We enjoyed the location, the clean room, and the friendly staff, especially the guy at the pantry shop and the bartender. It did get very noisy and didn’t like the fact we had to pay for internet. Every other place we have stayed has been free. Other than those complaints, we do enjoy our stay

Our room was beautiful with view on the ocean. Breakfast was very good. Beds are comfortable. Reception passed our request for a bucket of ice cubes on, put it took 3 calls and 50 minutes before we got it.Thanks to Allan from reception we were able to celebrate finally. Special thanks to Allan. The heated pool did not seem to be heated at all.

Fabulous hotel in great location, staff are efficient and friendly and the pool and bars and restaurants first class The only thing I didn't like was paying for parking and internet. Parking I can understand as there is plenty of space to park in side streets, but the internet should be free

This was a pretty nice hotel with great views of the ocean, but everything costs extra despite it not being a 5 star hotel. Parking is $35 a night which is WAY overpriced. Wifi is $25 a day which is RIDICULOUS and should be included. Other than that, the hotel is clean, quiet and safe.

A great hotel right by the ocean. Has several restaurants on the ground floor and neighbouring for plenty of dining options. The room was clean and well appointed. It had a nice balcony over looking the ocean. People do seem to feed the native birds it seems, so expect visitors if you go to sit outside. The bar/ restaurant at reception was a nice surprise. Friendly staff and a good menu with a great drinks selection. Friday and Saturday nights they had solo acoustic musicians playing that added a great atmosphere. The beach is across the road with lifesavers if you want to go swimming and a popular walking spot too.

Loved the location and the food options around the hotel. The beach is right across the road! The he staff were lovely and check in and out was a breeze. Beautiful lobby too. Unfortunately our room smelt musty (very overwhelming). Also found hair in our bathroom that was not ours! My hubby is bald, my kids are blonde and I’m a redhead and this hair found was dark (several strands). Disappointing seeing as we paid a decent amount for one night thinking we would sleep well but the smell was not great. We did love the breakfast! Great value for the extra $50

The property boasts ‘sound proof’ rooms which is why we booked. Unfortunately it was definitely not sound proof and was located outside the local drag race intersection. Drag racing, burn outs and very loud engine noises that stopped about 3am. Not what was advertised and not fit for purpose

On arriving I was provided a room on the 7th floor on the southern side. Room was good, nice office area, however it was quite noisy...and the window had dislocated from the frame so there was a noticeable gap...which is why I could hear traffic as if I was outside. I complained and was provided another room, this time on the 10th floor..1027....I have never slept in a more noisy room....I literally had to sleep with earpods till about 11pm...and then take them out...still noise but went to sleep with earplugs....the traffic, wind, ocean all provided a constant barrage of noise...I will never EVER stay here and would not recommend this hotel to anyone...maybe I had a bad room??? but even so...final comments...if you want a quiet nights sleep, maybe stay somewhere else.

Breakfast was good & the room was excellent only thing which was disappointing was the mattress as it was too soft and it felt like you were in a sink hole. My wife ended up sleeping on the couch. Wouldn’t hurt to drop the cost of parking. Overall we were very happy.

The room was lovely and comfortable, and the bathroom had a great shower. The only complaint about the room was that the fridge made a weird clicking noise throughout the night. Our main issue with our stay was the lack of friendly service at check-in, as the man didn't tell us about the hotel's facilities or even seemed interested in talking to us. The young woman who served us at the bar that night was equally flat in her customer service. Thankfully, the lady checking us out the next day was friendly and conversational. It would also be helpful to know the price of parking your car at the hotel when you're booking, as we were blindsided by the cost when checking in.

Disappointed with the Novotel on this occasion. After staying numerous times before with no issues I arrived at 9pm for my stay to be told there was no booking even though I had the confirmation in my hand, then after some looking around on their system they found the booking stating a system error. No real apologies. Bed was super comfy and room was great. Next morning I was unable to have a shower as there was no hot water, so no shower before a day of meetings. I advised the front desk and there was no support, no offer of using a shower in another room or anything. Very disappointing stay this time.

The location is great right in front of the beach. Room was clean and comfortable beds. The air conditioning was broken in our room so we couldn’t get a good sleep through out the night due to the heat and need to use a fan instead. The front desk staff are unfriendly except a young guy which was very helpful to bring us the fan in the middle of the night.

The reception staff were extremely efficient and friendly. On a couple of occasions, we spoke with housekeeping staff in passing and they were also very friendly and nice! Parking on site was easy and the hotel is in a great location. We will definitely return again!

We stayed for one night and had an overall mixed experience. Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist was incredibly friendly, providing clear instructions for parking and helping us locate the EV charger, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel for our family getaway. The room itself was clean and tidy, and while we had booked a city view, we were pleasantly surprised by glimpses of the beach and lighthouse from our window. Unfortunately, when we returned later that evening, all the EV charging bays were occupied by petrol vehicles, leaving us with no option to charge overnight. Despite the parking system requiring registration of vehicle details, the receptionist on duty at the time was unhelpful and offered no solutions, which was quite frustrating. Dinner at North Bar was a highlight — the gentleman who served us was fantastic. He went out of his way to fetch drinks from the restaurant when the bar ran out and gave us a heads-up just before the kitchen closed, which we really appreciated. It was a busy Saturday night with a wedding on-site, which likely contributed to the less-than-clean state of shared amenities, including the bathrooms. We also had some issues with the swipe cards, which were a bit temperamental and left us briefly stuck in the lift. Overall, the hotel has some great features and friendly staff, but there are areas for improvement, especially in managing EV charging and maintaining facilities during busy periods.

Was a good stay. But QR codes didn’t work in room so was a stuff around to order breakfast.. Breakfast was ordered for 8am but didn’t come to room till 8.45am & was cold when it arrived.. That put a bit of a downer on our stay.. But the staff was fantastic.

A beautiful hotel located right across from the beach. We had a great stay with family. The rooms were spacious and clean and were given beach views which was a bonus. The staff were all pleasant at both check in and checking out. Brrakfast buffet was great with a large selection of foods. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent service, staff were very friendly and helpful- location was very ideal, very close to the beach. Excellent restaurant options at the hotel. Loved the happy hour at Pepe’s. The Drift bar, the fireplace and Xmas ambiance was amazing. Very child friendly hotel. Highly recommended.
