Clean and comfortable room. We didnt hear any noise from the pub. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want to stay in Shrewsbury town centre, it is very well placed.

This is less a hotel, and more rooms above (a very good real ale) pub, which was one on the reasons we took a punt on the place, and we weren’t disappointed. Very good value for money, we had a standard room which was a decent size and a good en suite. Housekeeping was really good every day. Well situated just off the main drag, less than 10 mins walk from station and pretty much everywhere in Shrewsbury. It may not be to everyone’s taste, it’s a very old building and there isn’t any lift access, and beware if you are a light sleeper as every noise and bump can be heard so take some ear plugs 😀 Also, a bit lacking in storage space. But there’s always a bit of give and take when ‘character’ is involved. They don’t do breakfast- which we knew in advance and didn’t eat there, but the ale is great! And you get 10% off if you’re staying. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful wee place above a pub. The food in the pub was amazing. Would go again just for the food. Staff very friendly. No parking at the hotel. Only a few minutes away by car but a steep hill back up to the hotel with bags. Overall loved it
