The location and view are amazing. Worth it for the experience. The gym is a little dated, definitely needs updating from the mid 2000s vibe. Breakfast buffet on Sunday was a big disappointment. Dirty tables, not enough staff, not enough food for the crowd. Cloud 9 bar is cool, but slow service and limited menu. Typical post-pandemic Chinese hotel lack of English skills throughout.

Great location in one of the tallest towers in the Shanghai Finance district and only a short walk to the nearest station (and one stop on the train to The Bund). Very impressive interior and an excellent breakfast. The only negative would be the price of some of the drinks in the various bars including a pot of tea for 468RMB.

This was definately a nice hotel but do not expect a 5 star experience. Long lines at the check in, crowded breakfast buffet, aged rooms, a bar which only opens from 5pm, etc. But, definately nice views, the reason I think most people want to stay here.

You wont be disappointed staying here. The view is breathtaking. Rooms are spacious and very well organized with a good size bath and shower. Couple of english speaking channels on TV including CNN. Rooms are serviced in a timely manner each day and staff very friendly. Buffet breakfasr caters for western and Asian style foods and is very extensive. Suggest going to Cloud 9 (bar and restaurant) it's a bit hidden but well worth the exploration to find it upwards if level 80!

Amazing hotel. Great pool and gym. Communication in English was difficult but everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The area isn’t that lively at night but still a great stay at the views are great.

This was one of the worst hotel stays. Firstly right from Check in the fridge was broken and smelled like burnt rubber. The WiFi was shoddy. And the AC never got the room cold. Then we found out that the bathroom light was broken. We reported this multiple times - they came, fixed it, then then next morning it didn’t turn on again. It was exhausting. The windows of the hotel are filthy so you don’t even get a good view from your room.

Amazing views and room quality. I was offered an upgrade but wasn’t told the price. It was bit expensive though worth it. Would be good to be told rate ahead of time. I had problems with connecting to WiFi and was unable to connect due to some routing error.

The room was modern and very pretty. Location was great, it’s right next to the tallest building in Shanghai and very close to the metro stop. Yet, the walls were too thin so we can hear other people talking. Their checkin process was disorganized, we literally have to check with the front desk each time, and they did not text/call us.

I want to start off by saying the building and location are great. I enjoyed the skyline views from my room and the accessibility to local shopping malls and restaurants. My issues are mainly related to the staff and service. Now, although mostly insignificant, I didn't appreciate my card being charged slightly less than double the room fee (for a deposit). This wasn't that big of an issue although it's slightly inconvenient that I have to wait 2-3 business days for my money to be returned to me. I also did not like the assumption that I would be dining at the hyatt for the duration of my stay.

Check in was really slow. Many people waiting and nowhere to sit - a recurring problem at this hotel. Aircon in room was not working and despite asking for it to be fixed, it never was. Service at breakfast was really poor. Queuing and delays everywhere. No cups. No glasses. No plates. Empty food places. No breakfast tea. A tired, run down hotel which hasn’t got the space to serve its guests properly.

이번 가족 여행에서는 쌍둥이 아이들과 함께 상해의 랜드마크 건물 안에 위치한 이 호텔에 머물렀습니다. 호텔이 워낙 상징적인 건물 안에 있어서, 아이들에게 상해의 대표적인 풍경을 직접 보여주기에 정말 좋은 장소였어요. 도시 어디에서든 이 건물이 보여서 길 찾기도 수월했고, 아이들이 상해 관련 책자를 볼 때마다 “여기가 우리가 묵었던 곳이야!” 하며 기억하기도 쉬워했던 점이 인상 깊었어요. 객실에서는 동방명주가 한눈에 보이는 멋진 뷰가 펼쳐져서, 아이들과 함께 창밖 풍경을 보는 재미도 쏠쏠했어요. 호텔 수영장도 쾌적하게 잘 관리되어 있었고, 내부에 보안요원이 상주하고 있어서 아이들과 함께 안심하고 수영을 즐길 수 있었어요. 조식도 아이들과 함께하기 괜찮았어요. 호텔 직원분들도 모두 친절하셨고, 현장에서의 의사소통에도 전혀 어려움이 없었습니다. 다만 아쉬웠던 점은, 호텔 방문 전 메시지로의 소통이 원활하지 않았다는 거예요. 공항 픽업 관련해서 여러 차례 메시지를 보냈지만 답변을 받기 어려웠고, 결국 상해에 사는 지인의 도움을 받아 직접 전화를 걸어 해결했어요. 급한 문의는 메시지보다 전화로 연락하는 것이 훨씬 빠르고 확실한 것 같아요. 그럼에도 불구하고 전반적으로는 매우 만족스러운 숙박이었고, 다음에 아이들과 함께 다시 상해를 방문하게 된다면 꼭 이 호텔에서 다시 묵고 싶어요!

Se você vai chegar na Cidade muito antes do check in que é às 15horas, saiba que esse hotel pode não ser uma boa alternativa porque vai ficar mofando no lobby até a hora do quarto estar disponível. It was a wonderful place for a family trip. I was especially grateful for the staff’s kindness at check-in. They even contacted the restaurant I booked for my mom’s birthday and helped confirm everything. When we entered the room, we found a birthday bouquet and a cake waiting for my mom, which made the day even more special. This was our second stay, and if we visit Shanghai again, we would definitely love to come back to this hotel. Thank you so much!

The location offers very scenic views of the Bund, especially revered at nighttime. The connivence of close proximity to Shanghai Metro Lines 2 & 14 allows for effortless transport across the Huangpu River to many different scenic locations, like the Bund, Yuyuan Old Street and Shanghai Disneyland within minutes. Additionally, Line 2 transports directly to the airport with availability to shorten transit time by taking the Maglev as an alternative.

We traveled with our 10 year old son, and a couple friends of us. We booked a Suite, and our friends stayed a Suite too. This hotel was very beautiful and clean. We booked a suite for us and another for our friends. However, the food that was included at the lounge was very disappointing. Their food selection was very poor, compared to other hotels that we experienced in this trip, like the Park Hyatt in Seoul, the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong, the Shangri-la in Guilin, and the Intercontinental in Beijing. We were surprised that such a large hotel with that amazing location, was not better. Though, this gave us the opportunity to go outside to the mall next to the hotel, and there we experienced such incredible foods from China and Japan, full of amazing flavors... that was an unforgettable food tasting experience.

Amazing hotel, perfect in every aspect. The grand river view room has an outstanding view of the Bund, and the Club Executive Lounge is a great place to relax and have a light meal after a day of work (or after visiting the many attractions in Shanghai).

Very friendly staff. I have one item which was not like a 5 Star Hotel and that was the breakfast buffet. All items have been cold. Egos, dumpling noodles etc. I love the Chinese breakfast, but it have to be warm.
