Not a bad place, room was a nice size with comfy bed, tea/coffee making, nice bathroom. Checkin/out very easy. Ample free parking. Good bar and restraunt. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Swift check in and friendly reception staff. Rooms and corridors look tired and worn can do with a refurb. Lobby area is decent and plenty of seating. Breakfast had a good veriety and all was well and regularly topped up. Kelly stood out for service from the breakfast area, happy to deal with specific dietary needs and hot drinks such as hot chocolate for the kids. Car park was busy but good cctv coverage. In this day and age, surprised no EV charging facilities. Overall, disappointed about how worn the rooms were, average hotel but expected better room standards.

Two night stay overall good. Much improved device and food compared to our stay two years ago. If the menu for food is important to you then be aware that the menu on the web covers samples from across all the mercure hotels . Some items are not available in Swansea The same is true of the bar stock. No alcohol free beers available. So much for encouraging no drink and driving prior to Christmas

A very handy hotel for visiting Swansea or Morriston including the hospital, some 10 to 15 minutes drive away. Clean, reasonably comfortable, heating and hotwater problem was obvious during our stay. Good service, nice food and a large bar/ lounge on site . Free parking with some dog friendly rooms.

We only stayed the one night as a stopover. The welcome from Summer on reception was cheerful and helpful, despite being late in the day. After a long journey the Welsh cakes were a nice treat. The bar was comfortable, but the furniture needs a clean. The menu was varied and the food freshly prepared. The bar staff were friendly and professional. Plenty of parking and quiet area.

Good location and breakfast. Dirty room, beds broken, no aircon, fans dusty, leaking water from the shower, wet spot on the carpet because of leak somewhere. Dirty car park. Definitely not worth money they charge.

Average, definitely not a 4 star hotel. 3 at best. The downstairs area around reception and restaurant was nice but the room needs some serious work done. Obviously hasn't been updated/renovated/maintained in quite some time. Carpet was filthy, chairs very dirty and the bathroom really needs to be re done. Bed was clean and comfy, shower warm, everything else needs work. Bit disappointing really.

Nice staff, nice breakfast. The rooms were a little “tired” and dated, although the rooms were cleaned in general I found the carpets were stained, the curtains had a bit of mould on them and the furniture were worn out.

Plus points: Had a pleasant stay at Mercure Swansea. Room was big, bed was comfortable, whole place was very clean, and hotel was conveniently situated to get into city centre. Minus points: My wife found that the hot water was not hot enough for her bath (though it was warm enough for me!). We were offered vouchers for breakfast for £12 when we arrived which we bought for 2 mornings of our stay but they weren’t great value. The receptionist said he “would give us £10 if we couldn’t find what we wanted on the breakfast menu- they had everything!”. This was a bold statement and I claim my tenner, as there was no porridge, no bananas and no croissants on the mornings when we had breakfast in the hotel. Which was disappointing frankly. I ended up having cereal and toast, and fruit juice and coffee. I’m pretty sure that would’ve cost less than £12 elsewhere.

Ideal, quiet location and plenty of parking. Rooms are comfortable, clean and nice touch having a sofa to sit on. Booking in was very easy with pleasant staff. We didnt eat in restaurant so can't comment on food.

We only stayed one night so the hotel was ok, it seems a little old and run down, and the sink in my room was blocked and drained away slowly. I did not report this until the morning of departure as it was too late by the time we used the sink in the bathroom.Staff were all very friendly.

The signs directing to rooms were a bit confusing. There wasn't much tea and coffee provided but I'm sure we could have had more if we had time to ask. There wasn't much room to hang clothes but I guess it's not designed for a long stay. Staff very helpful, particularly on reception. Food was tasty and well presented.

The hotel is clean, with good free parking and friendly staff. It is a little dated I guess which doesn't particularly matter except for the fact all the floors in the rooms and corridors upstairs creak. Everytime someone went past my room it was quite loud and creaky. Also the tap in my bathroom leaked, so as soon as you turned it on it flooded the sink area.

Average hotel. Room was ok but the bed was very small for two people. Walls were very thin making it a quite noisy. The breakfast was average. Packets of cereal, not much selection of fruits. Hot counter served dry shrivelled mushrooms and dry hard fried eggs. The staff were really nice and friendly.

The food at the hotel was lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast. The restaurant staff were very friendly and very attentive. The bar was adequately stocked, but I think they missed a trick. The hotel is pretty close to Penderyn distillery , yet stock nothing of their range. I for one would definitely have spent more at the bar if more Welsh or local beverages had been on offer. A black dragon cider would have been preferable to a bland Singha beer, or a penderyn single malt over whatever generic brand X whisky. The only other issue was the shower in the room was very underpowered. Not sure if it's a water pressure issue, but there was no way to use it effectively without having the shower head in you hand & even then it was not great. Overall, due to the lovely friendly team looking after us,.we would stay again.

Bathroom was really poor with mould marks on ceiling and tiles. Bathroom door had damage to the bottom. Locking the bathroom door in the middle of the night, sounded as if you were locking up Alcatraz prison! Staff were not particularly welcoming. However on leaving we were told to enjoy our day.

Hotel is located outside Swansea away from a town. Public areas are nice and modern with a restaurant . Prices were on the high side for an out of town hotel so we chose not to eat in the restaurant. Hotel room was clean and had a comfy large bed , but the fixtures and carpet suggested it needed a refurb . Used Tesco vouchers so was a good value 2 nigh stay

If you wish to enjoy the place you must visit with your car, and if you are not visiting with your car don't plan to leave the hotel early on a Sunday. My experience was a nightmare as we were unable to get a uber we eventually missed our coach back home

Hotel was OK. Rooms are showing their age a bit and my sink was damaged. But we’re clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant area are nice Food was good and reasonably priced. Drinks at the bar on the other hand were extortionate! It must be the most expensive pint in Wales. £6.45 plus 10% service charge for a pint.
