2nd recent overnight stay at the Village. Had a club room this time which I preferred as it was larger and better furnished. Onsite good gym, parking and Starbucks all a plus. Couple of areas for improvement: breakfast - not very exciting range of choices and pet peeve of concentrated orange and apple juice which seems a bit naff. Internet is also not the greatest here - just about ok for work purposes but could do with an upgrade

Very nice hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom tidy and clean. Restaurant was open to public also so busy, but food was reasonably priced and tasty. Shame they still charge you £5 for parking even when staying at the hotel.

Club room was great. Comfortable bed, good view of the port, great shower and great smart TV. Coffee machine was a nice touch and the Gym and pool package was good. Not so good was the lift not working although the staff were taking people up in the staff lift if needed. I was on the 5th floor though! The restaurant was slow, and screaming kids that the parents couldn't control! Food was good but 35 minute wait! Changing rooms were being refurbished so I was warned against using them as not secure.

We decided to book this hotel as it looked an upgrade on a premier inn. It wasn’t ! The room bathroom was dirty, there was a rusty plug hole. We had half used toilet roll and the toilet was dirty too. The air con didn’t work and would go below 19 degrees even if it had worked. Too noisy for the window to be open as it was a Mecca for drinkers. It was like a weatherspoons down at reception. Breakfast was stone cold every day and the selection of continental was ok. Although there were no muffins on two of the days. They had no hot chocolate satchets either in the middle of the summer holidays ?? The walk to the room had bright paint and carpets but it was filthy and needed hoovering very badly. Very dissapointed. When I raised the fact rhey had taken £30 from my account they promptly came back to and said they would refund in 2-3 days and I’ve heard nothing back to any of my follow ups. Very poor ! The staff are friendly but it by no means makes up for the hotel being so run down and poorly managed.

Placed in a room next to gym where music was playing so loudly you could hear every beat. No solution offered by staff. Went in until around 9pm and then again from 7am. Bathroom was dirty. Have stayed before but never experienced this.

The property is in a great area close to bars and restaurants in town, marina and SA1. The staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms and corridors/ stairs and landing are looking a bit worn out, stains on carpet, dust on skirtings and windowsills etc. Bathroom had mould in the shower and bath. Saying that though I would stay there again as very convenient location and has a great bar area which serves food too.

The bar and restaurant were nice. It's not far to walk to the beach or the center of town. The food was nice but breakfast was a bit poor on one of our mornings. The bathroom was a bit worn, mouldy and dirty but other than that we had a great stay.

Friendly staff but IMPOSSIBLE to contact the hotel before or during the stay. Room was not well cleaned, bed linen was stained and torn, bathtub enamel was chipped leaving a large rusty hole, extractor fan did not work. Half of room service order was missing and they allowed me to buy items that weren't even available. Only way to contact the team was a web-chat that after 30 minutes had still not been answered and I gave up waiting. A disappointing experience overall.

I have raised a complaint which has not been dealt with, there was fecal matter in the carpet of the disabled room I booked, a used earbuds and a ball of hair by the bed too. Facilities and staff were lovely however.

Ok so there was 2 adults and two preteen children staying in the room. The ac didn’t work! The staff were absolutely great in trying to help us but ultimately couldn’t. An engineer came to the room and looked at the ac, blowing warm air and told us that the ac wouldn’t work properly as it was above the swimming pool and the ac being set at 19c’. A.. if this is the case our room should have been put on the other end of the hotel. B. I think this may have been a bit of a lie. The ac was blowing warm air. The staff gave us two fans, which helped but not massively. We woke up every morning with headaches due to the heat.

We book two rooms for ourselves, and our family. The hotel was ok, but instead of a nice view of the sea, our room was looking at a big black box with hill at the back of the hotel. The shower head couldn’t be adjusted, and kept swinging to the left soaking the bathroom floor and hopeless to get showered. The sofa next to our two single beds had dubious stains. But the worst part, we were woken at 6.15am with what can only be described as the loudest house music with a thumping beat, plus someone shouting at decibels. We called reception who apologized because our room was situated over spin class!! It went on for an hour! I’d never want to stay at this hotel ever again. To be fair, the reception staff and restaurant staff were brilliant! No complaints there.

Heating in the room didn't work, needed a portable fan heater which I asked for. Aircon kept thinking it had reached 23c but was more like 18c which just wasn't warm enough. Internet access was so slow it was almost unusable, I couldn't watch any YouTube videos and websites were slow to load. It started working better very late on when I assume most people were sleeping (past 11pm) and demand was lower. Average experience overall. Staff were friendly though and breakfast was ok.

Spinning class beneath my room started at 5.45AM loss of sleep and all control from hotel, I thought a hotel was for relaxation and sleeping not being woken up at 5.45AM, a full refund should be offered as a minimum requirement, I await a reply

This place was modern and trendy but sadly missed out on sound proofing. We were on the second floor and there was music blaring from the event space on the floor below till after 1am each night. The room was otherwise comfortable if a little shabby in the bathroom. The breakfast was fine. Was hoping to use this place regularly to visit my daughter at University down the road, but I will pay more to stay somewhere else next time

Stayed in many Village hotels and find them generally very good, however the slight issue with this one seemed to be the experience of some of the staff, some not very customer friendly and came over as bored or couldn't wait to go home, several mix ups with both my dinners too.

Brilliant stay at The Village hotel, very friendly staff, really good facilities including the gym/spa and having a Starbucks next door was brilliant. The staff even arranged a super early morning breakfast option before my Ironman race, great service.

Village Hotels are always a nice stay, but they went better than usual by prepping early breakfasts from 4am for those participating in the Swansea Ironman on the weekend. Great service.

Whilst we had a lovely time, the room was not made up by house keeping on the day were staying over again, and only one towel provided. When we went to say something the receptionist didn’t even look up.

We found Langdon Road, as the address suggested, but went up and down three times to find the Hotel. There didn't appear to be a sign to direct us to the Hotel, which was tucked behind the blocks of flats. As a result, we were stressed when we arrived. I think we were expected to use Sat Nav, which we do not use.

I tried the village as my friend normally uses them (not the Swansea one though) so I paid a bit more than my usual and gave it a go. Never again though. Worst breakfast I have ever had. - ended up going elsewhere and I stay away a lot!!

Good hotel , modern and stylish Nice to be met with pleasant receptionist who informed me that food available till ten . Unlike other hotels you could mention who use any excuse they can to close the bar and restaurant ! Food pretty good too Recommend this hotel

Deplorable and inedible (didn't even put it on my plate it was so bad) and should never have been put out No management feedback considering the content of the feedback.

Nice room, comfortable, quiet and warm. Busy busy hotel and leisure facilities. Busy bar with decent evening food at a fair price. Breakfast was awful on so many levels and I was disappointed to be changed three different prices for the same drink, even after complaining.

There were a few things I could mention about my stay, but the main one that really stood out was the cost of a children’s jacket potato with beans. I genuinely wish I could include a picture of what they served—it’s hard to believe they charged £10 for it. Absolutely ludicrous. And before anyone reading this says, “Just pick something else,” this was an allergy-directed meal. It wasn’t about being picky—it was about safety. To make things worse, the air conditioning actually made the room hotter. It ended up being a rough night’s sleep, which definitely affected the overall experience.

Was very let down with my stay, food wasn’t very good at all, breakfast or my dinner I ordered to my room, I ate away after that. The rooms have very thin walls and you can hear everything, people using toilet, conversations. Last night a delivery lorry pulled up at just before midnight banging around and making lots of noise. Right at front of hotel under my room window. Overall bad experience

Brilliant stay, staff accommodation. Breakfast not very organised, no cups, milk etc. Nothing topped up or checked regularly. We had to keep asking for things but staff didn't acknowledge with a smile would just walk off and get what was needed. Not what you expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall would stay again but unsure if we would book breakfast!
