Fitness room was closed, ice machine in bldg 2 did not work, room was adequate but outside noise was sort of loud. Fair value for the rate. Staff were really good.

Great affordable place to stay, I enjoy the atmosphere, cleanliness, coffee/breakfast, polite staff. 24 hour desk, nice room with microwave and fridge. However, I find parking at night very difficult bc all the spaces get taken, also during check in the lady was far away from me while asking questions, so all the strangers in the lobby got to hear my license plate/car type, and that I was staying there alone. I felt uncomfortable with that. Also still wish the rooms had a hotel latch on the door for added safety. That said, I still highly recommend this motel as much better than Motel 6 for same price. Cleaner, much more included, pretty, bigger rooms, etc

I love the personnel how they make you feel like home. Parking wise you have to be back early otherwise you have to park on the street but don’t worry it’s safe to park as well.

It’s a great place to stay nice and quiet. The only bad thing is that if you go out and come back late you might not find a parking spot but you can always park on the street and it’s very safe as well.

Nice personable staff. Cleanliness needs to be a priority. I noticed two hairs on my pillow and it made me wonder if they even changed the sheets. As well as the pillowcases. But that’s just me. I’m kind of picky.

The elevator operator permit expired 7/12/22, last inspected July 12th 2021 Bathroom - just could not get in the bathtub to take a shower it was old, caulking on floor side so caked, cracked, not sure what was growing in it Rust stains in sink, I washed the floor before we used it. The property has long term rentals, there were people at the front desk telling ALL the problems with room they wanted noted so they would get their deposit back I wanted to run but we were so tired we just said how bad could it be, we got in our room and hear a knock, some guy was walking down the hallway knocking on every door, we never opened the door the next knocks…we put a chair under the door -on 3rd floor- and slept with the light on. Amazed Expedia sells rooms for this property

We found the place very welcoming, cute and comfortable. More than anything, very clean. Our room was very clean, had a microwave, a small refrigerator, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. A/C worked great. The shower had wall containers with body gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Hair dryer and night light in the bathroom. Iron and ironing board, which I didn't use, but it's nice to have. There was coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby. The breakfast was included and without being fancy, it had every thing we needed. OJ, tea, coffee, milk, cereals, a variety of breads, fresh fruit or little packs of fruit mix, yogurt. More than plenty to have breakfast without having to waste time or spend extra money. Good wifi, free parking, conveniently located close to everything.The theme of painted delicate branches, flowers, and blooming trees made it very pleasant. We could walk 1/2 block to Red's Old 395 Grill, a wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend The Plaza at Carson City. The staff was also very kind. I have never written such a heartfelt review to any hotel. And it's very reasonably priced also.

Carpet is decades old as well as the rest of the room. Should be updated more by now - esp for the price and area. Tears in carpet - chunks completely missing etc. Door also does not seal (you can see light shine all around the edges/frame) - therefore you could hear EVERYTHING outside and also above and when people use the stairs. Not great for light sleepers. Esp when we had been camping ⛺️ most of our trip and NEEDED some sleep badly. Staff was friendly up front at least.

Lack of charging ports. There were none in the room. There was only 1 available wall outlet. And no in room coffee machine. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. The in-room decorations made it feel more like home

Nice spacious rooms. Very noisy though from street noise and other guests. Walls seemed very thin. Could hear conversations very easily. Breakfast was ho hum with no hot items.

The beds were hard and bumpy and the other bed my partner slept on was so noisy I could not sleep. He couldn’t move even a bit because of this. The people above us were so noisy every night. The toilet was too low, more for a toddler. No coffee maker in our room but I did see a room by ours that had one and their room looked better too. Overall out of all the Hotels I’ve stayed at I have to say this was the worse place, ever.

The staff at The Carson City Plaza was great as always! There was a glitch in my Hotels.com reservation which they promptly corrected. What would have been disastrous, ending my trip day's early because of a glitch in the reservation app , was avoided. Thank you Shari and Rachael! You saved my 5th wedding anniversary trip!

The bathroom toilet was clogged. In the morning, I asked the cleaning staff about it, and she said she would report it to the manager. However, when I returned to the hotel in the evening, the toilet was even worse — the water mixed with feces had overflowed. They didn’t solve the issue at all.

When I got there, the young lady was not very welcoming. She made me feel like I was a bother. The hotel was great and clean, and the older woman who took my room key when I checked out was a sweetheart.

The Carson City Plaza Hotel is a very convenient, clean and friendly place to stay in downtown Carson City. The amenities are sparse and breakfast is minimal. However it is a good place to stay that is close to the capital and the museums without a casino in it. The king room was spacious with a small kitchen and a full sized refrigerator.

Check in was fairly long but understandable. The room was outdated as expected but as clean as it could be. If outside in the parking lot people would ask for money. Breakfast was decent. Saturday morning there was no eggs, but Sunday there was. The lady stocking the breakfast was hustling and very nice. There is 2 saloons next to the hotel one on each side. The saloon that was close to our room seemed to be bust Saturday night. We would hear the commotion the majority of the night. We stayed on the second floor, however the locking mechanism on the windows didn’t work.

It was perfect for me, going to a historical fencing competition in Carson. I guess the breakfast wasn't fancy enough for my roommate and there isn't exactly the variety of, say, a Holiday Inn Express or something in the breakfast department. But I felt it was adequate for sports events because it contained eggs for protein as well as carbohydrate sources. The eggs were boiled so if you don't want to eat cholesterol it's easy to remove the yolk and only eat the white. They had instant oatmeal including unsweetened which is a big deal for me as a sports competitor because I want fiber and complex carbs for the whole day, not necessarily a giant sugar spike in the morning before the event as would have been the case were there only sweet instant oatmeal. I'm a big eater when I go on tournament and there was enough food. I would say it's an older property but it has charm and I personally love it. Someone took the love and care to paint designs on the walls.
