Days Inn by Wyndham Carson City

They requied a $300. No refundable pet deposit. Also i am disabled requested a down stairs room with one bed but was told there were none and had to pay a $15. A day up grade room charge for 2 beds. The air filters in the heater /AC unit looked like they were never cleaned. They have no pet walk area and what is around was full of pet droppings if they would put in a pet waste station people would be willing to pick up after thier pets because most people dont carry pet waste bags. The furnishings are old and battered with drawers that were dirty. Trash cans were dirty. And black sticky blobs on floor. This place is very disappointed being a Wyndham property.

My experience was amazing. No headaches no bothers. Fridge, microwave, cable w/ movie channels(for kids too) Laundry is cost effective and all staff members are polite, helpful and courteous

Well, it is not really bad experience but I needed to know hotel charges $25 additional fee for dog.

I really liked the security. My new Harley was there with cameras on it and well lit parking. I like the vinyl plank flooring.. The bed was extremely comfortable.. I definitely will be back.. The one thing I didn't care for was. The breakfast was a little overwhelming with people.

The owners/staff were amazing! Very accommodating, nice, and professional! The price was great as well! They allowed us to have our dog with us, which is huge!

We stayed in a pet-friendly room with our dog, everything was clean and beds were decently comfy. I liked that it had a laminate floor and the pet fee was low. Noises from the neighboring rooms were a bit loud though. Also, breakfast was just a to-go bag with a water, apple, granola bar, and pastry.

The room has recently been remodeled? Instead of carpet there is LVP which normally requires thresholds to be changed and so there is a half inch gap under the door leading out. There is no 1/4 round installed and so the expansion gap is visible everywhere. The toilet is the smallest toilet I’ve ever seen. The ice machine was out of order for 4 of the days we stayed. The adjoining room had a baby and a dog even though the hotel was mostly empty, so restful sleep was not on the menu. This property was not up to our standards and will be the last time staying here.

It was fine if you just need a place to sleep. Nothing spectacular. No facilities like a pool or spa. Room could have been fine tuned (walls needed paint touch up, sink had stains in it.)

This was my second stay in a few weeks. I wanted to give the place a try again as the staff (on my first visit) had been kind. First time- Window left open before check in so all the smoke for the guy outside filled the room. 2/3 of all light fixtures were missing light bulbs. This time I check in at a little after 4 and they don't have all rooms clean so I have to be put in an area of the motel I requested not to be (I couldn't wait... I was there for someone in the nearby hospital) The room was in BAD shape. Only one chair for the table, missing paint for all over. Flooring had gaps and buckles- I have to wear shoes at all times. The bathroom fan was sooooo LOUD you could not turn the light/ fan on. I had to get a flashlight to be able to use the shower. Ice machine was always 'in need of resetting. While it is a cheaper option- you really get what you pay for.... Never again if I can help it!

It’s cleanish. Beds were clean and everything looked clean but upon checking the beds as a precaution, I found a dirty pair of socks under my mattress and a hair clip with hair still on it on the shower rod. Just make sure to check everything and I’d only recommend a very quick, short stay.

Property was very clean and quiet. Front desk staff were very friendly and fun. Would absolutely stay here again!

Room wasn’t as clean

They charged our card before we got to the hotel. It was only to hold the room. They wouldn't let us use our main card. The floors in the room were filthy and food particles dried on the floor. No decent safety lock on the door.

There was a plate of food in the microwave, a cup of coffee on the bathroom counter and dirty socks on the floor next to the window.

The non-smoking room I reserved ( and got, according to the sign on the door ) reeked of smoke. It was so strong that it couldn’t have been smoke from a passerby wafting in, or an occasional non-compliant tenant. It is either long term disregard and non-compliance, or very deficient insulation allowing smoke from neighboring units to penetrate ( again, a long term issue) — why didn’t I complain? - it was late, I was tired from traveling all day from the east coast, and based on the parking the motel looked pretty full, so I didn’t even try to see if a room change was possible, just grimace and bear it. As a former smoker (decades ago) I know what scent an occasional cigarette leaves, and what long term smoking does to fabrics, furniture, etc. Speaking of which, the sink appeared to have cigarette burns in it, where the surface was melted, as if it had been used as an ashtray. Based on my assessment, management is either oblivious or purposefully ignoring this issue.

The room was dirty, the air conditioner had debris in it so we couldn’t use it. Stains on the chairs and bedding. It was loud and felt unsafe so we asked for a refund and left.

Room was not properly cleaned. Toilet had remnants from previous occupant as well as several other surprises. The sheets appeared to be clean though. Otherwise the room was comfortable but showed signs of age

The room was good and spacious, however the bed was not very comfy, the mattress was a bit “Lumpy”

The property around the area is a dirt area and right next to a car wash, which can be noisy. I was surprised that none of the rooms have transparency curtains. I had a room on the first floor, and when I open the curtains, everyone walking by can see inside, like it's part of a zoo. The bed creaks. On the good side, the TV reception is quite good. The staff is very friendly. I did not eat any of the included breakfast.

Light switch did not turn on light in room was extremely dark while I fumbled to the bathroom light. Microwave oven was broken (yes I checked the socket breaker. Finally the door was extremely difficult to lock. It seems since my last visit much lower quality mattresses and pillows have been installed.

The TV Guide was wrong and did not work. You stood in the shower and you thought you were gonna fall through the floor and it was so noisy.

The Days Inn in Carson City needs a complete remodel. Dark, dingy, shopworn rooms are not quite basic habitation. Front desk person was nice, but the rooms are really on their last legs and management is charging top business rates. Any motel 6 would be a huge improvement.

Area did not feel safe, bath tub felt like it was old and squeaked every time you stepped around while showering. Room size was good just needs an update

The beds were comfy. It was quiet and good location. Rooms were in desperate need of a make over and paint etc. Very run down but it did the job for our 2 nights.

The web site said it had a walk in shower and it was a full tub. The room could use a remodel. It looked as it was from the 70's.

The deadbolt on the door barely engaged (perhaps a 1/2 inch. The cleaning staff knocked and immediately opened the door without waiting while I was still in bed/the room, BEFORE checkout time.

I booked and paid one room in Days inn Carson city for two nights (6/19 - 6/20) on 06/18 morning . When I booked, the Expedia website just said "2 queens bedroom" and did not mention smoking or non-smoking, so I assumed it is a non-smoking room. We never smoke and have a 6 year old daughter, so we can’t stay in a smoking room. On 6/18 3:10PM, I received one confirmation email from Expedia which said "2 queen SMK.....". Unfortunately, I did not see this email until around 5PM. So, I called the hotel, and the hotel asked me to contact Expedia for the cancellation. I did contact Expedia, and they promised me that I will get the refund. On the second day, 6/19, at 3:48PM, a man from the hotel, Days inn Carson city, called me and asked whether we will check in. We explained to him that it is a smoking room so we won't check in and we have already asked Expedia to help us to cancel the booking, he replied "All right". We thought that he approved our cancellation, and we never checked in. Several days later, Expedia sent me an email and said that the hotel are holding my original charge and declined my refund request. This hotel clearly knew that I had been trying to cancel the reservation since 6/18. But, unbelievably, this hotel continuously sent me reservation emails 5 times through Expedia, with one email right after the man who said "all right" called us on 6/18, even though we never checked in. The way that Days inn dealt with this incident is unacceptable and shameful!

The room was neat and clean. The TV had dozens of good channels available to view. However, when I checked in, there were two employees behind the counter. One was on the phone and the other looking at a computer screen. Neither one acknowledged my presence. The phone person finally finished the call, then directed her attention on the other employee. During this time, a customer came in with a complaint that his room wasn't clean. He was given a different room. All this time, I was treated as if I was not there. Then I was asked for my ID and CC. I presented a military ID and a VISA card. They did not like my military ID and I had to give them my DL. I was then asked if I wanted to use "this credit card" for my account. I responded that, "why else would I give you this card?" No response. There were "computer issues" so it took many more minutes to confirm my check-in. The next day, I came into the office for the free breakfast. One of the juice flavors was not available, and no fruit was available. The next day, there was no milk--the employees were not routinely checking the status of their breakfast supplies. In summary, a clean place to stay with everything in the room working--but the office staff seemed to be incompetent.

Some people were locked out of their room at 8am and there was no staff in the office or answering the phone. The office staff who finally showed up told a prospective guest who drove up that there was no vacancy. Maybe that was unusual because other than that morning everything was above average and the staff were all very nice.

Great value! Perfect for our Reno, Virginia City, Carson City, Lake Tahoe touring…Will book again!

It was convenient to the highway and downtown. Bed was clean, rooms could use a paint job though

Very spacious room. Lots of road noise but died down later in the evening. Lots of hot water and water pressure!! Would recommend. Breakfast offering was just so-so but many restaurant options close by.

Excellent, average motel, good internet, good breakfast, clean rooms, except check-in staff not very helpful and friendly, despite presumably having some type of disability.

The Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were very clean. Dislikes: Bathroom sink old and chips with rust. Breakfast choices were very limited.

The recipient at the check-in desk could not find my reservation as I had booked from Expedia and had gotten a confirmation email from them. She made me call Expedia and ask them to call Days Inn for the verifications. No issue we made a call and did as she told us. While check-in we learned that the water won't be back for 2 hrs. that's what we were told. Instead of 2 hrs., it took more than that for the water to be back. The floor and the bathtub were making continuous noise as we walk or shower. The breakfast was a joke just an apple and a bar. We had stayed here a few yrs back and really liked the services so we decided to stay here again. This time it was such disappointing.

Clean comfortable room. Continental type breakfast in Lobby, plus make your own waffles. Staff was very friendly!

The property was clean and the rooms were spacious. We were provided extra towels as well. There was 2 tables in room for food etc which made it easy to have dinner at room. breakfast was good and owner/staff was very quick and responsive in restocking when any of the items were finished. Was very clean, the bathroom needs another electrical outlet. The breakfast is a little bit more with waffles and toast. This Days in is a nicer one.

Very clean room. In a convenient location, close to restaurants. Breakfast in the lobby every morning.

It met the objective of giving us a safe comfy place to sleep. Personnel was welcoming and attentive to my concerns. I appreciated the attention and comfort. They can improve on their continental breakfast!

Overall, expectations met. I would recommend they would serve a full breakfast instead of light BF.
