Hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood. It took awhile to find the correct building; Expedia should find out and add this detail. The rooms are older, I did have to switch because of unpleasant odor. There wasn't much amenities (although it was mentioned in the description that there's a spa). While the hotel wasn't terrible, I wouldn't say this is a 5-star hotel. Lastly, I did not like the fact that Jin An Temple is still a 25 minute walk away, even though the description gave 10 minutes. Overall, I am disappointed at the inaccuracy of what I had expected from this hotel.

The hotel location is excellent, close to train station, restaurants, and shopping areas. The room is nice, but unfortunately the carpet is super dirty with stained spots. It should be easy to remove the stains by a deep steam cleaning. The dirty carpet doesn’t match to the famous name of Jin Jian hotel. I hope the hotel will see my comments and make an improvement.

There was no AC adjustment possible in the room. It was all the time 25-26 degrees in the room. It was too hot to sleep in the night. I was told that the hotel set centrally 25/26 degrees for all the rooms.

Although this is the 'old' Jin Jiang hotel, I still enjoyed the stay. The hotel location is excellent, close to the main street, Huai Hai Road. There are plenty of good restaurants and stores in the area. The hotel staff are always friendly and helpful. I will consider staying here again next time I am in town.

Would rate 0/5 stars for service. Our room filled up with second hand smoke from a smoker next door while we were sleeping. The hotel said this was common and that nothing could be done. They were not apologetic at all and did not compensate us in any way. They offered a "free breakfast" but then revoked it. Lack of concern that two of my family members have asthma and breathed in the smoke all night. Hotel itself is dated. Only perk is that location is convenient. I'd recommend you to stay across the road at the Okura Garden Hotel.

Great hotel in 192 style, (The North Building) so you get a sence of how Shanhai was in the 1920-30 . It is a great location close to the old historic french area and only 5 minutes from the Metro, so you can be at the Nanjing Road within 15 minutes. Ask for a room at the front side.

My 3rd stay in 2024 and always go to hotel when travelling to Shanghai for work, metro is 150m walk and 5 stops away from Shanghai Train station, making day trip to nearby town easy. Lots of small shops and shopping malls nearby. Staffs are helpful to bring my online delivery to the room.

We had great experience staying at Jin Jiang Hotel . The shower room water pressure was excellent with a separate bath and shower system. The staff at morning buffet restaurant were fantastic and very well trained , they were always eager to serve and help. I would stay at this property again in the future. If you are looking for a high end Hotel with a reasonable price, I highly recommend it.
