Zentraler geht es nicht. Mit dem Auto ist man allerdings auf den kostenpflichtigen Service (ab 30 €/Nacht) im Haus nebenan angewiesen. Das Personal dort war ebenfalls sehr nett. Das Auto wird außerhalb des Zentrums geparkt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, das Personal supernett und der Checkout war bis 12.00 Uhr (!) möglich. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Breakfast had different breads to toast and luncheon meats with condiments for sandwiches. They also had eggs, bacon, pancakes, cold cereal with raisins, nuts, etc. also had yogurt and cappuccino maker or choice of tea. Gluten free options too. Staff at front desk and breakfast room were courteous and friendly, excellent hosts. Room had a large king size bed with extra pillows and a fridge. It was dated, but clean. We did not use the air conditioning as we could open the windows. We were in Room #304 and could hear bar patrons at the end of the night, but that didn’t last long. Hotel was in the tourist district and walking distance to many tourist destinations and there was a laundromat across the street. $5 for wash and another $5 for the dryer. Restaurants were expensive, as expected, but looked inviting. The gym was in the lower level and had a sign for an extra charge for $10-15. We did not use.

The rooms were clean and spacious if a little lacking in colour and character. Walking distance to all the main attractions with lots of restaurants close by. It did not seem the bar ever got opened and would have liked coffee available in the room rather than just tea bags. Breakfast was tasty and good value so only had a few minor negatives. We still had a good stay and would consider it again. So maybe being a bit picky.

Hôtel désuet, en grand besoin de rénover les chambres (nous avons pris des photos montrant les taches sur les murs, et autres dommages). De plus, des frais sont exigés pour l’utilisation du gym ou du spa. De plus, même si on paie l’accès au spa, le bain tourbillon n’est pas fonctionnel et le staff ne semble pas concerné à le faire réparer. Donc, la publicité sur le site Expédia est trompeuse, puisqu’elle montre la photo d’un bain tourbillon magnifique, qui ne fonctionne pas, et ne mentionne pas que l’accès au spa est payant. Finalement, un côté de l’hôtel est adjacent à une salle de réception et un Club Rotary, où se déroulait une fête apparemment mensuelle (confirmé par le staff de l’hôtel). La musique et les cris des fêtards étaient forts et très clairs dans notre chambre et ont continué jusqu’à minuit nuit (preuve à l’appui, nous avons un enregistrement audio). En somme, une expérience très décevante qui ne valait pas le montant d’argent payé.

Excellent service. Front desk, housekeeping, breakfast servers, all staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast food was good, except the scrambled eggs was runny, didn’t taste like real eggs. The staff baked homemade pies each morning which were delicious .The hotel was charming, but definitely needs thorough cleaning and better upkeep. The window shutters in our room, the elevator glass, the tubes/metals outside the elevator were very dirty. We were told the air conditioner was routinely shut off in October, so we had to open our window to cool our room. There were no screens to prevent the mosquitoes from coming in. Outside was noisy-loud conversations and smelled strong cigarette smoke in our room in very early morning hours (1-4am). So we either suffered through a very warm stuffy room with windows closed or being bit by mosquitoes, hearing loud noise and smelling cig smoke with opened windows. They gave us an electric fan but it was also noisy and didn’t work well. I loved the staff, but the hotel maintenance was very poor and disappointing.

Virtually everything that you would want to see or experience in Florence is within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the housekeeping is excellent ( a rarity these days in my experience). My home away from home in Florence.

The whole place is in need of serious cleaning. Glass panels on the elevator are all filthy. Bathroom wall has water stain and looks like has mold built up. Mosquitoes present in the room. Staff is wonderful.

Appalling. No hot water for the entirety of my stay. Cold showers - with complaints about this answered with a shrug. Room stiflingly hot as no working AC and shutters not closed on arrival to shield sun. "Manager" offered "solution" of a fan, which was broken, noisy and useless. Asked for iron and ironing board. Was given a broken iron and a board with no cover - bare metal. I kid you not. Slow, single elevator inexplicably has glass walls, stained by grease, offering a "view" of the rubbish and pigeon poop in the "courtyard" below. Major water leaks from roof left puddles in corridors. This in an allegedly four-star hotel. It is one to two stars AT BEST but way, way overpriced for this level of service, comfort, cleanliness and basic competence. Avoid like the plague. You can do far better for your money in Florence. This hotel is an embarrassment to the city. And it has made me question Expedia’s ratings, given how highly Expedia thought of it. A review needed there.

I was disappointed with this hotel choice as the room I booked was not the room I was given, in fact it is not pictured on the website at all. I booked the "Junior Suite" which is shown as a bright, large well furnished room with two windows. https://www.borghesepalace.it/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/19-1.jpg But the room I got was dark with one window and a bathroom terribly in need of a refresh. The man at the desk told me I could not expect to have the room shown that it was only a catagory. I travelled through Naples, Ischia and Sperlonga and always the rooms reflected what they showed me on the booking page. This hotel was the most cost per night and definitely not 4 star, it is the location only that saves it.

Lovely boutique hotel. My room was the Melograno Deluxe Room. The bathroom was spacious clean and bright. The room had a great view of the street and skyline. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was a short walk from everything and right in the middle of the action. Having said that it can get noisy at night hearing everybody having a great time till the early morning. I did sleep with the window wide open however. I did not care for their breakfast though. Eggs, coffe machine, pastry selection were subpar relative to other hotels Ive stayed at in Florence. Overall though I would stay here again, i had a great time. Thank you to the staff as well.

Petit déjeuner sans grande variété. Personnel juste aimable. Pas de climatisation, ou dysfonction : 28° avec clim reglée sur 17°. Il ne nous a pas été proposé de de changer de chambre, leur intervention a consister à fermer la clim et nous demander d'ouvrir la fenêtre, mais moustiques, on nous a fourni une prise antimoustique. La chambre est spacieuse mais aurait besoin d'un coup de neuf... côté salle d'eau cest pire, materie vieillot, douche qui s'écoule difficilement, lunette des toilettes ne tient qu'à moitié, mousseur de robinet datent du siècle dernier...etc. Côté ménage pas terrible, on a dû demande pour que la chambre soit nettoyée chaque jour! Il ne merite certainement pas la note de 8 que lui donne Expedia. Quand aux **** elles ne sont certainement pas méritées.! Seul point positif son emplacement. Mais à déconseiller fortement.

The properties is definitely not 5 stars. More like 2-3. also, this place is right next to the nightclub so it’s extremely loud at night even during the weekdays. The windows do not reduce the noise by much. The room was really small with a very small an not functional nightstand. The bathroom also small cool water running in the shower. The blackout window curtain was broken. I did not close during my stay. I came to fix it in three days I was there. The location is great, but the fact that I could not sleep there due to the external noises is definitely something problematic. I’m not sure if I would stay there again.

I booked 5 nights at this property for my wife and her friend. The main issue is that the junior suite bathroom had a significant amount of mold. The mold smell was also pervasive throughout the room. Leaving the window open during the did not resolve the issue. She and I contacted the front desk to ask to switch rooms, which was not possible as the hotel was completely booked. As well, the manager was not in. After the second night, it was decided that they would leave the hotel and stay somewhere else. The front desk person, was responsive and pleasant to deal with, even thought there was nothing he could do. We were told to contact the manager, and given his email. For the past week, I've been trying to talk to the manager, but have not received any response. I'm quite disappointed with the level of service provided by management. One would think that management would be quick to contact someone when there is a mold issue in the room and the customers leave after 2 nights.

Absolutely great location for exploring Florence. The hotel is beautiful. Had some minor issues with the shower and toilet which were addressed and corrected immediately. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was very convenient and delicious. Fatija makes beautiful pastries and cakes. On my next trip to Florence this will be my first choice of hotels.

I look forward to another stay! The location was great, with an approximately five-minute walk to the Duomo. There were many restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, and an outdoor vendor market nearby. Also, the Arno River is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. (I took a walk from the hotel, over the Arno River, and up a nearby hill to a David statue that overlooks the city in about 30 minutes.) The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly; the diversity of breakfast items did not disappoint. The room was just right for a solo stay! The bed was very comfortable; I enjoyed the comfort of a good night’s sleep. I loved the design of the shower and the art above the bed. Nice! I look forward to staying again on my next visit to Florence!
