Hotel is in a great location and perfect for a first trip to Salzburg. One caution if you are driving you cannot enter the area of the hotel unless you push a button at the bollards near by. We had no idea and then started pushing the button, labeled for the hotel, and no one answered the phone to allow the bollards to lower. Finally a taxi did it for us. When we were checking in we mentioned no one was answering and the desk agent said she "was on the phone with a customer and couldn't answer" other than that, we would highly recommend the hotel.

Our room was on the top floor. It is a walk up as the elevator only reaches fourth floor. View was of the building behind and the mountaintops. Very touristy area. Showering resulted in A LOT of water leaking out onto floor due to shower door and high pressure water. Clean and comfortable room. No A/C but floor fan provided.

Very central location. Hotel is great but rooms are small, really small. We had a two bed room and besides a couple carry on bags there really isn’t much room for more so be aware of you have big check in suitcases. Shower is also small. It’s all doable but if your expecting/needing more area in the room, consider elsewhere. Also elevator only runs to 4th floor not to the 5th.

Very cool place, location was excellent, parking was ridiculous!!! Had to drop luggage and park 10 minutes away, however I was able to enter the square but unable to leave. So I parked illegally for free but what a cluster, not sleeping for fear of being towed!!! Fine stay other than crazy parking issue.

유료 주차자에서 도보 3분거리, 모짜르트광장 등 주요관광지 모두 도보로 이용하기에 부담이 없는 위치. 엘리베이터 있고 오후9시 이후 도착시 미리 전화해서 미리 키 준비해주셔서 체크인하는데 문제가 없었음.

Great property located in the middle of art, museums, monuments and historic buildings. Staff very friendly and accommodating! A car park garage is necessary if you are driving as the streets here are pedestrian friendly and limited traffic is controlled by coded bollard. No big deal as the result is lots of walking without the traffic!

The room for four was big with lots of space. The staff was great and very helpful. This hotel is a very short walk away from the Christmas markets and the shopping. My only issue is getting to the hotel if you are in a car. You have to put up to a barricade system, push a button with Weisse Taube written next to it. I was looking for "ALTSTADTHOTEL" and not "Weisse Taube". When you hit the button they give you a 7 digit code to enter that lowers the barricade system and you drive into the city. This code changes every hour. You drive down some narrow roads to the hotel and park the best you can to unload. Then you check in and have to drive your car back outside of the downtown area using that code to get past another barricade system. You circle the block coming back to the area of the original barricade system and they have a parking garage on your right. The parking garage is not for the faint of heart... it's TIGHT. You get parked and then walk the 10 minutes back to the hotel. Checking out is the same process to get your car back to the hotel to load back up. The location of this hotel makes it all worth it. You care 150-200 feet from the start of the Christmas Markets and shops.

I have one major problem with this hotel: there is no elevator to the 5th floor-- this means that guests must carry their own (heavy) baggage up a steep flight of stairs. There are no hotel staff to help. This is dangerous, especially for elders and children. As a result, I would rate this a 3 star hotel, clearly not a 4 star hotel.

The property was in an excellent location. Super walkable to all major attractions and lots of restaurants near by. The room had good storage but no air conditioning. It wasn’t even that hot out but the room was stuffy and we couldn’t open the window at night of our stay because it was too noisy. The floor was gritty the second night which led us to believe the floor wasn’t swept/vacuumed that day.

We originally booked outside of Old town and changed at the last minute to this property. Sooo glad we did! The location could not have been better. Easy easy walk to everything. Did not need a car at all. This hotel was absolutely perfect. Close to EVERYTHING. You will regret it if you book anywhere else. Rooms were super clean. Staff was more than helpful. Not having been to Salzburg before we were not sure but after staying here we knew we made the right choice. If you are a first time traveler to this city hope this review helps. You can book here with total confidence. You will not be disappointed, I promise you!! One note on restaurants, if you get tired of Schnitzel there is an Irish bar and restaurant literally 30 feet from the front door of the hotel that is awesome. Great hamburgers! Enjoy your stay!!

The hotel itself was decent enough but is more of a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. Bathroom was a bit dirty, and the hotel and the room are just ok but felt like the photos weren’t true representation of the hotel itself. We did not at breakfast so can’t comment on that but the best part is the location.

We had a great time in Salzburg staying at this hotel. You could not ask for a more convenient location right in the heart of Old Town! Very clean, comfortable beds, and lovely, helpful staff. The restaurant next door (Zwettler’s) was fantastic. Highly recommend!

A quiet, clean, and pretty place. Conveniently located near the main squares of Salzburg, and near transportation. Staff is super easy to communicate with. Some facilities were not cleaned/maintained properly (hair in shower, unusual continuous creaking of floors/pipes, unwashed kettle). But nothing concerning enough to not recommend this place. Great stay for the value!

It’s not a 4 star or any star property. Besides the location there’s nothing else to give marks on . The rooms are dark and no air conditioning. They don’t clean the floors and didn’t replace used coffee mugs. Staff has take ig or leave it attitude.

We reserved a room with 3 twin beds, but got a room with a single twin and a king bed. Hotels in Europe don't seem to believe in top sheets, but give each bed a separate duvet, which we could not use because the room was so hot. We had to ask for top sheets for each bed. Also they don't believe in washcloths in the bathrooms. It was so hot in the room that we had to leave the windows wide open to the public street ( no air conditioning, just fans), so had to listen to noise and have street lights pouring into the room all night. There were very few outlets and we had to unplug the TV in order to plug a fan in where it would reach the twin bed. Mattresses had foam toppers so were pretty comfortable. Good food at the breakfast buffet. Woman at the desk was very kind and very helpful and seems to be wearing many hats. She did check in and check out and housekeeping as well.

The hotel is in a great area however you can’t drive there because there are gates around old town. You need to make sure to call the hotel and get the address of a parking structure near the hotel, then we had to drag our luggage over from the parking which is about 10 minutes walk. There are gates on both sides of the town that if you are a first timer, you will have a hard time figuring out. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Very minimalistic, barely any toiletries, it’s LOUD and even the fans in the room are loud and have bright lights. So if you can’t leave the window open, you are stuck with loud fans with bright blue lights. Location wise it’s in the middle of everything and the staff was SUPER friendly.

Absolutely fantastic location. Was told there was air conditioning, which wasn't the case, it was only a fan. It was very warm weather and made sleeping difficult. Especially if using the shower which only warmed the room more.

The hotel was close to all major places to see within walking distance. The hotel didn’t have AC and room faced the street side a bit noisy till 1030pm. A oscillating fan available but it sounded like lawn mower a bit too loud. The room was clean and tidy.

The location was incredible!!! The room itself was average. NO AIR CONDITIONING. I didn’t know that a lot of places in the area do not have air conditioning. Our window opened to a walled in square (absolutely no view) so opening our window did not allow for a breeze or circulation. The bathroom was tiny and the pillows were flat. My husband loved the candy in the lobby lol and did I mention the location was fabulous!!!

The central and lovely location was fantastic. Close to the fortress, cathedrals, shopping, restaurants, and more. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Heidi, Marie, Isobel, Shaymon, and all were so welcoming and provided excellent service. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in beautiful Salzburg!

Staff super friendly and helped me through check in for my entire family (I arrived early and solo with 5 people’s luggage). Front desk printed train tickets for me and very helpful in arranging multiple taxis to train station. This is a hotel in an old section of the city and in a historical building so rooms will look and feel accordingly. Rooms are very clean and can’t beat the location and price.

We originally booked outside of Old town and changed at the last minute to this property. Sooo glad we did! The location could not have been better. Easy easy walk to everything. Did not need a car at all. This hotel was absolutely perfect. Close to EVERYTHING. You will regret it if you book anywhere else. Rooms were super clean. Staff was more than helpful. Not having been to Salzburg before we were not sure but after staying here we knew we made the right choice. If you are a first time traveler to this city hope this review helps. You can book here with total confidence. You will not be disappointed, I promise you!! The location was wonderful, within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to do. The hotel is in an historic building therefore it lacks some of the modern conveniences. It makes up for it though, in style and charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salzburg and within the Alrstadhotel Weisse Taube.

We had a great time in Salzburg staying at this hotel. You could not ask for a more convenient location right in the heart of Old Town! Very clean, comfortable beds, and lovely, helpful staff. The restaurant next door (Zwettler’s) was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Ideal location for key tourist sites.Friendly staff. One of the day receptionists was particularly helpful with visit suggestions - and also when we needed to change rooms. Good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. No other meals provided but there are lots of nearby restaurants. BUT the hotel needs new investment. There is no aircon and the plumbing system gave off awful smells. Our ‘premium’ room (52)on the top floor was too hot even in June ( close to 30C and stuffy). We moved to a lower floor which was better. There is no lift to the top floor. The hotel was quite expensive; it needs to offer better value.

We loved this hotel, very nice, and clean and service pefect! everyone was so nice and friendly and great at english!! Onlu thing was the breakfast, it is definitely not worth 30€!! probably the smallest and most expensive buffet we have had! but anyway, again, staff was lovely!! and clean room etc!
