Very clean and adequate room with refrigerator. Good location with a short walk to the Seward Harbor area and a 20 minute drive to the Kenai Fjords Exit Glacier trailhead. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception (Diana). It was a minimalist facility, so there is no exercise room or guest laundry, but it was not a problem. It has a quaint 24 hour coffee room adjacent to the check-in lobby. My group enjoyed our stay here.

The gal at the check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with comfortable beds. They had a little coffee "nook" by the front desk since there was no coffee maker in rooms.

Heater didn't work. Hot water didn't work, door seal was missing, allowing alot of the outside weather through. Can hear almost everything from outside as it was the main road. Overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

Only reason be took a hotel, we just came out of a backpacking trip from Denali. So we were craving a hot shower. We got hot water for 15 sec and then it turned cold, then it got warm again for 15 seconds and so forth. The bathroom was so narrow you had to sit sideways on the toilet. The bathroom was very tired, the bedroom was better, at least it was spacy. It seemed clean, but usually a tired looking room also makes it look dirty.

It was only by chance someone was there to initially check me in. The room was FREEZING, in the 50s. No way to adjust heat. I was given access to 3 plug in space heaters, none of which would work! I didn't bring sufficient clothes to deal with that kind of cold so I went back to get a refund. Posted office hours are 9am to 9pm. No one was at the desk. I continuously rung the bell, banged on the wall, yelled, and called both numbers and no one answered. I had to call my bank and put a stop payment on my card to avoid being charged. I left the hotel at approximately noon, I didn't get a call back from them until 7:36pm. I didn't bother calling them back. I have NEVER had a hotel experience as egregiously bad as that. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. NO stars would be more appropriate than 1.

Hotel is very sketchy. Probably would have asked for a refund if I knew I could get a better room in the area. Very limited for the nights we were there. Very expensive for what you get. Halls had dirty, stained carpet, missing ceiling tiles with wires hanging down, patched walls, etc. Room was dingy. Bathtub was dirty. Shower curtain dirty and stained. TV didn't work (fuse to outlet blown), although it was replaced. No air conditioner and the heat ran continuously. Hotel provided fans. (Staff responsive to both of those requests.) It was still so hot in the room we all had trouble sleeping. Bathroom tight. No counter space. Drawers available, but kept coming off the rails. Towels were nice and fluffy. Surprisingly, better than some other hotels during our trip. Old-fashioned key lock. The chain was broken, but at least there is a deadbolt to lock once inside the room. Coffee and tea in the lobby area. Fuse blows when you make coffee and heat water at the same time. Others complained they lost power to their room. Convenient location to catch tour boat to Kenai Fjords. Easy walk. After coming back from an all-day tour, the room didn't look quite as scary. I guess the shock wore off.

The staff here could not have been any better! We took a train from Anchorage to Seward and arrived before our check-in time. The woman at the front desk work with the cleaning crew and we got in with very little wait time. The room was very clean. The cleaning crew did an amazing job. In the evening my daughter went to the front office fir some hot chocolate, but they were out. The front desk staff member said she'd run to the store, get some hot chocolate, knock on our door when she returned and would get us hot chocolate. Talk about going above and beyond, wow, thank you! When I tried to tip, she refused and said she loves her job and no need to tip. Again, wow, who turns down a tip in hotel business when going way above and beyond and says I love my job, no tip needed. This place has some of the BEST staff I've ever seen in the US. I'd know, I've been to 45 states and several countries. Thank you! Great service here, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

First, the room had an a lot of cleaning smells like you were trying to cover up some other kind of smells. Second, the bathroom toilet was so close to the wall that your knees hit the wall when sitting down. My husband who is 6'4 could not set on the toilet comfortably or safely stand. My husband is trim too. Third, blood stains on the sheets. We checked out after one night. We had reservations for 3 nights.

Basically, this is a place to sleep. The room photos on the website are very deceptive. We were put up in a room around the back of the motel which was very inconvenient and dirty. You couldn't walk on the floor barefoot without felling the grit, the microwave was covered in dust and past occupants' fingerprints, one of the bed covers had cigarette burns in it. It just felt like it got cleaned whenever someone got around to it. The bathroom was OK, and there was hot water. We have stayed in some rather sketchy places in our travels around the world but this one takes the cake! Fortunately, we spent most of our two days in Seward away from the motel. For the owners: If you are going to put your customers in the back of the motel at least make the place presentable and secure. Everything in the room looks like it came from a yard sale.

Room was damaged witth holes in wall, Shelf holding tv up was coming off the wall, lights above bed were coming off the wall. Shower facuet was very lose and not caulked. large gaps in Front door framing. Fire and smoke detector not working and coming off the wall. Mold in window sill, and you had to sit sideways on the toilet to go.

Rooms are dated but super clean, in good condition, and an amazing hot shower. Staff very helpful and acted quickly when requested a couple of extra pillows. Located on Seward street so occasional trucks go by but not really loud or affect our slumber. Slept great! Walkable to the marina, close to railroad and Cruise port. Would stay again!

The staff was friendly. Bed was pretty comfortable and linens seemed clean and fresh. However, i think my room had black mold on the ceiling and needed a deep clean. A rack and hangers for hanging clothes would have been nice. I appreciated the retro microwave and mini fridge.

I stayed here because it is just steps from the train depot. Check in was very friendly. Bed is Good. Room needs maintenance. Ni housekeeping during my four nights here. (That’s fine with me.) Best soup and hot dogs in town right across the street.

Noisy parking lot , too hot in room and can’t adjust temperature, knob fell off tub faucet, tub and sink very slow to drain, shower head pointed to wall and not adjustable. Terrible accommodations and way too expensive!

The whole place was clean and did not smell bad. The front counter Person had dogs which gets 10 stars from me, but it was apparent she was bored… But she was really nice too, so it’s OK. Front counter was not open 24 hours which was fine because we didn’t need anything. The condition of the building was pretty good. There were some ceiling tiles missing, floor was uneven, And the carpet looked a little worse for wear (Both in the hallway). I love that the room came with a mini fridge and a microwave!!! Ten stars. It’s right near the port and on the highway so there was some noise if you left the window open, which we did, but I’m used to that kind of noise so it didn’t bother me at all. Plenty of parking, Smoking area, And right next to the parking lot where Kenai fjords tours picks you up. Ice machine, coffee maker with creamer pods, Tea, And hot chocolate, were free in the lobby.

We had one of those days where if it could go wrong it did and Deanna at the Marina Motel saved the day. We called to confirm the reservation before we drove out there and after hearing about our day she not only confirmed the reservation, but when we got there she'd moved us into a bigger room. We called to confirm the reservation before we drove out there and after hearing about our day she not only confirmed the reservation, but when we got there she'd moved us into a bigger room. Very clean and adequate room with refrigerator. Good location with a short walk to the Seward Harbor area and a 20 minute drive to the Kenai Fjords Exit Glacier trailhead. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception (Diana). It was a minimalist facility, so there is no exercise room or guest laundry, but it was not a problem. It has a quaint 24 hour coffee room adjacent to the check-in lobby. My group enjoyed our stay here.

We could not possibly have stayed in the room we had booked due to the faulty lighting. One light didn't work and the other was a headache inducing striplight that constantly flashed. Unfortunately, there was no maintenance person or manager on site to deal with it and all other rooms were full. Eventually, we received a refund and managed to fund another place to stay.

We asked for a state residency rate. They said they would take care of that at check out. They did not honor that. Plus the conditions of the rooms were in not great shape. One room had bad lighting in the bathroom. Getting a hold of someone at the front desk was hit or miss. Mostly miss. Probably not their fault because they’re also cleaning rooms simultaneously. They charge pretty exorbitantly but then staff the place so thinly, you’d think they were going bust. Nah, it’s just someone being a cheap small business tyrant. Just so I’m clear, this is not the fault of the frontline employee. They’re probably busy and don’t have time to be around. Never staying in this place again.

No one was ever on property all afternoon or evening. They left a number to call. No answer no return call . Finally hours later we reach someone and they told us they left our key in the red lock box. Well would have been nice to know and how to get in the box . Does no good if you don’t know or know code . Finally got in . Room was stuffy like has not been open in weeks . Carpet nasty. Outlets didn’t work . Room dark with no lamps , very little lighting not worth $200 plus . Only good thing beds were decent

There was no staff to check in with. The property looks like a construction zone, with holes in the wall and the heat did not work. The TV did not work either. Would not recommend.

It was only by chance someone was there to initially check me in. The room was FREEZING, in the 50s. No way to adjust heat. I was given access to 3 plug in space heaters, none of which would work! I didn't bring sufficient clothes to deal with that kind of cold so I went back to get a refund. Posted office hours are 9am to 9pm. No one was at the desk. I continuously rung the bell, banged on the wall, yelled, and called both numbers and no one answered. I had to call my bank and put a stop payment on my card to avoid being charged. I left the hotel at approximately noon, I didn't get a call back from them until 7:36pm. I didn't bother calling them back. I have NEVER had a hotel experience as egregiously bad as that. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. NO stars would be more appropriate than 1.

The staff here could not have been any better! We took a train from Anchorage to Seward and arrived before our check-in time. The woman at the front desk work with the cleaning crew and we got in with very little wait time. The room was very clean. The cleaning crew did an amazing job. In the evening my daughter went to the front office fir some hot chocolate, but they were out. The front desk staff member said she'd run to the store, get some hot chocolate, knock on our door when she returned and would get us hot chocolate. Talk about going above and beyond, wow, thank you! When I tried to tip, she refused and said she loves her job and no need to tip. Again, wow, who turns down a tip in hotel business when going way above and beyond and says I love my job, no tip needed. This place has some of the BEST staff I've ever seen in the US. I'd know, I've been to 45 states and several countries. Thank you! Great service here, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I stayed here because it is just steps from the train depot. Check in was very friendly. Bed is Good. Room needs maintenance. Ni housekeeping during my four nights here. (That’s fine with me.) Best soup and hot dogs in town right across the street.

The photos of the outside make it look drab but inside it's nice, clean, modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on one side of the highway. Be careful not to overshoot it. It is on the right as you come in, down below the highway level. If you drive over to the other side, you are one minute away from the docks and the area where tourists show up at the offices to join their boat tours. Parking on the other side is crowded, though, so give yourself time to find a spot.

When I was looking for a place to stay, I was coming off of a cruise ship so I wanted something close to the cruise terminal and railroad (since I was headed to Anchorage a few days later). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The initial appearance reminded me of the Bates Motel and the patterns in the room didn’t all match (first world problems I know). However, the location was important, I was able to get a decent night sleep and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was also a microwave and fridge in the room. The floors and comforter were a little dirty, along with the fridge and microwave but I didn’t use those appliances. Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Great location within walking distance of the fishing docks. Pretty clean, but motel is very dated with their security. Had a physical room key that could be easily copied. Very small bathroom and bathtub. The door pictured in the bathroom had a big gap and a guest hallway was on the other side. I’m sure everything we did in the bathroom was heard by anybody in that hallway. They did have self service towels and toiletries which were good quality and very convenient! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice vintage mini fridge in the room was appreciated. Room was very hot, not sure why, but we just opened the windows and it was fine. We stayed in the busy season for 2 nights, $645.

Rooms are dated but super clean, in good condition, and an amazing hot shower. Staff very helpful and acted quickly when requested a couple of extra pillows. Located on Seward street so occasional trucks go by but not really loud or affect our slumber. Slept great! Walkable to the marina, close to railroad and Cruise port. Would stay again!
