The hotel was great! Large rooms with great views of the Bund or the Yu Yuan marketplace. Three blocks from train station and 10 min walk to Yu Yuan garden. Hotel staff were true professionals who made us feel welcomed. Finally had a chance to enjoy the Spa as well! Lots of local restaurants as you walk towards Bund. Highly recommend.

The suite was a lovely room. Very quiet. Unfortunately the prices in the hotel bar and restaurants (and the spa) were too expensive so we didn't use them as much as we may have done if they were cheaper. Also there was no sports channel which we may have watched bearing in mind the Euros 2024 had started whilst we were away.

古いけど常に綺麗にしているホテルです。街の中心にあり、豫園へ行く、外灘へ行くにも歩いて行けます。地下鉄に乗ることもなく歩いて行けるというのはやはり、地の利が良いですね、ホテル内もとてもきれいで、朝食もとても美味しいです。またプールも20mくらいあり、泳ぎやすいです。今回はタクシーの手配など、受け付の男性にとても助けられました。感謝します。

After looking at pictures of the hotel was expecting it to be exceptional, but unfortunately this was not the case. The service from staff was adequate but not amazing compared to other hotels in a similar price range. An exception was one young woman servicing the breakfast who provided great customer service. A key letdown was the room itself, which was dated, dark and did not seem to be that clean, particularly the furniture and carpets. The floor in the bathroom and shower was slippy - though there was a sign that identified this to be the case. The location is convenient to access two Metro stations Yuyuan Garden and East Nanjing Road and is within walking distance of the Pearl River area.

The Westin Bund centre is ideally located. It’s 10 min walk from the Bund. Walking distance to both the shopping street and Yuyuan garden. Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Our room was clean and the condition of room was great. Service was prompt when we made request. We had room service during our stay and the food was good. The location of the hotel was convenient for us as we could walk to Yu Garden as well as Nanjing Road and The Bund. There are many eateries around the area as well.

While the hotel is well located and you can walk everywhere easily, the rooms are a bit dated. Our biggest frustration was the fact that inside the room are air conditioning temperature controllers that might appear to lower or raise your room temperature, where in fact they do nothing at all and your room temperature is governed by the hotel Central air conditioning system which in our case was set at 24 degrees C, making the room feel stuffy. We raised our issue many times with nothing done (except for a note left saying something like, “our engineer checked your room air conditioning and it works ok with room temperature set at 24 degrees.” We won’t stay here again.

Already 2nd time I stayed at the Westin Bund in Shanghai. Very nice hotel in best location in Shanghai. 5 min walking distance to Bund promenade or East Nanjing Road. You can also walk to Yu Garden in like 20 min, but since DiDi is cheap, I recommend DiDi. You can actually see Yu Yuan from Rooms that face Yu Yuan. Hotel offers usual Westin comfort with good equipped and spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, good service and the Westin Heavenly Bed, for which I would rate an extra star. I you have back issues, this bed will go easy on you!

Very nice Hotel in the heart of Shanghai. I was upgraded to a junior suit that was really nice. Big suit with separated living room, bed room and a very nice bathroom. Everything was very luxurious and I was in a lot of other hotels, that were more expensive but offered less comfort and practicality. The hotel is in walking distance to the bund (river promenade) and Nanjing road, has a small 24/7 kiosk to the left and Manners coffee to right, which I found very convenient. One metro station is also in 100 m. walking distance and you can reach everything else easily via Taxi (use DiDi!). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will book this hotel again for my next stay in Shanghai.

Our experience at The Westin was truly wonderful. The front desk receptionist kindly upgraded us to a larger room, which was spacious, very comfortable, and had one of the most relaxing beds we’ve ever slept on. He also helped us with a late check-out and was extremely courteous and professional. The breakfast buffet was excellent — a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, where we enjoyed a fantastic pizza. The manager offered us a special promotion with Aperol Spritz and was incredibly friendly. The service provided by Fans and Bella was outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuine. Overall, this hotel far exceeds expectations — you really get much more than what you pay for. Highly recommended!

My stay at The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai was very pleasant thanks to its convenient location close to major attractions and shopping areas. Very smooth check-in, Senior Guest Services Manager Bruce Li 李贺 was very friendly and helpful, offered toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush etc) and answered all my questions, and assigned a high floor with good view of Shanghai skyline. Westin's Sunday Brunch is very famous and location of hotel is very close and walkable to the Bund. My favorite hotel to stay in Shanghai.

Hotel location was convenient to nanjing road and the bund. Water pressure and temperature was good. However, furnishings and carpet feels that it has not been refreshed for a long time. For the price of the accommodation, we would prefer more dedicated services, such as opening of car doors or entrance doors. Only some will. On our arrival, no one helped to open the car doors or unload our luggages or open the hotel doors. A bell boy only came to help us when we were mid way checking in. But on check out, there was a bellboy that asked if we needed assistance, and another that offered to help load the luggages. Service standards could be improved and further streamlined. Not all staff looked friendly too, Many seemed to be just standing around and ignoring the guests, only greeting some guest. Unlikely to stay here again for this price and such inconsistent service even though the room was sufficiently comfortable.

First time booking a hotel in Shangrila but is it actually a normal protocol to have cleaning staff come barging in a room if after few knocks no one answers? Kind of an unusual experience for us especially when we put in the do not disturb sign. Luckily, my husband is there and the cleaning lady just said, "hi, you want coffee?". Weird, when there's literally a coffeemaker in the room. We called it in the front desk and we got a return call from the manager stating its a normal protocol to come in and "check" the room if no one answers. Honestly I dont think its normal protocol and definitely would not be booking here again for safety and privacy reasons.

Everything about the hotel and staff was excellent. The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Unfortunately had a very poor experience at this hotel. We were staying for a single night in Shanghai before moving on to further travels so our time was very limited. When we turned up the hotel was busy due to alot of guests staying for the Shanghai marathon the following morning which we weren't aware of Check in took ONE HOUR. Our rooms had been given away due to overbooking, reception staff could not articulate due to the language barrier so just left us waiting and waiting. Once the rooms were sorted out, the card machine then didn't work and staff kept us another 15/20 minutes trying to take a payment. All in all check in was terrible! My room was good but that was mainly due to being upgraded after having no spare rooms to put me in. My colleagues room however smelt of smoke and she had to move. We did not use any of the facilities at the hotel so cannot comment on these. Before we finally went to bed that evening we asked reception for some further information on the marathon the next day and would any road closures effect our route to the airport. Despite the marathon starting outside the hotel, nobody could provide us with this information so in the end we got up and left early to be on the safe side. Terrible service, unhelpful staff and a very rude manager who did not want to help us in anyway.

The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai, is in a great location. It was within 10-15 walk to the Bund waterfront (iconic and picturesque waterfront of Shanghai), Shanghai Old Town (shopping and night market) & Yu Garden (historical home and garden), Nanjing Street (shopping and eateries), Shanghai Museum and Yu Garden subway station. Although the hotel was in a nice and safe neighborhood, with a good amount of tourist traffic, it was not far from local neighborhood for the authentic vibe (and eats). Rooms were clean, quiet and stocked with bottle water (because you do not drink Shanghai's tap water), it was perfect for crashing after a long day of play.

Hotel has a great location. It is showing its age - eg room woodwork shows desperate needs of needed maintenance. Food at restaurants is subpar to other Westins. The breakfast restaurant has a lot of people with attitude. The Chinese restaurant upstairs can be avoided. The Italian restaurant is very good, albeit limited menu. All rest of the staff was nice.
