Comfortable stay, very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast really good, done well. No parking spaces left on my arrival, however there is a very large cark park over the road , This was free to park form 6pm to 8am on the day i was there . There is also an Indian restaurant across the road, which the staff recommended to me the food was excellent . Would stay here again.

A central, easy to get to hotel. Facilities good but parking can be difficult when there are a lot of guests (but there is a public car park very nearby). Very Pet friendly (although some of the other guests clearly weren’t). Overall, enjoyable.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff who I think own it, very helpful in offering advice on the area and places to go, nice room, comfortable bed, and fantastic cooked breakfast. Hotel is also right in the centre of town and had free parking.

Such a lovely family run hotel. We stayed with our nine month old baby and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent, central parking provided and the location is in the heart of Shrewsbury. Rooms had everything you needed. Will definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Shrewsbury.

First thing to say is that breakfast is fabulous! Location is great and very easy to walk around town from the hotel. Car parking is a bit limited but every well managed. Everyone we met was really nice and extremely polite. Rooms were good, bathrooms a bit small I guess.

Very friendly staff. Car Parking is a bit odd - 8 spaces but you either block someone in or are blocked in. Keys left with reception for your car to be moved if required!!! Nice Indian restaurant opposite.

It was a lovely property. A bit noisy at times between the bedroom spaces , with rooms not being very noise reductive, however this can only be expected in older properties pre- insulation techniques and in a town centre. The breakfast was lovely in a really comfortable room. Can not fault the staff and the rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfy.

Position was fantastic. You could leave your car and walk everywhere. Beds were comfortable and staff members were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Breakfast superb with alternative milks and gluten free available. Character building meant going up stairs and the room at the top was rather warm. There was a fan in the wardrobe we found at the last minute. Quiet area with lovely outlook. Beautiful hanging baskets at the front.

Reasonably priced and clear instructions from helpful staff. No fuss check in and check out. Really convenient for the town centre and close to very pleasant riverside walks and othe amenities. Despite the room being too warm overnight we had a very pleasant stay.

Certainly the staff, were very friendly & helpful as were the lobby (common areas) bright & cheery. My particular room was a bit ‘dated’ with smaller space in the room itself and bathroom. Noise from an adjacent pub garden was excessive as well as from the back-area housing estate. On the upside: the general location is quite convenient for lovely walks alongside the River Severn and central Shrewsbury shopping & entertainment. Decent value for money if you can stand the mediocre facilities. (Maybe a visit by the British Show (Hotel Inspector) might help? Breakfast (btw) was average … Recommended with some reservation. R
