I would strongly advise anyone against booking a stay at the Romano Palace Luxury Hotel in Sicily as our experience was far from satisfactory given several issues Room Conditions: - Our room had +10 mosquitos, which we had to kill. They had blood in them, probably from earlier guests, and I was bitten. - When complaining at reception, the staff laughed & claimed no other rooms were available, despite vacant rooms online. After insisting, they offered to "clean up" the mosquitos, probably with spray. Eventually, they gave us a new room but without any apology or help with luggage Room Comfort: -AC malfunctioned frequently, requiring me to restart it several times during the night. With outside temperatures around 30°C, it disrupted our sleep Breakfast & Cleanliness: -Breakfast selection was average, but cleanliness was poor. Cutlery, glasses, and bowls were not properly cleaned, and water bottles had yellow stains. Only espresso machines available. Pool and Facilities: -The pool was dirty, filled with sand and filth. -Towel service opened around 11 am. -The staff at the pool restaurant were unfriendly. Overall: -The hotel suffers from poor maintenance & management. The staff's bad attitude & low service were disappointing. I have had better service in 3 star hotels In conclusion, I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. It is far from a five-star, and my stay had multiple issues. I cannot recommend this hotel and suggest potential guests look elsewhere

Overall experience was great. Staff was friendly, professional and all around great. Lots of outdoor areas to hangout and spend time outside. Pool area was nice. Minibar was stocked with good options and the prices are not bad comparing to other hotels I've stayed. It was almost cheaper to drink from the minibar vs. The actual hotel bar. Pool area was nice but maybe in the busy season it could get growded. Each room has Echo device with Alexa, so you can play music or get other information easily. The room i stayed was clean and good but some things were little outdated and rundown, some USB charging ports by the bed was not working, the thermostat screen and buttons were damaged but i was still able to turn down the temperature, i just couldn't see the actual temperature reading. But because the staff was so great and my stay was great, these things did not bother me. TV channels are all in italian, or at least the 100+ channels i scrolled thru, so if you like watching TV during your stay and don't understand the language, i recommend to bring your own movies or tv shows. I would stay here again. 1 night - room 109 - male 43 - shoe size 11

Great service and guest experience, some areas of hotel were a little dated, didn’t provide coffee/milk replenishment one coffee each over two day. Beach is lovely and nicer vibe than pool which is overcrowded and grass warm.

Der Garten des Hotels ist wunderschön, auch der Pool ist groß und gepflegt. Es gibt einen großen gesicherten Parkplatz. Die Fahrt in das historische Zentrum ist mit Pkw kurz und einfach, Bus gibt es wohl, wann er fährt ist eher Zufall. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, Bett breit, Matratze gut, Bad auch gut. Zu empfehlen, wenn man 1-2 Nächte bleiben will

Our stay at Romano Palace was sufficient for one night before our flight from Catania. The property itself was nice but seemed to be run down in spots — the pool area was decent but the surrounding area and inside of the pool could have used some improved cleaning. The room itself was nice but again, the cleanliness could have been improved. The staff were very friendly and helpful for our short stay!

We stayed one night before flying home. The condition of the hotel was overall good, the pool area and rooms was nice. The room had a descent size balcony. The button to turn up the room temperature set point on the ac control unit was broken, which lead the room temperature to on the cold side during the night. There were long black hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor, which indicated the cleaning before we got the room had been not that thorough. When walking without socks on, we had to brush off our feet before going to bed. We expected better breakfast, considering the rating and price of the hotel. Some noise from the nearby airport is to be expected. Due to a late flight we ordered a late checkout and got an unpleasant surprise when it was time to pay. As it turned out there had been an langue misunderstanding for the late check out fee (we though 14 euro, they insisted on 40 euro), which there were not talking to the staff about. The overall feeling for the hotel is that we could have done better for a cheaper price at a lower rated hotel.

Sauberes Hotel mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern und einem schönen, gepflegten Garten; insgesamt jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die direkte Umgebung weist viel Leerstand auf und fühlt sich abends nicht besonders sicher an. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück ist gut und bietet viel Auswahl, man sollte jedoch nicht zu früh kommen, da noch nicht alles bereitsteht. Negativ fällt das Badezimmer auf: Die Wassertemperatur wechselt etwa alle 30 Sekunden, der Duschkopf hat nur wenig Druck, die Badewanne ist sehr rutschig und nach dem Duschen ist das ganze Bad nass. Very outdated, very small showers for even small kids, no space in the shower to accommodate soap or shampoo. AC is a dilema (it may or it may not work as the rooms were last updated around 1980). Connecting rooms? Good luck!, it will be given to guests that logically do not need it and not to parents with small kids). On the positive side, good location (close to city center and close to the Catania airport). The pool also looked nice and well maintained, but did not use it.

The hotel is in a nice area right across from a clean, warm beach, and close to the airport as well.The property is quite nice. What we did not like is that the rooms were hot when we arrived, (they knew that we were there as 4 of us attempted to check in earlier but only 2 of the rooms were ready, which was fine as we were a couple of hours early). With that being said, the AC was certainly in need of an upgrade as it blows only slightly cool air. The refrigerator did not work, even after maintenance, it was still very warm and unsuitable to keep even a bottle of water. There was only ONE 2 prong outlet in the room that I was able to charge my phone with...behind a cabinet that held the TV and fridge,had to be pushed away from the wall to access it. There were NO outlets on either side of the bed for travelers that use a converter. This is is a 'luxury' hotel, near the airport, which means there are many travelers from all over, so why hasn't all this been upgraded? The man at the front desk was professional and helpful, I could tell that he agreed about the room needing upgrading in these areas as he certainly seemed apologetic. The restaurant is a bit pricey for what you get, and they charge 4EU pp 'coperto' fee, for dishes, utensils, glasses,etc. At the start, we told waiter we'd need 4 separate checks. At the end of dinner, this was quite a difficult thing to achieve. Had to go to the front desk and tell them each and every item, took over 1/2 hour. Upgrades needed!

We booked a room with 2 double beds and were given a king bed. This resulted in my husband and I sharing a bed with our 13 year old son. I asked to switch rooms and was told they were full and it wasn't possible. I asked for a cot and was simply told no. Later on my husband hurt his back and we asked for some ice which we were told was not possible unless we bought wine from the bar. I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed myself but it has seriously gone downhill. The service was horrible and the staff do not care about guests. If you need to stay in the area stay at the notel next door.

I would strongly advise anyone against booking a stay at the Romano Palace Luxury Hotel in Sicily as our experience was far from satisfactory given several issues Room Conditions: - Our room had +10 mosquitos, which we had to kill. They had blood in them, probably from earlier guests, and I was bitten. - When complaining at reception, the staff laughed & claimed no other rooms were available, despite vacant rooms online. After insisting, they offered to "clean up" the mosquitos, probably with spray. Eventually, they gave us a new room but without any apology or help with luggage Room Comfort: -AC malfunctioned frequently, requiring me to restart it several times during the night. With outside temperatures around 30°C, it disrupted our sleep Breakfast & Cleanliness: -Breakfast selection was average, but cleanliness was poor. Cutlery, glasses, and bowls were not properly cleaned, and water bottles had yellow stains. Only espresso machines available. Pool and Facilities: -The pool was dirty, filled with sand and filth. -Towel service opened around 11 am. -The staff at the pool restaurant were unfriendly. Overall: -The hotel suffers from poor maintenance & management. The staff's bad attitude & low service were disappointing. I have had better service in 3 star hotels In conclusion, I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. It is far from a five-star, and my stay had multiple issues. I cannot recommend this hotel and suggest potential guests look elsewhere

Overall experience was great. Staff was friendly, professional and all around great. Lots of outdoor areas to hangout and spend time outside. Pool area was nice. Minibar was stocked with good options and the prices are not bad comparing to other hotels I've stayed. It was almost cheaper to drink from the minibar vs. The actual hotel bar. Pool area was nice but maybe in the busy season it could get growded. Each room has Echo device with Alexa, so you can play music or get other information easily. The room i stayed was clean and good but some things were little outdated and rundown, some USB charging ports by the bed was not working, the thermostat screen and buttons were damaged but i was still able to turn down the temperature, i just couldn't see the actual temperature reading. But because the staff was so great and my stay was great, these things did not bother me. TV channels are all in italian, or at least the 100+ channels i scrolled thru, so if you like watching TV during your stay and don't understand the language, i recommend to bring your own movies or tv shows. I would stay here again. 1 night - room 109 - male 43 - shoe size 11

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and it had easy parking. The hotel was so much better than I expected. The front desk checked us in early. Massimo was so friendly and could answer all our questions. He have us excellent directions to return our car rental. We never would have found it without his help. The room had a patio which we enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend this hotel. However the restaurant I would not recommend. It was super expensive and the food was not very good.

We decided to stay at this "five-star luxury hotel" before our AM flight. Arrived early, lunch at pool restaurant - nice pizza dish with very good crust. Checked in and changed for the pool. Room was dated (as was rest of hotel decor) and the floor was dirty- not "5-Star". Lovely balcony. Air conditioning not working - reported to desk (1st report). Pool nice, pool bar limited, towels only at the front desk (not 5-star!). Air still not working after 3-hour at pool (80F in room!). Sent service request via their Siri (I think) system (2nd). Also asked again at front desk when making hotel dinner reservations (3rd). Front desk said received service request for the air conditioning - had not responded yet. Hotel bar not open until 7PM - only the pool bar across the property available - again not "5-Star" convenience. Went to dinner (not good 2-star at best - no olives or lime - in Italy!). Called desk (4th) when air STILL not working after dinner. Waited another hour - called front desk again (5th) then went to front desk (6th) to see what could be done. Finally 2 people checked our room and used a toothpick to rig the air conditioner to work. Stayed 20 hours at "5-Star" hotel and only had air conditioning for about 8 of those hours. Never offered apology, a new room, discount, or anything for our inconvenience. Poorly run hotel with tremendous potential if cleaning, restaurant, maintenance, staffing, etc. were upgraded to anything close to 5-Star.

We would like to formally express our dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, several issues prevented us from having the experience we expected from a 4-star establishment. Klaus Room: • The sheets were damp, and hot water heatet was not working upon arrival. Bo Room • The toilet door could not be closed; although the reception eventually fixed this, it should not have been an issue in the first place. • The showerhead was not functioning correctly, and the shower cabin was of very poor standard. • Our room was missing a luggage rack, which made the stay less comfortable. Restaurant (Dinner): • Extremely loud music made it impossible to have a proper conversation. • Despite having booked a table in advance, the staff were not prepared for our arrival. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet we were only given two menus for four people and had to ask for more. • The candle on our table was not lit. • The waiters appeared inattentive and unprofessional, with some walking around with their hands in their pockets. • We had purchased two bottles of wine, but when one of our guests ordered an additional glass of wine, it took 15 minutes to be served. • Overall, the level of service in the restaurant was extremely poor and far below the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. A luxurious and beautiful hotel near the Catania airport. It was perfect for our stay before returning to the U.S. the next day. The front desk arranged a taxi to take us to the airport and provided a box breakfast to send us on our way.

Hotellet i sig är helt ok, bra poolområde med lite folk. Rummen stora och vi hade egen terass. AC fungerade dåligt, vi fick ringa receptionen otaliga ggr då man inte kunde reglera AC på rummet. Hotellets läge är inte bra, taxi krävs för att ta sig någonstans. Personalen på hotellet inte de trevligaste. Frukosten var ändå helt ok. Men overall skulle jag inte bo här mer än några nätter.

Der Garten des Hotels ist wunderschön, auch der Pool ist groß und gepflegt. Es gibt einen großen gesicherten Parkplatz. Die Fahrt in das historische Zentrum ist mit Pkw kurz und einfach, Bus gibt es wohl, wann er fährt ist eher Zufall. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, Bett breit, Matratze gut, Bad auch gut. Zu empfehlen, wenn man 1-2 Nächte bleiben will

Airport is perfect for early morning flights out of Catania. Hotel interior is dated. Some aspects of the room were broken—needs some TLC. Having said that, we called the front desk and they sent someone right away. Dinner was very good. Our waiter Davide was excellent.

Zeer mooi complex, veel groen, een mooi zwembad, kamers zijn netjes maar wel verouderd. Zeer goed restaurant ook heel erg gezellig om te eten in de tuin met Life muziek. Makkelijk is ook dat er altijd vervoer van het hotel aanwezig is.

Das Frühstück war lecker, lediglich beim Rührei hätte ich mehr erwartet. Andere Eierspeisen wie Omelette kosten Geld, diese sollten jedoch bei 5 Sterne enthalten sein. Die Getränke Preise am Pool sind überzogen (kleines Bier 7€, Aperol Spritz 12€). Der Strand ist schön und für Hotelgäste kostenlos. Sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen wieder!

Sauberes Hotel mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern und einem schönen, gepflegten Garten; insgesamt jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die direkte Umgebung weist viel Leerstand auf und fühlt sich abends nicht besonders sicher an. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück ist gut und bietet viel Auswahl, man sollte jedoch nicht zu früh kommen, da noch nicht alles bereitsteht. Negativ fällt das Badezimmer auf: Die Wassertemperatur wechselt etwa alle 30 Sekunden, der Duschkopf hat nur wenig Druck, die Badewanne ist sehr rutschig und nach dem Duschen ist das ganze Bad nass. Das Restaurant bietet ordentliches Essen, die Preise sind dafür jedoch unverhältnismäßig hoch.

It was a clean and comfortable hotel for a night after driving at the Catania airport. Breakfast with a great view, nice spread of cheeses and more, and sparkling wine was quite lovely. We enjoyed the pizzeria for dinner.

Close to the airport if looking for convenience. Parking is easy and available on site. Otherwise, the property is very dated. Dirty rooms and corridors. The food at the restaurant was terrible.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and it had easy parking. The hotel was so much better than I expected. The front desk checked us in early. Massimo was so friendly and could answer all our questions. He have us excellent directions to return our car rental. We never would have found it without his help. The room had a patio which we enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend this hotel. However the restaurant I would not recommend. It was super expensive and the food was not very good.

We would like to formally express our dissatisfaction with our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, several issues prevented us from having the experience we expected from a 4-star establishment. Klaus Room: • The sheets were damp, and hot water heatet was not working upon arrival. Bo Room • The toilet door could not be closed; although the reception eventually fixed this, it should not have been an issue in the first place. • The showerhead was not functioning correctly, and the shower cabin was of very poor standard. • Our room was missing a luggage rack, which made the stay less comfortable. Restaurant (Dinner): • Extremely loud music made it impossible to have a proper conversation. • Despite having booked a table in advance, the staff were not prepared for our arrival. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet we were only given two menus for four people and had to ask for more. • The candle on our table was not lit. • The waiters appeared inattentive and unprofessional, with some walking around with their hands in their pockets. • We had purchased two bottles of wine, but when one of our guests ordered an additional glass of wine, it took 15 minutes to be served. • Overall, the level of service in the restaurant was extremely poor and far below the standard expected of a 4-star hotel.
