Located on the fourth floor of an old building facing Duomo, only accessible by a historic elevator (or by stairs if the reception sees you and lets you in). Overall, the hotel feels like a large family home. Note that Duomo square is never quiet nor empty, always full of activities (sometimes quite noisy), even late at night. We did not pay for breakfast, but had free tea, coffee and cookies always available to us in the kitchen. The most important Florence sites (Duomo, Academy, Uffizi, Bargello) are all short walking distance from the hotel.

Great location, right next to the Duomo with a view from the terrace. Helpful staff, lead by Leone! Ice cream, coffee, breakfast snacks a nice touch and really appreciated having an elevator. Clean and comfortable, the only suggestion would be improved seating in the room. All told a very enjoyable stay.

Location was excellent with plenty of dining options. Service was good. Temp control in the room had limited options so could get a little cold when it rained. There was no kettle in the room so need to go to common area for a hot drink every time (FOC).

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Fllorence next door to the Duomo. Tiny little old elevator in the middle of the building takes you up to the 4th floor where the hotel lobby is. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable for Florence. Very noisy, since it's in the middle of the city, even at night. Breakfast is great.

This is a perfectly appointed and excellent hotel. The room was pristine. The breakfast was excellent and there was self service food and drink (wine and coffee) available for 24 hrs. The hotel is right across from the Duomo. The price is unbeatable. This is a family run business and the family obviously takes pride in assuring that its guests are well served. I will definitely stay here again. I don't think you will do better than this hotel if you are on a budget. Certainly you are getting far more than what you have paid for.

Starting getting bedbug bites two days after checking in and ended up finding and killing one the day before we left. Brought it to the front desk and they said it was probably a mosquito (???) but they would “deep clean” the room. Still got more bedbug bites that night.

Hotel Duomo is centrally located. They have a wonderful, helpful, cheerful staff. Breakfast was good. We really appreciated the free coffee/tea and water refill in the breakfast room. Loved the view of the cathedral. Our room was comfy and clean, although there was a small issue with ants that we reported to the front desk. The air conditioning worked well, which was important for July days where the outdoor temperature was approaching 100° F nearly every day we were in Florence. I would reccomend this hotel for Florence stays.

Has the best location but it needs an upgrade. Elevator is too old and small, the rooms were a little dusty, and the showers were uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent, and the view spectacular. Good for like a one night stay like we did. Shoutout to the comfortable mattresses though. Good job for when arriving tired for a good night sleep.

We were very happy with our stay at the hotel Duomo. The room had an excellent view outside our balcony. The Duomo had scaffolding at the time of our visit but it did not take away anything. The location is excellent. You are right at the main square and the distances to the museums and to the Ponte Vecchio were just a few blocks away. Everything was walkable. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. Water and coffee is free and they had pastries available any time of the day.

A nice hotel in the center, it is quiet and the rooms are in good condition. The attention from all the workers was excellent and spectacular. The only thing that needs to be improved is the Wi-Fi service, because the days I stayed in my room I was never able to receive that service that is so important these days to stay connected to the world. The Wi-Fi has a short range.

Amazing staff that showed us around and brought our luggage up to the room for us. The view from room 40 is off the post cards and highly recommend. The bathroom was to die for and the tub was mint. Perfect for honeymooners and after a long day walking around Florence. Only thing was the keys. You only get one key that controls the power and lock. Not great if you want to go out and your other half stays for a bath.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel and even paid extra for a Duomo view, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The room was very small, outdated, and had an unpleasant odor every time I walked in. The view was underwhelming, and overall, the experience didn’t feel like good value for the price. On a positive note, the location is excellent — everything is within walking distance, which was convenient. The staff were also friendly and professional throughout my stay. However, safety was a concern. I had early morning tours, and when I left around 6 AM, there was a person sleeping at the entrance of the hotel. It made me feel uneasy and detracted from the experience. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. While the location is great, it just wasn’t worth the cost or discomfort.

I had a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect , the place was spotless, extremely clean, well maintained. The location was amazing, right in front of the Duomo. Communication was excellent throughout, and Andrea was incredibly helpful with recommendations and local tips. The service truly went above and beyond. I felt very welcomed and taken care of. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Duomo during our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We opted to get a room with a balcony/duomo view and we are so glad that we did. The location of the hotel cannot be beat - it’s extremely convenient, walkable, and close to so many amazing restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we particularly loved the complimentary water/coffee/snack bar. Even though the hotel is located in a very busy and popular area, it is definitely worth noting that the hotel is very quiet and felt very secure as there was a staff member available at the desk 24/7. We would definitely recommend Hotel Duomo if you’re planning a trip to Firenze!

Without question, the hotel staff were the nicest and most accommodating of our entire trip. Location is walkable to virtually anything you want to do. Breakfast buffet is excellent. We will stay here again when we return to Florence.

The location is right on the Piazza di Duomo so it could not be more central. The front desk staff was always helpful and friendly. Once you get into the hotel it is great. It is on the 4th floor of an old building. To get there though you make your way into a somewhat dark first floor area inside a small arcade or entrance area. They could improve the experience by lighting that first floor area - which the hotel may not control- and sweeping the front sidewalk area which almost always seems to have some litter on it.

The hotel manager Andrea was great! He helped us with booking a taxi, bringing us breakfast on days when we had to leave early before breakfast was served. He suggested restaurants, texted us train schedules, answered our questions throughout the day. Our flight was delayed, we arrived to the hotel at midnight, Andrea was there to meet us and explained all the details about the hotel. Our room was large, beautiful and clean. We will definitely return again in the future!

Absolute center of the Firenze, right next to church, endless restaurants and shops, historical building, owner is very welcoming and prepared us with special gifts, also a light background history of the area as well as the place, amazing experience of checking in, room was new and interesting layout, loved everything about the room, with high ceiling and with both modern and renaissance design, walkable distance to nearly all the places in Florence, great overall!

Location is fantastic. All tourist attractions are within 10 minutes. Furthermore, the cathedral bells chiming every 30 minutes and the view of the Duomo captivated me. The reception area and staffs, located on the fourth floor, are modern and stylish, at the small, traditional hotel. I could free coffee, wine or ice cream at any time, while enjoying a close-up view of the Duomo.

The location is amazing, it's right next to the Duomo. The parking is a couple of blocks away, which is hard when you have a number of unwieldy suitcases to maneuver to the hotel, and then the elevator is tiny. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Be sure to book tickets for your activities weeks or months in advance since Florence is busy even into October. The hotel was so central to everything we did.

What a charming hotel.Fabulous proximity to the Duomo and all the attractions. Loved the complementary free access to coffee at the bar. Nicest selection of breakfast we have experienced in a while - tasty ham on the bone, fresh honeycomb, nice selection of fresh fruit and tempting pastries. Staff were friendly...especially the guy hosting breakfast. Very sad to leave but taking wonderful memories of Firenze.

The hotel is right outside the Duomo, so it is perfectly convenient to visit the sites in Florence and to come back and forth in the middle of the day. The staff were so friendly and kind. Breakfast was an up charge of €12 And was pretty good. You might want to spend that $12 getting coffee and a croissant cute little café though. The rooms are small, but that is typical.
