Didn’t realise this little gem was here. Will be our go to place in Wollongong from now on. Very clean and comfortable. Great location. So handy having the bar and bistro on site as well as plenty of parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Great venue and stayed a few nights. Had great lunch and dinner so recommend if you are staying have a bite to eat really tasty. Parking easy out the back! Would definitely recommend and would stay again in the future!

We absolutely loved our 4 day stay. Our room 20 was so clean and very modern. The lift was so handy. Staff across all denominations were so very helpful. Our room was serviced daily with treats and fresh towels etc. Dining and entertainment were excellent. Lots of things to do in Wollongong. We had family to dine here, very nice. The rooms are pretty cozy and spacious, and bathrooms are pretty big. Easy too given there is onsite parking. Overall a very comfortable stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coniston Hotel - high quality rooms with lots of space, good food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. The accommodation was much better than I had expected and is probably the best I’ve ever seen in a suburban hotel.

Possibly short staffed as it took a while for a person to appear at front desk for check-in. One bathroom towel was worn to the point of nearly having a hole in it. Quiet stay and A/C worked well. Restaurant food was good even though ordered lunch at the bar and had to pick it up from the kitchen ourselves. Overall, an adequate place for the price.

I am a Japanese but stayed in Wollongong several times. The room is neat and tidy. I made a mistake in checking out date, but the staff member arranged the replacement hotel etc. When I offered a tip to him, he said it is a pure duty of the hotel member and didn't accept the tip, which impressed me very much. The bistro together with the pub is cozy. Although this is not in the center of Wollongong, still conveniently located and the price is very reasonable compared to other hotels in Wollongong.

We arrived really late (1 am) which we had advised the hotel earlier of scheduled arrival time and then called them on the way to reconfirm the arrival time. On arrival at front desk, the paperwork wasnt ready. Then we were given keys to a room that was already occupied by a woman and we could access the room as there is no lock inside (we used the key card and opened the door and shocked her). We then were offered a smaller room and contacted Hotels.com next day who organised a single day refund (for our two day booking - thanks Hotel.com). Today on checkout at 8 am, no one was at reception at Coniston and we gave a key to a person who was washing the rear entry where we exited to car park. All in all, unsure if we will return to the said premise but happy with Hotel.com service

Checking in was difficult as only one staff member holding bar and check in (staff member was wonderful when got opportunity to attend us ) Room was beautifully appointed , big tv , good bathroom . Extremely LOUD compressors outside our room grr no freezer in fridge , without this , room was very nice .

A fire alarm went off at 1.15 am. The staff were unprofessional and provided little communication. Had it not been a false alarm the consequences could have been bad. They seemed to be untrained for emergencies..

Small, dark and dingy room although clean and functional. Bistro food not cheap and chef's special of Barramundi overcooked, swamped by a sauce and mostly bone! Staff pleasant enough but no breakfast facilities or at least none that I was made aware of.
