Great hotel to spend few days in Catania. Centrally located, walkable with dining and shopping all over. Parking is valet for $25.00 per day. Unfortunately the amenities were not opened during our stay.

Just stayed the evening before my flight from Catania airport back home. Located close to airport with parking (25 euro charge) which is fine considering how challenging it is to park in downtown Catania (& its valet!!)

God beliggenhed, ingen info om parkeringsfaciliteter, det havde været rart at have på forhånd. Ikke let at finde parkering i nærheden. Ingen glas på værelse, kun pap krus. Ingen mulighed for at få et kop the uden for åbningstid af Restaurent! Ringe tyrkisk bad, ingen sæbe til afvaskning eller mulighed for at skylle bænk i sauna. Der er plads til forbedring for et 4-stjernet hotel.

O hotel se localiza na área central de Catânia, walking distance de todas as atrações e ponto turísticos. Quarto bem confortável e café da manhã excelente. O restaurante do hotel tem ótima comida e vista agradável. A academia deixa a desejar, com aparelhos antigos. A poucos metros do Hotel fica a Pasticceria Savia com o melhor Arancino da região. Uma dica de restaurante bom e barato é o Trattoria del Cavaliere, também muito próximo ao hotel. Uma boa opção é fazer os passeios de Catânia (Siracusa e Monte Etna) e não de Taormina, pela proximidade e facilidade.

Rooms were beautifully appointed and very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was diverse with a wide choice of foods and plenty of tables. THe front desk was very helpful in arranging my airport transfer and getting my account straightened out. Beautiful hotel with beautiful seervice and excellent staff.

Great old fashioned hospitality, how all hotels should be. Nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean, great breakfast selection and a delightful rooftop terrace. We were in a standard twin room, certainly big enough for two and very quiet with a generous size bathroom. Lots of fluffy towels and robes. Good location.

Das Hotel ist in keinem guten Zustand und dafür sehr überteuert. Die Lage ist super, dass Personal freundlich. Das Zimmer war nicht sehr sauber und insbesondere das Bad hat nach Exkrementen gerochen. Es wurde versucht das Problem zu lösen, doch es hat nicht funktioniert. Zum Glück nur 2 Nächte gebucht und wir werden bestimmt nicht wieder kommen.

The location of the property was perfect. Very easy access to local shopping and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Hotel was lovely, great location for everything I wanted to do. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Not sure if paying the extra for breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was worth it as the food was the same as the normal restaurant, maybe would have been better if the weather wasn’t so bad and the view would have been better (but that’s not the hotels fault!) The only negative was on my last night there was a cockroach running around my room - wasn’t an issue as I managed to dispose of it. Didn’t spoil my stay though. Would happily return again.

Have stayed several times here. Location, staff and room is great. BUT, this stay we found that the site apparently turns off the air at some point in the season, not considering at all it might still be warm. Our nice room was unbearable for the entire stay. Either sweat all night or open the patio door to invite biting insects in to attack you. Would stay here again, but only after inquiring if their air was operational.

Nice hotel in the center of town. It’s nothing special but it was nice. The rooftop bar and restaurant offered great views of Mt Etna so I would say that was our favorite thing about the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was average, but priced fairly. The beds in the room were incredibly hard, and the pillows were terrible. (Very lumpy.) But the room was clean. If you were looking for something in the center of the city, this would be a OK choice but if you are looking for something with a prettier environment, I would recommend something closer to the water

Never staying here again. Hot, no sleep, and flies. Contrary to the ammenities description, there is no A/C in the room (no cooling in the winter) so the room was ~25 C (78 F) and too hot for us to sleep comfortably. The staff advised us to open the window, resulting in ~50 flies entering the room. Se we got zero sleep and a lot of bug bites. Hopefully we don’t get sick. Adding insult to injury, we were offered a paltry $50 discount on our bill for these inconveniences, specifically in return for

Nice old hotel in city. Room with upstairs loft and 1 1/2 baths. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Small balcony overlooking city was fun to watch people going about their days and nights. Close to many sites. Food at hotel was fair. Rooftop has a beautiful view of Mt. Etna but food and service were not good. AC good.

La estancia en general bien. Solo tuvimos problemas con el aire acondicionado. Aunque hay una consola en la habitación, el aire acondicionado está centralizado, salta automáticamente y aunque lo apagábamos volvía a saltar. Esto supuso no poder dormir bien toda una noche porque además que hacía fresco de más es muy, muy ruidoso. Nos “quejamos” en recepción y fue cuando nos explicaron que había que darles orden a ellos para que lo anularan porque no hay otra forma de apagarlo, y nos reconocieron que es ruidoso, lo que nos sorprendió. Hubo que dar la queja dos veces porque la primera vez no nos hicieron caso y al volver al hotel el aire seguía poniéndose en marcha solo. Ya sabéis, si no queréis aire, hay que dar el aviso en la recepción. Esperemos que lo cambien pronto.

We could not have been more happy with our stay here. Absolutely fantastic hospitality from start to finish. Rita at the reception gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and beyond comfortable - it felt luxurious! This hotel is a gem in the center of Catania. It’s right on the pedestrian zone and there are plenty of sights, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. The rooftop restaurant is splendid with a view of Catania and Mt. Etna in the background. We were also lucky enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking the street and had a beautiful view of Etna from there as well, which was especially lovely in the morning light. We ordered a room service breakfast on the morning of our departure and were so happy we did - it was a full selection of tasty foods and we left completely satisfied. We will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for flying out of Catania as it is only about 15 minutes from the airport. The reception will take care of ordering a taxi for you - it really couldn’t be easier!

Just one day stay so here’s my two cents. The hotel installations were great and the reception staff is excellent and helpful. My only comment, and that’s why the 4 star review, is that the rest of the staff is not well prepared as the reception team. During the breakfast I was asked for my room number twice by different employees and the second one was totally rude. Don’t get me started at the Rooftop bar & restaurant, as the person who was taking orders was clearly not in the mood to receive more guests during the afternoon shift. Overall it’s nice place to stay if you’re on a business travel, vacationing not so much.

The staff at Palace Catania were excellent, they suggested a great walking tour, places to eat and were very helpful. The staff went out of their way to provide assistance in every way. The location perfect to see everything that Catania had to offer. The food at the rooftop restaurant was good and the view was incredible. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel was well updated and felt more like a boutique hotel.

Beautiful property, but our experience with the hotel’s concierge ruined a valuable day of travel. We like to book our excursions through the hotel to ensure that the vendor has been well-vetted. We booked a full day tour (with the concierge) starting at 8 am (we had a very tight travel day and had to start early) However the tour guide never showed. The concierge arranged a substitute (showing up 2 hours later), but failed to clarify the terms of the excursion: the guide brought us back to the hotel having taken us to just one of the two promised destinations. We ended up losing 4 hours of touring time just waiting for tour guides. In the end, we had to book a private transfer back to Palermo instead of taking the train (costing us close ti $300 extra dollars). All of the issues trace back to the poor service provided by this hotel’s concierge team. The hotel is beautiful, the location, perfect and the rooftop restaurant is exceptional. The concierge service just ruined a full day of our trip.

We had a wonderful stay a the Palace Catania/UNA Esperienze. This hotel is gorgeous with a wonderful rooftop restaurant and bar. The hotel is walking distance from everything you want to see. We felt very safe.

The Palace Catania is a beautiful hotel on main Etnea street in city center. Central, convenient location, but you need to love city life - the streets are not clean (there are major issues in Italy with regard to the lack of trash collection and litter/garbage is prevalent almost everywhere), beggars (including children) come right up to your dining table asking for money (happened multiple times while we dined on Etnea), and there are many homeless and lots of graffiti. Setting that aside, (because you have to remember you are in the heart of the city and much of this is to be expected), the hotel staff was excellent and friendly, the condition of the hotel was very nice and clean, and the indoor valet parking was great ($25/night). The food and beverage prices at the hotel were too high, so we ate and drank at the restaurants nearby, which were excellent. There are a lot of choices. If you like to be in the middle of the action, walkable to many of the tourist sites, this is the place for you. We did a 4 hour walking tour with a local guide and it was great. We stayed 3 nights, which was 1 night too long for what we wanted to see/do.

Excelente localização, ótimo comércio no entorno, e por perto vários pontos de interesse turístico, tornando-se muito fácil locomover-se a pé e com segurança. O ônibus que serve ao Aeroporto de Catania - da Cia Alibus - para exatamente na porta, e na volta quase em frente; para quem vem de trem há ônibus na porta da estação e que para também em frente ao hotel. O Hotel é um palacete barroco muito bem cuidado, com uma recepção linda, e terraço com uma vista maravilhosa da cidade e do Etna, e com um restaurante muito bom. Ótimo serviço de limpeza, menu de travesseiros, quarto arrumado para a noite também, recepção atenciosa, multilíngue e sempre pronta para atender; também o pessoal do café da manhã foi muito prestativo e simpático, o salão com ótima apresentação e excelente qualidade e variedade de produtos. O quarto era de ótimo tamanho, cama confortável, roupas de cama limpas de tecido macio e a ótima vedação impedia qualquer tipo de barulho exterior. O serviço de arrumação dos quartos foi ótimo. O banheiro era grande, tinha chuveiro e banheira em conjunto, o que não me agrada muito pela falta de segurança, apesar de uma pequena barra de apoio. Toalhas e roupões macios, amenities da marca própria Una e chinelos foram oferecidos. O quarto também tinha frigobar e chaleira com saches de chá e máquina para cápsulas de café. Nossa estadia foi agradabilíssima, recomendo uma experiência no Una e voltaria a me hospedar por lá, certamente.

Lovely hotel located centrally in Via Etnea. Tremendous staff, super helpful in every way. Hotel rooms are mostky all renovated and we were upgraded to a balcony suite overlooking the main strip. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Would recommend to anyone visiting Catania.

It was centrally located and the rooftop was great for drinks/dinner the first night upon arrival. The rooftop has a great view of the city. We had drinks there several times during our stay. The breakfast was very good. One in our group needed dairy free/vegan. They were better than most places, and there was a section identified on the menu, but she thought the options were limited. Overall, a very good experience!

We were very happy with reception, breakfast (well done with the vegetarian and vegan breakfast options and lovely staff) and the room, but disappointed with the rooftop restaurant. The maitre d wasn’t overly helpful; and the food was far less appetising than at most restaurants or at home - a bit overhyped and overpriced. The servers were lovely; and the cocktails good. We would stay again but avoid the restaurant food.
