Great location and excellent facilities on site. Room was spotless. Bar prices reasonable. Didn’t eat on site. Only issue was pool was crammed with kids when it says the last hour is adult only so 7-8pm which didn’t happen! Would return no probs!

Room, restaurant, bar and hotel in general was excellent. Only disappointment was the pool and pool area. The pool is small and can also be full and very noisy. I was surprised to find you needed to provide your own padlock for the lockers, which meant I had to leave it by the pool area where there was little dry space to leave your belongings.

The hotel overall is good but I would not stay here again as I found their swimming pool disappointing. It was the main reason for staying there with the family. It’s not clear on their website it just saying open until 9pm. Turned up at 8pm after long drive to hotel and they told the children (aged 11 and 14 with advanced swimming/racing skills) they could have 10 discretionary minutes as it was adults only. On Saturday morning we wanted to go for a swim. Got down there and the pool was closed from 10am until midday for toddler swimming lessons. Not happy. Hotel should not have extra star if the pool isn’t available to paying guests! We gave up using their swimming pool facilities. Changing rooms were not clean either but if you don’t swim or gym the hotel is fine.

I would have given you 5 stars across the board but we couldn't access the pool - the main reason for staying with you rather than a cheaper location closer to Alton Towers (where we were visiting). You can't - I mean you really can't! - advertise these amenities when booking and place such limits on their access. Feel like we've been treated very badly.

It was a nice and comfortable stay. My only disappointment was the extra £5 parking charge over night

Room was lovely. The gym equipment was old and broken. I chose this hotel as I use the gym daily. 4 out of 4 cross trainers were not working correctly and very poor quality. Dissapointing.

Hotel is nice however, no one told us you need to book facilities such as the swimming pool before you can use it. The only reason we booked this hotel was because it had a pool and we couldn’t make use of it as it was fully booked, wouldn’t take much to advise pre-booking before your stay. Parking isn’t complimentary - cost us £5, not a lot but not the point, and signs still say it is complimentary! Currently have another pending charge on card but hopefully it’s just a pre-authorisation that will disappear. We understand they were busy but overall disappointing and wouldn’t stay again

Nice hot selection and cereals, some fruit and pastries. Pool is small but pleasant - if you have kids I would just suggest checking swim times. Some times are adults only and these weren't shown on the handout we were given at check in. Lots of parking at £7.50 a day. Near to retail park, bowling and cinema. About 20 min walk into town. Staff were really lovely in all areas of the hotel.

Modern rooms and easy check in. Pool and changing rooms are small and could do with updating.

Quite disappointed in our stay at this hotel. Although the hotel and rooms generally were aesthetically appealing but upon closer inspection, it lacked cleanliness. Found the bath tub unclean and also found a ginger string of long hair in the bath tub (we have black hair). The air conditioning was not working in our room, and it became really hot and uncomfortable to sleep. We had spoke to front reception desk about it, there was no care, or effort to help. We paid a price for a room that included AC, so this is false advertisement. A shame about the swimming 45minutes slot too, would be great to have a bit more time. However, we must say the breakfast was enjoyable and did have a positive experience. The breakfast staff and also cleaning staff were the only friendly and polite staff at the hotel.

Check in was slow as there was a long queue and only one person on reception, room was nice but the shower constantly dropped. Sauna was dirty, chewing gum stuck to the heater. Swimming pool was dirty, not enough water in for a deck level pool meant all of the surface scum/dirt just hung around on the top of the water.

Tired looking hotel inside particularly Chair in room all torn on the arms tired furnishings not a particularly clean room Swimming pool flooring seen better days chipped tile. One shower not working One lift out of order. Fire plan inadequate hotel needs updating. Very basic hotel.

Really nice hotel, large bar and dining area with plenty of seating. Car parking plenty as well. Staff were polite and friendly. Pool area was nice, with steam room and sauna. Free padlock for the lockers from the pool reception. Food was really nice and plenty full, portions sizes were good even the kids meals. Breakfast was nice with food variety. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable, bathroom on the small side but ok. The only issues we had was the cleanliness of the cutlery, there was still residue of food on the folks and knifes and had to ask staff to change our cutlery, this was also noted withing the cutlery tub at breakfast. Overall good experience.

Family of five (2 teens, 1 10 year old). Good space but sofa beds not comfy and very creaky! Room was mostly clean but there was some rubbish and big lumps of dust/dirt next to one of the beds. We checked in late so I brought it to their attention the next day and nothing had changed by the time we got back that evening. Very disappointing. Lovely pool. Fantastic breakfast. Really lovely bar space for the evening and a great feel. Overall a good stay.

Stayed for a business trip in the area and it suited my needs. Friendly staff, good food, comfortable rooms. Only let down slightly by slow WIFI speed in my room.

Stay here every year for our annual Alton towers trip! Had a bit of confusion with the booking as kids were left off and hadn't been booked for breakfast but reception sorted it quickly upon check-in. Only problem we had was with the heating, we were out in the cold and rain all day and when we got back to the hotel the heater was off and the thermostat on the wall didn't work so we were all a bit cold. We called reception and they did turn the heating on manually but only for an hour and then it went off again. Would have been nice to have a working thermostat in the room so we could control the heating ourselves. Not sure if this was just a fault on our room or if they're all like this. Other than that good stay as usual and will be back next year!

it was ok. not having AC in this day and age makes sleeping difficult as the room is always hot. a fan is not a good enough option

We stayed here recently and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel is modern, stylish, and well-maintained. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious—one of the best we’ve had at a hotel! The only major downside was the location of our room. We were given a top-floor room (room 311, I believe), which was unfortunately right next to the lifts. Every few minutes throughout the night, we could hear the lift mechanisms loudly kicking into action, which made it really difficult to get a proper night’s sleep—something you’d expect as a given when booking a hotel stay. That said, we would absolutely stay again as the hotel itself was great. But next time, we’ll be requesting a room far away from the lifts!

Should be called double disasters. We arrived around 5pm when we got to our room it felt like we were in a night club the music was coming right through the ceiling and we were on the 2nd floor it felt like you were in the bar you could hear the DJ speaking etc. I immediately went to reception and was told the hotel holds functions and weddings and that the wedding hasn't even started yet it starts a 7 and should be over at 11.30 I then asked 11.30 on the dot she replied well before 12am. I explained we had to get up at 7am so disaster number two comes into play they split our family suite up into two rooms when we went into these rooms we couldn't breathe with the heat I presumed the air-con hadn't been turned on it's was 27c in our room and 26.5 in the other room it was a cloudy overcast outside 16c so we rang reception and they said there is no air-con and they can give us a fan and complimentary water. Seriously avoid this hell hole we couldn't sleep a wink all night sweating, blocked nose, dry throat worse than a heat wave in Spain.

Property was ok. Not enough staff. Service very slow. Sofa bed in family room virtually unusable….springs poking through….incredibly uncomfortable. Room very hot even with air con switched in.

Broken blind was being fixed when we arrived, much to the confusion of the guy fixing it at the time. Had to go to the bar and wait for it to be fixed which was not a problem. When we then used the blind, it broke. Meaning it was stuck open for the stay. Towel rail was broken too, pillows flat, etc. no air con, despite unit on the wall. “They don’t have Air con at the Hilton, but there is a fan in the cupboard”. Service was lovely, lady behind the counter was lovely, everything looked nice and was clean enough.

We had booked a Delux King room for one night. After checking in and dropping our luggage in the room we went straight to the pool which looks considerably smaller in reality than what it does on the website. We then left the hotel for an evening meal at a local restaurant. When we returned and entered our room around 8.45pm there was very loud music and a DJ's voice blaring in our room! It was so loud that we could hear every word the DJ spoke and could have sung along to each tune if we'd been inclined to! The thud of the base was vibrating through the floor. I rang reception and complained and was told there was a wedding reception on the ground floor ... we were on the 3rd floor!!! ... and they would ask them to tone it down. Around 30 minutes later there was no change whatsoever. We put the tv on quite loud to try and drown out the noise but it even overpowered the tv. I rang reception again and was told the party was going on until around 11.30pm, so i requested a different room. The only room available was a basic twin room which wasn't what I had originally booked, but we took it just to get away from the noise. So, we had to repack our clothes, toilettries and belongings and move everything to a different room, on a different floor. When we checked out I spoke with a receptionist and explained what had happened; we were refunded £30, the difference between the 2 rooms! The manager didnt even come across and speak to us as requested! Appalling service

The hotel has no air conditioning in the room and it’s summer. It means I’m unable to sleep.

Staff were top notch from the housekeeping to reception and restaurant teams! Great location for waterpark and local shops. Most importantly the stay starts off with the best cookies I’ve ever tasted and I’m a self proclaimed home baker, Rooms were spacious and queen size beds were American sized so definitely larger than the standard uk queen/double bed . Meticulous turn down service and lovely toiletries . Definitely love this chain of hotels !

We had a lovely stay and the room, restaurant and pool were all lovely. The staff in the restaurant in the evening were exceptionally lovely. We had a slight problem on check in due to a mix up with another family of the same name staying who had been given our room in error, however check in staff were very apologetic and quickly sorted the mistake. We got our room within 30 minutes along with complementary drinks vouchers.

Our stay was amazing thanks to the staff n most especially the manager called. Alaaeldin , he was so good n professional. His customer service was top notch. He deserve a raise. My self n family had a great time thanks to him, this is one of the best times ever spent there. Kindly let him know that he did well. The best manager ever .

Staff was very rude at the bar. No change so would alwasy be short given change back literally threw the 5 note on the bar. Very rude 😒

Great staff but not enough of them the queue to check in was ridiculous and only one lovely lady on front desk doing her best. Likewise breakfast queue not enough seats and big queue to be given a table. Not what you expect for the stars claimed by the hotel. Leisure facilities very dated and scruffy also overcrowded. Not value for money all things considered.

We requested 2 cots and phoned up to confirm and was moved to a cheaper room because 2 cots wouldn’t fit in our room we had booked. Even though I was told they was the same size rooms but a sofa bed instead of a queen bed. It was all confirmed so after a long day travelling and 2 tired young children we showed up and went to the room to find no cots. I went straight to reception who told me due to the large wedding they had run out of cots and that somebody should have phoned me up. I told them I had rang up to to confirm everything and even been moved rooms. The lady said she would have to go argos and get some. But wouldn’t take long less then 30 mins . Bear in mind it was already 18:45 but all good it was being resolved we could get kids ready for bed and then straight to bed. 30mins has gone I go down to reception the lady is still there. I didn’t say anything in case someone else had gone out. I went back down 25 mins later she was telling someone she had to go out. Another 25 mins later she knocked on our door with cots from another hotel telling us that the shop was shut. By this point the children was over tired and 1 wouldn’t stop crying. It took us another hour to get them both to sleep. Terrible experience. To top it off the hotel has no aircon just 2 very cheap and unpowerful fans in the room meaning it was 27degrees in the room Needless to say for the cost and a Hilton chain of hotels it was all a joke and a premier inn would have been nicer and cheaper

Booked two nights for a birthday treat to visit my daughter at University. Staff friendly, helpful, restaurant food was good. Hotel clean, shower really hot. Breakfast Buffett was good. First night, room cold had to sleep in a jumper, heating was on a timer, the heating went off the room was cold, gadget on the wall didn’t work, pillows were air filled and not supportive. Only one lift working and the noise from the lift kept us awake all night.It would seem the seals on the windows had failed. Next day staff extremely helpful, gave us an upgrade, moved us away from the lift, gave us two memory foam pillows, provided an oil filled heater and some small cakes for my birthday. The room change was a big difference, the room was warm all night but one window seal was still poor. So Customer Service was excellent. Advice, at the moment avoid rooms near the lift due to noise. Window seals need checking in the hotel.

The check in was terrible, the stay went from bad to worse. Would not stay again

Lovely hotel, and super friendly and helpful staff. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Particular thanks to Jane, Geogia and Anca who were very helpful, friendly and professional. There were several other staff who were equally good, but I can't remember all the names. Our first time here, but we will definitely come again!

Clean Good location Easy access

The hotel facilities, rooms and staff were excellent. The only thing that let it down was that we went half board and despite having a good food allowance the evening meal was diabolical. Firstly our meals were overcooked then the second time they arrived, the order was incorrect. We also asked if we could pre-order the children's meals to take to the room when we finished in the restaurant, but it was prepared to early and was given to us cold do the children didn't eat that evening.

The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. One of our group had several allergies and everything was so well organised for her food with lots of options. Particularly at breakfast with Kelly who really looked after us thank you :)

We enjoyed a very nice dinner in the bistro, after a relaxing spell in the sauna and pool. Just a one night stay but all good. Needs a bigger restaurant and additional coffee station at breakfast. Staff lovely.

Friendly staff throughout, Clean . Comfortable beds , quick check In with free cookies , affordable parking . Best of all food was delicious . The roast dinner was superb . Breakfast also faultless

The bathroom door did not close correctly and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast. When we finally was seated there were no plates, cups, glasses, the coffee machine did not work and there was no food left. We had to have breakfast somewhere else as it was so bad. I complained to reception who said that they would refund the breakfast charge, but I am still waiting for the money.

Room clean and comfortable, gym/spa lovely, breakfast over subscribed, had to wait 15mins for a glass/cup/plate, and very limited vegan food, apparently had ‘run out’ of vegan butter and sausages, also hash browns and mushrooms cooked in butter.
