Beautiful cabin! Perfect location!! Could see canyon and walk along rim trail just steps from our door. Excellent food. Ate two nights in lounge bar. Loved being able to step out door to daytime shuttles and nighttime stars. Star gazing was amazing.

It is ridiculous that you register for a 6 night stay and they don't furnish you with more than 2 cups of coffee 2 towels and 2 washcloths. The TV didn't work. They quickly sent 2 different people to look at it, but it was then declared that they didn't know and maybe we could be comped for tv not working. While that wasn't a big deal at GC, having to constantly request coffee, washcloths, cups, etc...was a real pain when you're trying to enjoy all that the park has to offer. No guaranteed parking for hotel/cabin guests, so find a place and never move your vehicle. Restaurants were ok, but very expensive. Ice was only available in the Powell cabin, so enjoy the walk and finding it. The park, however, is fantastic! They've made everything so easy to get around and enjoy. I just wish the National park system would contract with different hotel services in order to have a nicer experience. This isn't the first park where the hotel contractor is severely lacking.

Hotel room is average at best. No TV or chairs to sit in. Outdoor lighting poor. The real benefit is location near the Grand Canyon. Just a few feet from the south rim. As they say .,. Location. Location. Location.

Grand canyon is amazing, hotel room was great, quiet and clean and comfortable even without air con. Great big fan and windows that open too. The bar on site Fred Harvey knocked up some great food and cocktails. Please avoid El Trovor cocktail bar, service appalling, was told to drink my cocktail in the reception area!!

This lodge was excellent! Our stay was in late September. The nights were in the 50s. We were able to sleep comfortably with the windows open. There is no AC. I would not want to stay here during the summer months. We hiked the Bright Angel trail so we were very close.

The room was styled as a cabin, with a lovely adobe style gas fireplace in the wall, and a view from the windows into the Grand Canyon. The bedding was comfortable, ample pillows and blankets, two chairs and a small table. Also a minifridge and a single cup coffee/tea maker. Bathroom, though small, was well equipped. Some outdoor seating facing the Canyon for leisurely viewing. A short walk to the Main Lodge with it's community fireplace, museum, restaurant and gift shop. Try the fudge!

What a fab cabin - number 6177, about 25 metres from canyon view and south rim trail. Stunning views. No aircon so was hot on first night even with the fan, but on the second we got in early so could open the windows (with insect nets) to let some air in. Very comfy bed. Food and drinks in the lodge were good and reasonable for where we were. Wifi was very intermittent but had 4G data.

The room was tad dusty (top of alarm clock and lamps), and found a sponge 🧽 under the tub. Otherwise, very clean. The alarm ⏰ clock went off at 6 a.m. (!!), fortunately we were up. It might be a good idea for housekeeping to check the clocks.

Outstanding views from the Grand Canyon right at the door step, sparkling clean room, very comfortable bed, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, poor sound insulation so would recommend ear plugs. Also, one side of the double bed without light switch, bedside table or charging plugs.

We were in a “historic cabin” which was lovely and quaint and right near the rim! The amenities are similar to a Hampton Inn, without free breakfast. The lodge building has a restaurant, and there are many walkable places for food. The bathroom is tiny, and there is not a lot of space for toiletries. But, that’s what you get in a place with personality and charm! We loved it.

I will say you truly cant beat the view. The room was nice and very clean. The staff at check in were wonderful. However, the bed was terribly uncomfortable, and while I expect to be able to hear a little of the other guests, they were stomping and slamming doors all night long. While that is not the fault of the lodge itself, it made for a very long and difficult night.

This lodge exceeded my expectations. These cabins are totally renovated and modernized, with the exception of still having no AC - but AC is not really necessary! A large mini-fridge. A decent coffe-maker. The lodge restaurant also exceed my expectations with both superb food and lower than expected prices. Parking was easy for my cabin area. I happened to have a cabin right on the rim so the view from my window was spectacular. What a superb hotel experience!!!

Beautiful cabin but unless you rent both sides of the cabin you can hear everything the other person says . We used our tv and I’m assuming if someone had a different sleep schedule or you wanted privacy you will not be happy

I absolutely loved my lodge room on the rim! I was steps away from hiking, restaurants and great views! The room was cozy, clean and renovated. I hiked the bright angel trail at sunrise and it was absolutely wonderful to have it so close! The only downside was no AC, I knew that booking it and don’t regret anything. There are fans and the windows open..totally worth the experience! Highly recommend!

The room was cozy and the bathroom was clean (except for the vent). It is a one minute walk from the Grand Canyon south rim trail The only negative aspect was the cold in the room: it was freezing and the small air conditioner wasn’t very useful

We stayed in the Powel part of the lodge which are rooms setup in motel fashion. Our room has a bathroom with tub/shower. The room was nice and clean. There’s no TV (which who cares) and the rooms are tightly packed so sounds could be an issue. The only thing that I could say needed fixing is the curtains. I had a hard time getting them to overlap when closing so I could have privacy.

A gorgeous location and pleasant enough stay but sadly didn’t quite hit expectation. Some of the staff we encountered appeared either tired or fed up and not overly bothered about valuing their clients. Not necessarily the fault of those on the restaurant front line, but it was clear there weren’t enough staff on duty and service and at times attitude was not to a standard we’d hope for when on vacation - especially in such a beautiful place.

We were allowed to check-in early which was a huge help since this was just one leg of our hiking adventure. Jeff from SD was *incredibly* helpful at the front desk, aiding us in securing a dinner reservation at the Arizona Steakhouse. The room was fantastic, but the bed was uncomfortable :/

The Bright Angel Lodge, although old, is in good condition and the lobby and common areas are kept clean. I expected the lodge to be old as we have stayed there each year for several years. We like the rustic nostalgia of the property. I am disappointed in the service at the lodge. I paid more for our stay this year than any other of our previous stays. I was told by the desk clerk when we checked in on Nov. 13 that my room would be "refreshed" in a couple of days. On Tues. Nov 14, I double checked with the front desk and was told our room would be refreshed on Wednesday or Thursday. By Thursday afternoon our room had not been serviced. The trashcans were full, the used towels had not been replaced, the bed was not made, and the floor had not been vacuumed. When I reported this to the front desk, I was told that the lodge did not have daily made service. I explained that I had been there nearly 4 days. They offered only to bring some replacement towels. While at our room, the employee emptied the trash for us. The clerk(s) should not have said our room would be refreshed if it was not going to happen, and it did not happen.

We booked 3 nights, but on our second day we were informed that we need to vacate the premisis, due to water supply issues to the Grand Canyon village. This is something that is completely out of their control and we fully understand. However, we were informed that we will be refunded for the one night which was cancelled by the Lodge. It has been 3 weeks since our stay and we have not received a single penny back.

The front desk attendant was wonderful, I was a bit early and she found a way to work it out. I really appreciated her efforts. What a wonderful place to stay while in the Park. I would love to go back.

Highly desirable location for hiking, views, transportation, and food. Would stay again. However, the 2 staff members assigned to check guests in were less than welcoming. Although we were the only couple in line, we felt like we were an inconvenience to their chatting. It was our first time here and they expected us to know everything. When we had a question later on, we were met with sighs of exasperation. Service at Fred Harvey’s Burger was very slow despite only having 3 tables in the restaurant. (There were 2 waitstaff working). Definitely recommend a training class for employees on GOOD customer service!

Bright Angel is right on the south rim with amazing views just steps away. Stayed in one of the cabin units - very quaint and nostalgic, kind of takes you back in time. One note: it's very dark at night and hard to see the cabin numbers.

Walk out the door and you are at the rim trail! Get up in the morning and see the sun rise, or step out into the night to see the Milky Way. Parking is good though could be full. Shuttles are steps away.

Bright Angel Lodge was our choice due to location right on the South Rim! The cottage was nice, cozy and not too rustic. I was hoping for a view..but got a window towards the road. Not too noisy though. But no outside space, porch or sitting area. Coffemaker and fridge in room, nice bathroom. But the cottage was connected to another cottage, and the connecting door was not very soundproof, and the neighbours loud.. which I’d known they were connected, not my first choice. That said, the location is great, shuttle bus just outside, close to lodge with dining. Parking ok, not great to unload/load..some steps to cottage (#6194). It is a cool place, but some of the other cottages better situated. Also, no table and only one chair for two people. Wifi was so so, and tv channels did not work. But recommended! We did enjoy our stay! The check in was a bit slow, but we got in early, and hazzle free checkout!

We had our own little cabin in THE best possible location on the rim of the Grand Canyon. You can’t beat that. Two shuttle bus lines stops are literally in front. We didn’t need our car for all three days. You also can walk East or West for miles on the rim trail which is right outside of our cabin. Thank you. The staff is very helpful and dining options are great.

Allowed us early check in. Cottage was cute and clean. No AC so room stayed at 82F until early morning but a couple fans were provided. Views are spectacular. Easy access to trails. Lots of dining options. We ate at Harvey’s which was okay-trout was overcooked but seasoned well. Friendly service.

Easy easy easy check in. Got here at 2 o’clock, the room was ready. Housekeeping staff very pleasant and helpful. Really a nice place. Just had a wonderful dinner at the Arizona steakhouse.

Ok you come here to see the Grand Canyon. To be staying right on the rim is just brilliant. But a few issues with our stay. The room we had has an interconnecting room and you can hear the neighbours. Another issue was the food options. The steakhouse was shut and the cafe and tavern almost have the same menu. Other options within the park but have to drive. Otherwise it was a great stay PS don’t have the pot roast at the cafe….absolute rip off!

I loved our little cabin. I wish the room had a microwave tho. We brought soups to eat so we wouldn’t have to eat out every meal. It was very cold so to be able to heat up our soups would have been nice. The restaurants at the hotels are in my opinion not very good. It was snowing and didn’t want to drive. I would stay here again tho, and prepare better on the food situation! Everything else was great. Being that close to rim trail and being able to walk everywhere was convenient.
