots of dining options steps away and walkable to Old City. Busy nightlife area so may be noisy. Convenient parking ($10 for 12 hours) on Wilfrid-Laurier Ave which is easily accessed from back of hotel.

This hotel is in the center of the city, walking distance to restaurants. The room is big, beds are comfortable, lots of towels. Parking overnight on the street is free. Check in and out was smooth, everyone spoke English

Quaint boutique hotel w exposed brick and hardwood floors.. bathroom is modern, location right in middle of restaurant row and walking distance to Vieux Quèbec, and parking behind hotel, which u need when they close off Grande Allée for city festivals.. we were there for the FEL music fest, parking is limited in the rear of hotel, but we just didn’t move the car until departure.. Also, during fest, they pretty much turn the restaurant row into an outdoor dance club w DJs, so if you’re a nite owl, u can dance in your room too.. overall great hotel and above all, location location!!!

Staff were friendly. Booked, thinking breakfast is included but there was none. Building is aged, room was clean but spartan with outdated wiring. Mould in grouting in bathroom.

Great location as it's only a short five minute walk to old Quebec. There are also plenty of restaurants to choose from right around the hotel. The staff were great and the rooms clean, that said the hotel could use a little upgrading but overall it was a lovely stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Although the location is a little outside of old town the area has a lot of great restaurants so you didn't have to go far to get dinner.
