This property is a series of motel-style, single story buildings spread out in a forested area near the Visitor Center. Groceries & post office in the same parking lot as hotel registration. Cafeteria style dining with limited menu good food, separate tavern with outdoor patio & fire pit. Hotel registration needs some IT help, slow & weak internet connection. . All 4 Express checkin stations weren't working.

The setting is perfect. Close to the Grand Canyon, with convenient shuttle service to the tour areas. The main parking lot and some of the room/cabin parking lots have free EV charging. HOWEVER, the rooms are not particularly clean, and our room had ants in the bathroom and on the desk near the Keurig. No one in our group was brave enough to use the shower. Additionally, the restaurant served me the worst meal I've ever been served at a restaurant. It was so bad it was comical. Nothing was good. Texture, temperature, flavor--all wrong. Manage your expectations when you go!

Very happy to have picked this place! It is inside Grand Canyon Park so you have to buy your park pass to get there, but it is next to food, grocery, and tavern. Best part was walking from lodge to watch the sunset at Yavapai Point!

The property is very convenient as hit has two bus stops so no need to find parking at the busy Visitor Center or Village. The General Market is right in the parking lot of the Lodge and makes it easy if you want a snack or beverage. We stayed in the West Lodge and loved having outside seating in front of our room to sit outside and relax.

The room was in the woods, which was nice. They had a dog friendly section. There was no microwave. That may be a village-wide policy, I don't know. But we were close to the canyon to drive up there. They took good care of us, and said if we needed anything we could ask. I would stay there again.

Older property but I like the rooms, you are paying for the convenience of being so close to the Grand Canyon. They had tablets to check in and a gentleman made it very easy to do. Asked a few questions about the property and he had the answers.

For what they charge breakfast should be included. They could also deep clean or replace the carpets - filthy and stained. Built in the 1950s with few upgrades since. They want you to save water but shower is an old inefficient fixture - what a joke.

I was told I would receive 25% of my payment returned by Expedia as we were very unhappy with the cleanliness of our room (we still have not received it). The bathroom did not appear to be fully cleaned. There was so much dust on the toilet and there was other people's hair in the shower in the drain. It was gross.

The location was the reason we booked that location and it did not disappoint there (you do pay for it tho). There was a hairball coming out of the shower drain and a weird smell. There was also mascara on the pillow case. There is also an early check in fee for an already expensive hotel. Luckily we were only staying one night otherwise I would have complained.

They replaced the towel bar but left the marks and holes from the old towel bar. Mold where the top part of the tub surround meets the bottom part. Left my sleep meds and when I called, they said they would send my info to the staff. Not a peep. I’m over that but to pay what we paid, I was disappointed. We own VRBOs and repairs and cleanliness are a must!

This lodge offers Old-school 1950s motel motel type lodging in an absolutely stunning setting. Facilities are well maintained. My room was very clean and comfortable, but not as spacious as modern hotels. The bathroom is a bit cramped by modern standards. But who is going to spend time in the room when do much natural beauty—including the Grand Canyon—is outside your door. The lodge’s main building offers an excellent restaurant and a coffee shop. Why stay anywhere else if you’re going to visit the Grand Canyon? I was able to get an excellent rate through Hotels.com.

We stayed in Yavapai East and it was clean and quiet. We didn't hear much of the other guests. Loved that the sink was outside the bathroom so multiple people could be getting ready at once. There were storage shelves there that helped keep things out of the way since the rooms are small. It would make more snese to have the curtain go across the doorway to block light rather than cover the shelves though. Would absolutely stay again, worth the cost to be in the park and a good value rather than hotels closer to rum.

Very clean room in the Grand Canyon park- great location for getting around the park via shuttle busses. Beds were comfortable and clean towels and linens. Only critique is it got loud with tourists slamming doors at night and early in the morning.

I should have read about this property better. There is no wifi in the rooms. The hotel is spread out over a large area (driving area) and you are not connected to the main building/restaurant). I found the rooms quite dark and dated. In hindsight, I’d stay outside the Village and drive in. It’s not terrible but not worth the money if you want more than a bed to sleep in.

The only reason why I rate this a little lower was because the lighting in the bathroom was a little dark. Temperature in the room upon arrival was pretty warm and it took quite a while for the AC to cool it down. But otherwise, we loved the price and the location couldn’t be beat!

Well priced rooms. All appliances and utilities worked and were clean. A very comfortable experience for our one night at the Canyon. I found that the wifi was a bit hit or miss but that could be due to either /or my cheap phone/ the remoteness of the area but not a massive issue (my partner had no issues in connectivity ) The supply of coffee and tea pods I find are not as environmentally friendly as the rest of the lodges initiatives as they're not very easily disposed of. But I would gladly book again next time, as the overall service and experience from the lodge and it's dining options was lovely.

A/C shot into shower and with low water flow at the shower head made for a cold shower. Staff forced me out of the check-in line after waiting ten minutes to a Keios self checkin where I had to wait another ten minutes, then started taking people at the checkin counter line.

We were greeted by an elderly employee who had hearing problems. She checked us in without any issues. However, later we discovered that she had charged us a second payment for the room along with the deposit. This meant that I had paid for the room both online and on-site at the hotel! Now, I will have to deal with the issue of recovering my funds. I believe that this happened due to the employee's fatigue and age, but it is my responsibility to resolve the situation.

We arrived late and I had called previously in the morning to ask for a roll away bed since we would be in late. The lady who answered said she would make sure we had one when we arrived. We arrived late and the staff was rude. The gentleman who answered said it was supposed to be done before night. I tried to explain I did call. He then proceeded to get an attitude but we were able to get one. Other than that it’s a decent hotel check in was easy. Coming in at night it’s kind of hard to find but it’s in a good spot.

From the start, our check-in experience was wonderful - Travis, the staff member, was very courteous and welcoming. We arrived late (11pm) and were worried that there'd be no one available, only to learn that the reception is 24/7 and there were a few self check-in/out kiosks available if needed. The property was very comfortable and conveniently located. My bias initially assumed everything would be dated, but our experience benefited from modern amenities and efficiency in service. The dinner in the dining hall was also surprisingly delicious, and the staff members were kind. We'd definitely stay here again!

Maggie at the front desk of Yavapai Lodge was outstanding. We were having all kinds of problems with our booking company. She stayed calm, persistent and eventually she made it all work out! I so appreciated her effort for 11 excited hikers on a epic journey.

Staff wasn’t very friendly at the hotel front desk or bus transportation. We had an issue with the TV in our room not working, after spending a lot of time with the tech in our room they could Not fix it. So they brought us a new one later while we were out but I don’t think they bothered testing it as the remote they left didn’t work for that tv. I called the front desk to let them know and they said there was nothing they could do without even an attempt to come take a look at it. Traveling with a young child this was an amenity we expected to receive. I asked to speak to a manager but was never contacted during our stay or after.

An amazing stay right inside the park. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast at the lodge wasn't free, but they had an all you can eat buffet for $20 or could get menu items for cheaper. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is well appointed and clean and ideally situated in the National Park. The staff were friendly and helpful but the food and choice (especially for vegetarians) was very poor. Quality was disappointing and on one occasion we were served pork in an ostensibly vegetarian dish (which to be fair we were offered a refund for). There isn’t enough space to accommodate all those wishing to eat, although service was fast. Choice in the nearby supermarket was similarly disappointing.

The lodge was perfect for our stay. Beds were comfortable and amenities were great. The all you can eat breakfast however was terrible. We spent A $95 for our family of 4 on breakfast and it was the worst. Everything else was amazing, would stay again!

Stunning Views and Great Hotel Staff, but the Restaurant Was a Disappointment The views of the Grand Canyon from the lodge were absolutely breathtaking — truly some of the best you can experience. The hotel staff was also exceptional: courteous, helpful, and attentive throughout the stay. However, the attached restaurant had the worst service I’ve encountered. Meals took well over an hour to arrive, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive. It was uncomfortable watching guests grow frustrated — some even arguing with their partners, likely out of stress and confusion over the long wait times. While the lodge itself is worth visiting for the views and service, I’d strongly recommend finding other dining options nearby.
