We loved the Marconi, and will stay there again. The staff was thoughtful, and kind. The hotel has the exact old world charm that you want in Venice. When we had an early departure, the staff provided us with breakfast boxes, since we would miss their onsite breakfast. Be aware that there are stairs, lots of stairs.

It was very old and the bathroom dangerous to get in and out of!! No elevator and I was on the 4th floor. They did help carry luggage! Air conditioning did not work to cool the room below 80. Pillows were very flat, Need new mattresses as well! Day staff was helpful but evening were not friendly! Location was great - right next to Rialto bridge but Venice was very busy so always loaded with people and garbage!

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Hotel Marconi and it truly exceeded our expectations! The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of Venice, just steps away from the iconic Rialto Bridge. It was the perfect base for exploring the city’s charm and magic. The customer service was exemplary from start to finish. Although there are no elevators, the hotel staff made everything easy for us. A special thank you to Joel, who went above and beyond to help with our luggage and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the outdoor seating right in front of the hotel located directly by the canal and next to a Gondola station. We especially enjoyed relaxing there with drinks and snacks while taking in the view and watching the gondolas pass by. It was truly a magical Venice experience! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - a great variety and the perfect way to start the day. We highly recommend Hotel Marconi to anyone visiting Venice. The combination of location, service and comfort made our experience unforgettable. We’d definitely stay here again!

The location close to Rialto Bridge is a highlight. The bathroom in our room was dated and could use an update, but everything worked and the bathroom was roomier than some of the others we've seen in Italy. The beds were comfy and the air conditioner was great! Included breakfast was a plus. The decor was quirky and the room was small, but it had all the basics covered. We were on the 3rd floor, which was a bit of a maze to reach and there is no elevator, but the staff was very helpful and carried our luggage up for us. They were also helpful with water taxi service scheduling and provided daily room cleaning and fresh towels. Overall a comfortable stay

Yes, this is an ancient building but the decor is very very dated very dark. No elevators, narrow dimly lit stairs about 3-4 flights up to get to the room. It was a very small main room and again the decor was very dated and dark and there was a blackened mirror which just added to the creepiness. The bathroom was contemporary and okay.. I unfortunately prepaid and we lasted one night and of course there was no refund.

I did not like the fact that there was no elevator and the hotel gave us the 4th floor traveling with an almost 80 year old was not good, she had to stopped on every floor to breath. everything else the front desk was kind and friendly gave us some tips on where to eat with a map.

The hotel was in a very convenient area. Right next to the Rialto Bridge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but that’s what makes it unique and gives it a true Venetian charm. It had a very nice breakfast. Keep in mind there are no elevators so you might have to walk up a few stairs cases. They did have someone help carry it up when we arrived which was very helpful.

Our room had a horrible sewer gas smell that was overwhelming. I mentioned it at checkout and all I received was a “we will check into it”. The room was small but comfortable. The staff was very kind and let us leave our luggage in the lobby until our room was ready, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is on the grand canal so you’re basically paying for the location. Within walking distance of all things Venice!

For money, you are paying for location only. Beds are not comfortable and lack of updates makes the room feel somewhat dirty/ in need of paint.. the return the key policy every time you leave your room provides little comfort, as I obliged and when I returned to pick up my key, the front desk attendant said I forgot which room you are in, what number?? I could have said any room number and I would have had access… not secure in my opinion. Stayed two nights, unfortunately wont be back.

Room was exceedingly small for the size of the furniture. It was difficult to get from one side of the bed to the other, maybe 5-6” clearance. Also the bathroom was on that opposite side as well. Barely room for our belongings leaving a tiny path around the room. The bathroom was nice, as well as clean.

The property is typically venetian in style and whilst it does appear dated and a bit tired it is well looked after and maintained. Room wise, everything was super clean. The air con worked!!!(my main concern in the heat), with good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast, a typical european breakfast buffet was free and even included prosecco! The location of Hotel Marconi can’t be beat. Stepping out of the main entrance door to the main canal and a beautiful Rialto Bridge view are the key points to this hotel. Several restaurant options along the walkway as well as shopping along the Rialto Bridge. The breakfast is quite nice with an espresso/capuccino machine, hot eggs and bacon, many pastries, cold meats and cheeses, fresh rolls and bread along with a toaster, a variety of juices and fresh fruits. An important thing to note is the business of the area which also means noise. It can be noisy throughout the night, so earplugs are super helpful. The room itself was okay with the basic amount of space, a small t.v., a mini fridge and just okay bed. The queen bed was made up of two smaller twin beds without a topper so the seam between the two beds was a bit annoying. The bathroom was decent with plenty of hot water and a small bath/shower combo. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again

Our stay was great! The staff super friendly & courteous. It’s right next to the Rialto bridge. Across from the water bus. Our room was very standard and small but bed was comfortable. Our room was right next to one of the alleys so you can hear the next door restaurant employees throwing out glass bottles. I had to put on my white noise. Other than that it does need some updates but we loved staying there.

The lady at check in was a completely terrible. Poor attitude and didn’t mention about WiFi or breakfast. Other than her, the place was fantastic. We would stay there again. The clerk at night and the next day were great. The breakfast was amazing.

For money, you are paying for location only. Beds are not comfortable and lack of updates makes the room feel somewhat dirty/ in need of paint.. the return the key policy every time you leave your room provides little comfort, as I obliged and when I returned to pick up my key, the front desk attendant said I forgot which room you are in, what number?? This is the most expensive hotel we stayed in, in all our trip around Italy. Having paid $600 per night ee found the rooms very average. Firstly they don’t have a lift so we had to climb three flights of steep stairs to get to our room. The mirror in the room was broken and there was hardly any space to even open the cupboard doors. They have tried to fit 4 beds in a double room charging an astronomical rate for it. We then asked to shift to a ground floor room where the shower had no pressure at all, if you moved the dial towards hot. We complained and they said a technician was coming who never turned up. Staff are quite rude. The lady at the front was nice but the men at the desk looked exasperated if we asked them something. On our last day the hot water completely stopped. The pictures they show on Expedia abd the actual rooms don’t have much connection at all. The only good thing was the location right next to Rialto bridge

The hotel staff was very friendly, especially the front desk person (I think he is philipino). They had sausages, eggs, bacon, ham, bread, many sweets, drinks, tea/coffee, etc. It was one of the best I have seen for breakfast included hotel stays. Also, hotel is on the Grand Canal and they have few chairs and two tables in front of the hotel for their guests to enjoy in evenings or day time near the canal. There were lot of dining options nearby. Hotel was very responsive to my messages through Expedia and even arranged a taxi from airport to hotel at late night. We stayed with 2 kids and we were very happy with our stay and would deycome back.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Hotel Marconi and it truly exceeded our expectations! The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of Venice, just steps away from the iconic Rialto Bridge. Location was great if u want to be close to Rialto Bridge. Staff was very helpful and kind. They had a wide selection of breakfast food to choose from and everything was delicious! We check out early and they gave us breakfast bag to go. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Room was elegant and beautiful, right on the Grand canal with access to so much around. Water taxi from the airport, drop off in front of hotel. Water bus station a short walk away to get to the train station. Easy to navigate and get around. Walking around was fun.

The location of Hotel Marconi can’t be beat. Stepping out of the main entrance door to the main canal and a beautiful Rialto Bridge view are the key points to this hotel. Several restaurant options along the walkway as well as shopping along the Rialto Bridge. The breakfast is quite nice with an espresso/capuccino machine, hot eggs and bacon, many pastries, cold meats and cheeses, fresh rolls and bread along with a toaster, a variety of juices and fresh fruits. An important thing to note is the business of the area which also means noise. It can be noisy throughout the night, so earplugs are super helpful. The room itself was okay with the basic amount of space, a small t.v., a mini fridge and just okay bed. The queen bed was made up of two smaller twin beds without a topper so the seam between the two beds was a bit annoying. The bathroom was decent with plenty of hot water and a small bath/shower combo. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again

The location is excellent, overlooking the Rialto bridge, and taxi at the front door. This made transfer from the airport to the hotel very easy. The hotel is dated, but very clean, white bedding white towels, and the breakfast excellent!

Great location. Old building. Great staff that was helpful in any way. Bathrooms can be upgraded or renovated to get a decades old stained moldy corners of vanity. Better products can be used to give a fresh scent to the bathroom after cleaning instead of moldy wet smell that is unpleasant. Walls have amazing finish.

The location is great, next to the Rialto bridge and minutes walking to any point in Venice. We got the standard room so it was abit tight. Breakfast provided is ok. Lower floor is noisy from foot traffic and restaurants next to the hotel. If you are planning on a transfer to and from the airport to the hotel, be very specific on asking for direct private water taxi only service. By default the hotel arrange a car pickup then transfer to water taxi both ways and this will add at least another 20 plus minutes to your journey.
