This was the perfect base camp for our short stay in Florence. The 24 hour front desk allowed us to check in with ease after taking a late train, and the gated building made us feel safe and secure (hotel is on the 3rd floor after you enter the gated area). Staff was great and gave us a map and suggestions on where to visit and how to get there. Breakfast was tasty and convenient. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and is in a prime location to walk to the main attractions! The rooms are simple but clean and have everything you need. There was a little bit of noise at night because of the central location, but overall was impressed how quiet the room was. Highly recommend if you want a great location st a great price.

Hotel location is moments away from main attractions, restaurants, bars etc. Don't be put off by the Hotel entrance, access via secure gates and lift to the 3rd floor Reception. Very helpful staff, bedroom and bathroom very comfortable and spacious. Small breakfast room but always very well stocked, super friendly staff and kept very clean. A great 3 star hotel option for an enjoyable stay in Florence.

Great hotel in Florence, Italy, Il Perseo is in a great location and makes a perfect homebase for sightseeing the city and excursions to the countryside. It's a 3 star hotel so its affordable but feels more like a 4 star hotel. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, the views from the windows are nice, and they offer a really good breakfast with a lot of variety. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer laundry service at an incredibly low price.

Hotel Perseo is really situated in the perfect spot for everything, especially the train station. It was clean, the staff were really helpfull, there was drinks available free 24 hrs a day. The room was small but O.K. as you were mainly out and about and the room was just to sleep and freshen up in. Good hotel - would stay here again .

An absolute gem in the centre of Florence. All the staff were so lovely and accommodating especially Asia who went over and above to make sure we were very well looked after and comfortable. She was so thoughtful, mentioning we could get free filtered and cold water whenever we wanted. When bottles could be £3 each we were so grateful for this luxury. Our children also loved the fact that she offered them colouring and drawing supplies when we had some time to kill before our train to Rome. We were there 15th August which is a public holiday in Italy. Florence was so busy, crowded day and night, and having this hotel in the centre as a base was the best thing we could have done. We could leave our things in our room and pop back as we were walking past which saved us walking around with everything in the 38 degree or having to wear clothing appropriate for the church and the heat we could just come back and change. The air conditioning in the hotel was good. The beds were very comfortable and our rooms were spacious and had everything we needed including a fridge. The breakfast was lovely. Including cold meats and cheeses and melons and fresh fruit as well as very delicious pastries and usual cereals, nuts and yoghurts. All together this hotel made our trip to Florence such a wonderful experience at a time that can be quite challenging with crowds and heat. I feel sorry for all the people that don't stay here.

The building was secure. The room was really nice for our family of 4. The bathroom and shower were updated. The reception staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great! Luckily there’s a lift to the 4th floor. Very clean. Very close and walkable to attractions. I’d stay here again

The rooms weren’t the cleanest, had major dust bunnies under the beds. Definitely need to do some vacuuming. Besides that it was quiet and got a good night’s sleep.

The staff here went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provide recommendations for food and activities in the area. It was nice to arrive and be greeted by a friendly face. The location was in the middle of all the activity and still felt safe, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet despite being so central to all the activity. My only complaints were that there were mosquitoes in the room which made it difficult to feel settled to sleep, some mold/mildew in the shower, and the coffee from the machine at breakfast tasted burnt. It was an excellent location and the staff made us feel welcome. It was more straightforward and simple accommodation than other places on out trip, but I would stay here again.

Fantastic location, 3-4 mins walk to the Duomo. Decent breakfast options. Only downside is that the property is very old and so are the rooms. When we walked into the room every time, there was a damp/musty smell which not pleasant. The room are in need for some renovation!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions or extra amenities. The beds were on the firm side, which might not suit everyone, but when I mentioned it, they provided extra padding, which made a big difference. The air conditioning worked very well, which was much appreciated during the hot days. The shower had great water pressure and stayed consistently hot, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying with a good variety of options. We booked the Jr suite and couldn't be happier with the room. The view from the terrace was amazing. Only recommended for people that can handle stairs, but if you can the payoff is more than worth it. We would definitely stay again when visiting Florence.

Just okay, but good for the price. Showers in Italy are all small but this one we almost couldn’t move inside of. Room was clean and area was good for getting to all the attractions. The included breakfast was also just okay. Sits on a very busy road, so not a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence if that is what you are looking for.

The property is perfectly situated right in the heart of Florence. Because of our status with Expedia we were upgraded to a Suite with a private rooftop terrace with a view of the Duomo and surrounding area. It was amazing. The staff was super friendly. The Hotel Il Perseo's location, cleanliness, service, and a good breakfast make it a geat value. We have stayed here a few times and have gotten to know the owner and manager who are very hands on with managing the hotel and staff. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in a long time. The staff is courteous, friendly and very helpful. Special mention to the owner and Laura who made us feel welcomed. The hotel room was clean and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located i.e close to the SMN Train station and all the magnificent structures in Florence. It is in the safe place and at a walkable distance from all the best restaurants and attractions around the area. Highly recommend this hotel for families!

Oscar and all staff were very friendly and super helpful. Al spoke excellent English. We booked tickets for attractions through them and they gave extensive advice and great options. We mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and within minutes of arrival, Oscar brought a bottle of Prosecco on ice to our room. A very lovely touch. Location is excellent just 2 mins from the Domo and easy walking to other main attractions. We highly recommend the hotel and particularly the excellent location and staff.

The staff were really brilliant at Hotel Perseo. The lady on reception even learnt our room numbers and we were only there a few days. Staff at breakfast were also lovely. The rooms were comfy and very quiet which was great given how close we were to the centre.

The location is great for sightseeing but overly crowded once you are out on the street. Hotel staff is very friendly and nice, will try to answer to your questions even they don’t know all the answers. Room is ok, basic type with a bathroom very small. Good for 1-2 travelers probably not good for family trip. Overall a good choice to stay in Florence for a day or two.

Great property in a very good and safe location. From the train station, it is just a 10 min walk away. Museums and Academy all within a mile walk. Do book your tickets ahead though. Many restaurants and shopping and the Duomo within a block! Reception is very friendly and gave good recommendations. Would definitely return and stay here again!

The hotel was in the heart of Florence with easy walks to all tourist sites & tram to airport. It was very quiet, beds very comfy & we slept very well. The hotel manager was extremely accommodating, helpful & very friendly. Breakfast was very nice & exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

The staff was beyond amazing. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing, the staff made fresh cappuccino or espressos upon request, and a great variety of options from delicious pastries, fresh fruit. antipasto, breads, jams and jellies, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, nuts and dried fruit. Our only criticism is the shower, we managed to get the whole bathroom wet each shower, no shower curtain. But that was nothing, we would stay there over and over again.

Les points positifs : le service et la gentillesse du personnel, l emplacement, la taille de la chambre. Mais un peu déçus globalement car le prix est difficilement justifiable… la salle de bains méritait un coup de neuf et de propre, et l’immeuble est partagé ce n’est pas un hôtel « classique ». Le petit-déjeuner pourrait aussi être plus fourni notamment avec du chaud.
