They came to a nearby hotel and pick us up. Help with our luggage and got us a room ASAP. By 11:30am we were in a room and settled. They will be transporting us to the airport. Made my nervous self feel much better as we were in Alaska and traveling to our home outside of Houston, Texas.

Had a nice stay. The room was clean, comfy, and updated. Very convenient location to the airport with a good shuttle service to and from the main airport as well to the smaller carriers such as Wrights Air and Everts, which are located on the other side of the main airport. The front desk person was very welcoming and explained the hotel amenities. It would be great if the hotel had a restaurant or better food options (frozen) from their store.

Expedia showed this property to have a Hot Tub and Pool ... it does not and never has and was one of the reasons we went with this one. This is Expedia's fault though because if you look at their La Quinta page it not listed. 2 times now had Expedia get a listing wrong won't be a 3rd. It's attached restaurant is not open and never will according to staff as covid killed it but that wasn't really an issue for us. Very close to airport. We had to request they clean rooms and we were there for 4 days and they only cleaned 1 time. We just went and got fresh towels ourselves rest of time. Front desk staff was really nice and easy to work with.

La Quinta was a bare-bones hotel with a stuffed bear and wolf in the lobby. (What do you expect in Fairbanks, Alaska?) The people were generally pleasant and helpful. There weren't nearly enough plug-ins for car heaters. Unfortunately, the night we arrived they weren't running a van to the airport. They told us to take a cab and they would pay the driver. We waited well over an hour to get a taxi. We discovered the hotel was only 1.5 miles from the airport--we could have walked there faster.

Good location i tried to stay closer to the airport. The parking is convenient to the lobby. As soon as you walk in you'll see a wolf and bear displayed which was pretty cool. It has three foors rooms have a tv, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was huge. The shower curtain was a bit high. So water was getting in the floor. Free breakfast and coffee. With a 24hr gift shop.

We came to Fairbanks for a week to see the Northern Lights. Because our long flight from Florida arrived after midnight, we decided to spend the first night in a nearby hotel. We wanted a hotel with a shuttle and a free breakfast. LaQuinta checked all the boxes. We got in late, the shuttle came to get us within minutes of my calling, and the breakfast was good. The next morning we went back to the airport to pick up our rental car for the week. I looked at other FAI hotel options and decided this one was the best for our one-night late flight arrival needs. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and we would stay here again.

While the breakfast was fairly decent and the staff was very friendly, our room left things to be desired. -The towel rack in the the bathroom was super loose, the plunger on the bath faucet wouldn't raise all the way, and the bath faucet itself was coming away from the wall. -The bedroom looked clean upon first glance, however, when I looked under the bed, at the end of our stay, I was rather grossed out by all the lent, hair, a random child's toy, and even food (Crumbs and some sort of gummy candy?) that was under there. Do the rooms not get vacuumed between guests? -I also want to mention that, as we were getting ready on our last day, we tried using the iron, but to no avail. It wouldn't get hot and leaked water all over the floor....creating an electrical hazard.

The room had black mold in the shower and my thought was hurting when I woke up. I noticed the black mold in the shower in the morning. This is the first day of a 12 day experience for me and you have ruined it by making me sick. When I told the staff they said “ok, we will look into it” and made no attempts to rectify for us. I am beyond disappointed by this.

While the staff was nice, they didnt follow through on any of our requests. We literally called or stopped by the front desk daily to ask for hsk and for new towels. Each afternoon returned to our room never being cleaned or given fresh towels. Ended up having to call again and many times we had to head to the front desk for clean towels. The breakfast was the exact same everyday (5 days in a row) plus the 2 yogurt machines were broken the entire time. They would run out of fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy or breads and bagels and I would have to ask if they had more, some days they did some days we went without. Most days things were cleaned up before the end of the meal times, no oatmeal, coffee or juice 15min before end of service time. The lobby coffee machine was hit or miss if it was working. One of the elevator was also hit or miss as to if it was working. The bathroom shower grout was moldy some places black and that orange color.

The room was way too hot and wouldn’t cool down. The shower had significant mildew/mold in the grout. In the breakfast room, the trash was overflowing the entire 3 nights we were there with what appeared to be the same trash. Overall not very clean. The staff was very friendly.

This was a wonderful stay! The beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable. One of the biggest things that can ruin a stay is an unpleasant smell — but not here! There was absolutely no bad odor anywhere in the hotel. Everything was so clean, it’s honestly hard to find anything to complain about! 😄 Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise — very diverse with options like omelets, crispy bacon, hash browns, toast, oatmeal etc. If I ever need to stay in this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. Highly recommend! 10/10

We stayed at the Fairbanks AK location. We had a 6 am flight. They had a shuttle ready for us at 4:30 am. So we were able to give our rental car back the night before. Hugely helpful! In general, we had a very comfortable stay. The shower and beds were great! The only problem was the broken room air. It was impossible to adjust. Because there were no vents, we got A LOT of cold air blowing over us. The hotel itself was clean, well appointed and had these magnificent willow wood sculptures on each floor. I tried to inquire as to the maker, but no one knew. If anyone is reading this, I would love to find out who/when/where made them. I think it would be great if they labeled them with all information regarding the sculptures. They are true works of art and La Quinta should be proud to display them appropriately!

Hotel was definitely average for the area. Cleaning was not above and beyond at all, it was borderline bare minimum. It seems there are a lot of things that could be updated like shower heads that are very old and worn down from minerals in the water. Shower curtains that are barely long enough for the showers. Our first room we got put in smelled terribly like smoke. We were told it was because we were close to the smoking patio and the smoke just drifts in. After asking for a room change they gave us one with no issue. The second room was much better. They did have great coffee from a coffee machine in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall the stay was fine, and the hotel staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean. But we came in pretty late and were very tired and when we got to the room, it was quite hot. The windows didn’t open so we had to turn on the air conditioner which was VERY loud and kept us awake most of the night. Other rooms we stayed in at this hotel didn’t have this issue so it must have been a one off, but it made our night pretty uncomfortable.

We checked in and our room was 51 degrees! After talking with the front desk they moved us to another room which was just the opposite hot and could not get the temperature to go down so opened the window .. heard the traffic all night and early morning. We are seniors traveling and for the price of the room it was not a good stay!!! Also breakfast was lacking the first morning.

Basic hotel very much as expected however the thermostat did not work and we could not cool the room . Even on the middle of winter the temperature was 87 and there were strict instructions not to open the windows. Breakfast was fine but the amount of waste was appalling. The bathroom shampoos etc were still in small bottles which were not at all eco.

The heater didn’t work properly and was really hot in the room and hallway. Front desk fixed the thermostat that wasn’t working but the heat never responded or changed. The floor creaks really bad in the room like there was damage to the floor but carpet was just thrown over and wasn’t actually repaired.

The first day that we had stayed, our room appeared not super clean. The front desk staff Megan was rude when we asked for a rollaway bed. The second day, however when we came back the front desk, lady was nicer, more informative, and helpful when we asked for dishes for our room with the stove, top and rollaway bed. The staff here are incredible. They are very personable and absolutely care about your needs and visit to Fairbanks. Megan was an absolute delight and drove out to the train depot for a pick up after just a phone call. Hot breakfast was included and delicious. The lobby was clean and decorated to celebrate the Alaskan culture very well. I’m very happy about my decision to book at this hotel.

We booked this hotel because it is close to the airport, and hotel promoted free shuttle to airport. When checking in on 2/24, we asked for a midnight shuttle later that day. When we checked out around 11:50, we were told that shuttle service was not available because driver called on sick. We were further told that there wad no one else whi could drive the shuttle and that we were on our own. Uber and Lyft did not reply and werenot available. Couldn’t reach taxis either. Time was getting short si we were planning to walk to the airport on packed snow trail. I’m almost 81 years old and was very apprehensive about walking in freezing weather on snow for 10-15 minutes. Another hotel guest pulled into the hotel parking lot and was nice enough to give us a ride. NO ONE at the hotel helped us get to the airport. If it was not for the hotel guest, we probably would have mussed our flight and later connections. The operator/staff of this hotel ought to be fired, and this hotel should be removed from Expedia’s lust of hotels.

Amazing staff at this little Fairbanks La Quinta. Absolutely the friendliest, most thoughtful staff. Front desk staff was very efficient and also helped us with local questions. Airport shuttle was prompt and friendly. Breakfast staff aimed to please. I just can’t say enough about the staff. Property was clean and they had a cute little gift shop.

Location is not near shopping or dining; must drive elsewhere; and driving in Anchorage is nerve wracking. Property has many maintenance problems; when we checked in, the fan in the bathroom did not work and one of two yogurt machines was out of service; while we were there, one elevator quit working; electric breakers in the dining area popped and were not reset in time for us to get the complimentary breakfast. Overall, it was okay. However, it is far from shopping & dining. Fairbanks is fairly small, but nothing is within walking distance from this particular hotel. We had to Lyft to Walmart and it cost us $30 each way for a 15 min trip. The hotel restaurant is closed, which was another inconvenience and we ended up ordering Doordash every day. Please note: Ubereats is not reliable at all in Fairbanks, we tried ordering three separate times and our order got canceled. It wasn’t until one of the tour guides explained Doordash is the way to go when it comes to ordering food. Hotel sheets weren’t the cleanest, towels were old, one was on its last thread. One night, we lost power for about 10-12 minutes, I’m not sure if this is reoccurring thing in Fairbanks so I can’t blame the hotel. Another night the fire alarm went off because a guest decided to cook burgers in his room. All guests had to run to the lobby and wait there for about 30 minutes. Again, I can’t blame the hotel for that either, but think I think these are incidents worth noting. The shuttle service to & from the airport is extremely convenient, which gave us peace of mind.

LaQuinta was located close to the airport, but also near main roads to quickly get you to downtown or other areas in demand. The hotel was spotless. There was a nice gift shop which had everything you need. The staff was very friendly.

Best LaQuinta ever! Very close to airport but no airport noise noticed. Very clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful including front desk and airport shuttle staff. Breakfast was top notch - (full hot breakfast) including a 24-hour espresso machine! We highly recommend staying here.

The staff was very nice and helpful! The breakfast was good, and had a nice variety. The breakfast server was nice, and did a fine job keeping the buffet stocked with all the people that were there. The wifi worked well. My son was happy they had free cookies and hot chocolate! 😋 We will definitely stay there again, and recommend it to our friends. 😃😃👍👍
