The staff in the restaurant were amazing, polite, funny and professional. A joy to have dinner with. The food was very good. Unfortunately the staff at reception were not so exciting. On arriving the staff were unwelcoming, poor communication and limited interaction with guests. The hallway to the carpark needs a good clean and a paint. The room key sensor to the carpark roller door is difficult to reach, a redesign is needed.

Room was clean, and seemed relatively new. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately only one dryer was working in laundry services. Carpark is underground and is very difficult to maneuver a poor turning radius vehicle.

I know there have been mixed reviews, but our experience was very good. We had a nice renovated room that overlooked the garden. It's in a good location if walking down to the main CBD. It is on the top of the hill, so could be challenging for some. We were lucky with parking as we were advised that there were limited spots. We didn't have any trouble parking, but the area around the hotel is under construction which could have caused an issue if there wasn't a spot available in the hotel. Laundry area was nice and the machines were quick and affordable. I can't speak to the gym areas as it was under renovation when we were there. Overall, I enjoyed being within walking distance of everything and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

This was a good hotel. We would happily stay again. The bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful! We had two queen beds for a family with kids and there was plenty of surfaces to spread out suitcases. Parking needs to be booked or you may miss out. Street parking around the hotel wasn’t hard though. It’s a 10min walk down to the lake and main hub of Queenstown, but it is quite steep of a hill at times so not ideal for those who can’t walk far. Paid parking is available down there and was quite easy to find for us. Staff were friendly and answered all questions we had. Was a little uninformed on the services when I checked in, eg apparently there was a laundromat that we would have loved to use, but I didn’t hear about it until I heard about another guest discussing it before we left. We didn’t have an information book in our room. Overall, very happy and would stay again!!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of Queenstown town centre and restaurants. Challenging for parking and getting in and out with cars, but staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Rooms are lovely. 24/7 laundry room which is very helpful when travelling with family.

After checking in, we noticed a powerful musty smell in the room. We opened the window, hoping it would disappear when we returned. However, the musty foul smell was also in the bedding. Terrible first night but they changed the room for us for the next four nights and the staff were all very helpful except one of the managers on the last day who refused to call on the airport shuttle for us. After mentioning to him that other hotels in other cities were happy to do it for us he reluctantly made the call. Overall it was a nice stay

It was very clean and modern and the room was beautiful. I recommend paying the few extra bucks for the newer rooms because they are much nicer! The main negative is that the wifi was incredibly slow in the rooms, I couldn’t even load my email to check about booking information. In the lobby it seemed fine but as soon as you enter your room it is bad. I also called the tourism center in town since I couldn’t book online and just making that call cost 50 dollars even though it was local.

We really liked the refurbished superior room we stayed in - the bathroom was really nice, the bed was very comfortable and the room was furnished in a modern classic style. The television was a good size and the room looked out at a pretty courtyard garden. The downsides of the hotel would be the exterior and some of the communal areas are looking a bit dated and tired. Also, even though Queenstown’s retail area is definitely a walkable distance, there is quite a steep hill to contend with on your return.

20 minutes to reach room service and was told 30-40 minutes to get a bowl of soup in the bar…. I required a room close to the elevator and was assigned one furthest away.. They were very busy… but someone should have made an effort to change the room the following days…

Two problems. First was we were looking for the bus stop foe our Milford Sound tour and the front desk was totally clueless as to where the stop was even though it was specifically for guests of this hotel. They should have known. Second we were placed in a room next to a room where there was ongoing construction. We arrived just after check-in time of 3 pm hoping to get a little rest after a long drive but instead the sound of drills and hammers serenaded us for the next two hours. Given what we paid for this hotel we were disappointed

Great property for our stay…just a very short walk into town…although there’s quite a hill coming back after your QT town adventures. There are no toothbrushes etc…just some basic lotions. Slippers and robes would’ve been a nice touch too however we enjoyed our stay and our room and beds were very comfortable. Recent renovation made for a pleasant stay.

We were barely in the room so it was okay for us. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was good, not right in the town, but a 10 min walk away on a slope. AC did not work well in the rooms, rooms were not cleaned as well as they should have been. Coffee cups were definitely not clean.

Very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Rooms a good size and beds comfortable. However the breakfast really lets it down. Poor selection compared with other 4.5* hotels. The food was only Luke warm, pastry selection was very poor and cheap brought in muffins. No bread selection other than packet brown or white. Only 3 types of cereal and no granola. Poor cooked selection, Scrambled eggs were nearly raw, chewy cold bacon, frankfurter sausage again cold and looked un appetising , tomatoes , beans and hash browns. All on the cold side. When you consider what lovely food is served in the cafes around Queenstown I’d recommend going into town for breakfast. Far wider choice and cheaper also looks far more palatable than the hotel breakfast. Breakfast definitely not worth paying an extra $40 for or even the $35 if you get it on offer.

Overall the hotel was fine. Staff were friendly. Issues were lack of healthy choices at breakfast (need more fresh fruit, prunes, oatmeal maybe). Especially, when staying several days like we did. Room service was quite late, so after a long day it was disappointing since we didn’t want to leave so just asked for towels. Bedding need a change.
