Skøn beliggenhed, og ende skønnere tagterrasse. Det store marked er lige rundt om døren, og alt hvad vi behøvede var i gåafstand. Hotellet er både nyere i sine faciliteter, men stadig meget charmerende. Vi fik de første to nætter et værelse der godt kunne trænge til en kærlig hånd, men de næste to nætter fik vi en skønt værelse. Jeg vil klart bo her igen.

The staff was awesome and the area fantastic. The rooftop view amazing. I would caution though to make sure there are no stairs to your room once you get out of the elevator. We ended up with 17 stairs to get to our room. My bad as I should have asked or made it known we needed accessibility. Lesson learned. Overall we did okay.

So this little hotel is in a very busy area - simply trying to walk down the street with your luggage feels like you’re navigating an obstacle course. At 2 am we were watching from our balcony the drunk people down on the street (very amusing). That being said, it’s in a very convenient location if you’re there to see the sights of Florence. We were able to walk to almost everything. The furthest away point of interest in our itinerary was probably the Piazzale de Michelangelo where people go to watch the sunset. The staff was nice and accommodating. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Rooftop bar served as a lovely way to sit and relax with a glass of wine after a long day of walking and sightseeing. And the breakfast is so good! For the price you really can’t go wrong here!

Spent one night here. Difficult to find because it was hidden by scaffolding. Impossible to stop and unload from car properly. Would not recommend going here if you drive a care. Is great if arriving by public transit. Close to downtown and to public transit. Many dining choices.

Belle hôtel en plein centre ville. L'accès est un peu difficile en voiture quand il y a du monde puisque c'est une rue à sens unique. Mais l'hôtel est disponible pour vous proposer un stationnement temporaire devant l'hôtel le temps de décharger vos valises. Il propose également un service de parking payant, un chauffeur récupère votre voiture pour la garer dans un parking sécurisé et vous la ramène à votre départ. Le personnel était très sympathique et à l'écoute. Accès pratique au centre ville à pied. Petit déjeuner correct. La chambre est petite mais dispose de tout le confort. Petit bémol sur l'insonorisation avec le couloir et l'extérieur. Nombreux activités et restaurants autour.

The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating was because the noise from outside made it hard to sleep from about midnight to 3am. There were women laughing and talking on the street outside. Otherwise, we loved this hotel. It has a rooftop bar with great food and lovely views. The staff is very helpful. Room was always clean.

Hotel located approx 10 minute walk from main train station. Unfortunately difficult to locate due to scaffolding along front of building, so entrance not visible from street, some signage would be useful. All staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Room and bathroom very clean, cleaners were around daily with beds made up & fresh towels, & pillowcases, always seemed to be hoovering landings/ cleaning. Our room (411) had balcony with small table & chairs, lovely view of city, Duomo etc, though end of balcony/ front of building had scaffolfing & netting up, partially restricting view, but not really a problem for us. Nice breakfast buffet selection @ 10 euros. Roof top bar nice and relaxed place to visit in the evening for drinks ( basic food menu). Amazing views of sunset over the city. (open 16.00 - 23.00). Great, friendly staff there too. Maybe decir a little tired ( shabby chic vibe?). Perfect location for great bars & restaurants, 10 min walk to all main sights.

Dit hotel zou ik daadwerkelijk niemand aanraden. Ik had kamer 314. Het meubilair was oud en kapot. Er zaten vlekken op de muur en op de vloer. Het bed was net een houten plank. De zogenaamd verduisterende gordijnen deden weinig tegen zonlicht. De koelkast was de eerste dag uitgezet. Het is er supergehörig. De douche was veel te klein. Ik ben 183 en mijn schouders kwamen tegen de zijkanten van de douche cabine met vieze vale douchegordijnen aan. Ik zou mijn geld willen terugvragen maar het personeel heeft op haar manier helaas alleen de doucheknop gerepareerd en deze ging nog twee keer stuk.

They didn’t really clean our bathroom. We had a clogged drain upon arrival and we were too tired to ask to have it fixed our first night so we requested it the next morning. They cleared it but left a mess afterward. The ac did not work well. It’s got some character and our room on the first floor was a bit nicer than those on the second. The second floor shower was too small for a grown man and water splashed all over the floor when showering. The pillows and beds were pretty uncomfortable. The hallway had an awful sewer smell. Overall it was a fine location but probably wouldn’t stay here in the future.

El hotel está bien situado y el personal es muy amable, sin embargo las instalaciones dejan mucho que desear, está muy antiguo, el baño es muy pequeño e incómodo, el armario de la habitación para una estancia de 6 días pequeñisimo y con pocas perchas. Los colchones son cómodos. La moqueta y cortinas con manchas y las paredes a falta de pintura. Muy caro para las instalaciones que tiene. El desayuno bastante bien.

We had the room cleaned everyday. The hotel and furniture are a little outdated. My complaint is on the exhaust. It just doesn’t work. The toilet gets fogged up after taking a shower. But we can live with that. The shower drain clogged up at the start of our stay. The toilet floor was flooded as a result. We told hotel staff about this and they addressed this asap. The room temperature was comfortable. Overall, it was a good stay. The hotel is located in a central area. It is closed to Mercato Centrale and the duomo. It is also close to the Santa Maria Novella train station where you can travel via trams, train or buses. There is a tourist information at the Santa Maria Novella Church where you can get a map of the city.

The room was small, but fine for us. Due to building work outside we couldn't have the windows open, which made it feel a little claustrophobic especially as the a wasn't that efficient. The hotel was perfectly placed location wise, easy for the station and the main sites. The roof top bar was wonderful, stunning views and the food offered was simple but lovely

Definitely needs an update, rooms are old, and the walls are scratched and old. This hotel was not inexpensive at all. Definitely need to change some things, i would not return or recommend.

Tiniest shower I ever had! I’m a slim person and I couldn’t even turn around, every time when I move the faucet hit my back! With the money I paid this is totally not worth it! Staff were nice, location very good, easy walk to all the places but that’s it.

Great location and easy to walk to from the train station, although tbe building is covered in scaffolding currently so easily walked past. The man on Reception was very friendly and chatty, he would always greet us when coming/going, however other reception staff would blank you. Room 112 was very nice, room was a good size but the bathroom is quite tight. If you were larger or had poor mobility you might struggle to get into the shower as you have to side step past the bidet to get in, but not a big problem for us. Room was also very hot, aircon does very little to help. I enjoyed the room being hot but my husband had to open the window. As it's located very centrally, it is very noisy at night time from a nearby bar, we were woken a few times at 2am from loud americans coming out of tbe bar, so if you're a light sleeper id ask for a room at the back of the hotel, as we were right at the front literally right above the reception/fronted entrance. The walls are very thin, we were kept awake by our neighbour crying all night and could hear conversations going on from down the hall. But as long as you're not a very light sleeper, this hotel is excellent for you. We found breakfast a bit expensive at €10 per head per day so didn't purchase this. Roof terrace is excellent, beautiful views and not busy at all which we were surprised by. It's a real hidden gem and we really enjoyed sitting up there and seeing Florence from above. FYI- city tax is €6 per person per night.

Hotel Machiavelli Palace is a true gem within Florence. The hotel is only five minutes from the train station, making transportation to and from very manageable. It came as a great blessing after being on the trains all day. The room that we were provided with had a charming Tuscany vibes. The room had high vaulted ceiling made of wood, and a lot of room for our luggage and walking space. The restroom was a bit tricky when it came to the shower, but overall just as spacious and easy to use. The staff were always welcoming, and hospitable, answering all of our questions and assisting us even in the later hours of the night. We did not eat at the bar on the rooftop, however it has a beautiful view of the city.

The location of the hotel was awesome and we were put on the 5th floor with an awesome balcony view. The room was small (typical for hotels in the older city center in Italy) and the shower was very small. The A/C was weak but the rest of the hotel experience was very good.

The Staff was helpful and very friendly, the hotel is a little old but well maintained and kept very clean by the staff. They helped with pick up and delivery of our car which if you know Florence this is big. The Roof Top bar is an excellent place to rest at the end of the day with a drink with friends and family, it has a breath taking view of the Duomo and Sunsets, hotel is a winner for sure. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with out hesitation

Overall, this hotel was excellent. The room was unique and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sun set from the rooftop, a special amenity. Unfortunately, responsiveness from the staff was not quite as strong. We called both prior and after our stay to address some questions, and were told to email to receive a very fast reply. We emailed via Expedia and directly, several times, but never received a reply in any case. Still a great hotel, but don’t count on assistance if you need help when you are not on the premises.

The property was quite basic but the staff were helpful and efficient. Although everything was within easy walking distance which was great, pick pockets were rife. One of us had our bag stolen outside the hotel. As we were on our way to the airport, this was a nightmare!

This was an excellent hotel. It was in easy walking distance from the train station. When you step outside you are near a plethora of shops and restaurants. The staff were very attentive and kind. We got in early so they stored our bags. They helped us see the sights even calling a taxi for us and made recommendations. The breakfast was very nice. There is a rooftop bar. We had a hamburger there one night when we were too tired to walk anymore. Great overall.

La atención del personal fue muy buena, el buffet de desayuno es variado y rico. Una ventaja es su cercanía a transporte, lugares de interés y restaurantes accesibles. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! Our stay was absolutely superb! The breakfast was delicious, especially the variety of croissants that my kids absolutely loved. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff at the reception were truly amazing. A special thank-you to Andrew, who was exceptionally helpful and made our stay even better. The only issue we experienced was that the internet never worked during our visit, but everything else was perfect. Despite that, we would definitely love to stay here again. Highly recommended!
